Heading Out is a road-movie inspired racing game mixed with an immersive narration, character creator and resource management.

We aim to recreate the spirit of cult American road-movies from the past. Such as Vanishing Point, Two-Lane Blacktop and Thelma & Louise.

Heading Out is a classy, interesting, and unusual rogue-like that combines multiple genres to great effect. Though the racing is somewhat repetitive, the incredible soundtrack, eye-catching visuals, and fascinating stories keep you hooked.

Heading Out delivers a unique gaming experience, and a powerful piece of storytelling. It has the strangest mix of gameplay elements and mechanics I’ve ever seen, and whilst it probably shouldn't work, it does so well.

Heading Out is a completely original title that disguises as a driving game to hide the many complexities that turn it into an awesome game.

Heading Out has a clear sense of style and carries the whole experience. It falters a little with the driving model and some small bugs.

Heading Out does the visual novel stuff perfectly well, but it fails to nail the breezy sense of freedom that should come with cruising the open roads of America. Flighty vehicle handling makes the driving part of the game an annoyance rather than something to revel in and enjoy.
