    I understand all the bad reviews for Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. Nevertheless, I enjoyed playing all of my childhood classics on the current generation of consoles. Not much new content, partially ugly graphics and some songs of the classic games are missing. But the missions and style of the three games are undefeated. If you never played the first three 3D GTAI understand all the bad reviews for Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. Nevertheless, I enjoyed playing all of my childhood classics on the current generation of consoles. Not much new content, partially ugly graphics and some songs of the classic games are missing. But the missions and style of the three games are undefeated. If you never played the first three 3D GTA games, you should! But play the oldschool versions!… Expand

    The game feel really out dated and are not very fun to play I thought I might be good to try them out I’ve never played them before they are awful San Andreas definitely feels better then the other two I can’t believe rock star would sell them it felt like a waste of money they really need to be remade fro, the ground up not remastered

    This is literally the worst remaster I've ever played. Bad controls that make the gameplay unnecessarily difficult, bad save points, character models that have not been updated and game breaking bugs that prevent you from finishing the game at all.

It is a shame to see that greed for money in its purest form led to such a shameful product, staining the formerly good reputation of Rockstar. One of the most hideous and absurd aspects about all this is that this product is called "The Definitive Edition". It should be taken off all stores immediately.

I'm at the end of the game and the automatic and manual save are crashed, so I give up of this bad game. Rockstar make a real **** doing this game. Who have bought deserves the money back.     I’ve been a fan of rockstar games since I first saw their first game, my whole childhood playing and loving all this brutal mechanics and now seeing the video games I loved when I was a child in a higher resolution than before and better graphics makes me feel so fk good.     The truth is not as bad as they say I have several funny clips of bugs but I feel that it is in a certain part funny that if the driving is horrible with the slightest curve the car slides through MAP AND MIDDLE and the posts seem to be made of kevlar together with many things without collision and funny abuses

Were they a less reputable publisher/developer this would be more easily overlooked. The thing is, we know they’re not strapped for cash. TheyIncredibly poor. Only, they did not want to put in any real efforts and to make matters worse, they banned the modding community before doing so. A community that loved GTA so much that they put in a thousandfold more hours compared to what Rockstar devs were allowed to make. The rest is history.

    Lighting issues, poor rendering, rain effect, and character models are often made to memes about this game, but the glitches, checkpoint AI really make this game bad. Do not waste your money on this game, find a copy of San Andreas or something for Xbox 360 and play it on your Xbox one

I like the restart feature even though it needs a checkpoint feature THE BAD: Gameplay is barely changed, it's especially rough wih GTA 3 The AI that upscaled the textures did a pretty bad job.     THE BAD:
    Gameplay is barely changed, it's especially rough wih GTA 3
    The AI that upscaled the textures did a pretty bad job. Lots of visual jokes and texture problems
    Horrendous character models
    Censorship, leave that **** for the Nintendo Switch ports
    Rockstar Launcher which you must ALWAYS be connected to play the games

    In conclusion: I'm super disappointed in rockstar. These guys made Warriors, Manhunt 1 & 2, Bully, and Red Dead Redemption for god's sake.     An absolutely shameful cashgrab of a remaster. Glitches, sloppy controls, really lousy automated environment art remastering. Three undeniably legendary games deserve better than this. Grove Street Games and Rockstar should be embarassed.

    Like GTA5, company just re-releasing the same game(s) with little too no effort to improve, solely for the purpose of the almighty dollar. Rockstar’s credibility has gone downhill and the proof is in the product. Company now cares more about squeezing the fans wallets than putting out a good product to earn revenue the right way. Asking full price for this half assed collection is criminal.

    I am completely comfortable dropping a heavy 0.0 on this whole trilogy despite having only played San Andreas because the controversies surrounding the trilogy and the utter absence of care and effort make this game the least playable game in history. Everyone likes to complain about how many times Skyrim is re-released and how EA and Activision don't put care into their games, but Rockstar has yet again blown their competition out of the water, this time in the market of lacking dignity and human decency.

    I'm sure everyone has seen the rain by now so I don't even need to address that debacle. For the most part the San Andreas "remaster" is just the assets and code of the original San Andreas transferred to Unreal Engine 4 directly with nothing modified to actually work with the new engine. Every texture looks like the original textures blown-up to 4K by a particularly unintelligent AI, the most basic reflection shader they could find was applied to only the vehicles and they updated the music they were allowed to keep and the SFX to have a higher bitrate. That's it. Those are the ONLY THREE improvements.

    The voicelines have the same sound quality, the models look and act uncannily because they do not like the Unreal Engine, the updated gunplay is miserable, the GTA V additions ruin the game with how few-yet-severe alterations they made to the game, and they removed cheats because they allegedly don't work well with Unreal Engine 4 (yet they didn't bother fixing any of the actual issues caused by Unreal Engine 4 not getting along with the game).

    The controversy of all the Cease & Desist letters sent out to people actually making passionate remasters of these games hanged this game before it had a chance to do anything and the obvious lack of experience that Grove Street Games has, if they were even honest about having any at all, was the snap of this game's neck at the metaphorical gallows.    … Expand

    On this version you cannot even complete Bloodbowl because it will crash the game. 100% is impossible.

    I can’t believe a genre like gta, and even more, coming from a giant like rockstar games would let me down like this. I can’t describe the hopes I had and I can’t believe that some random modders are able to create greater visual mods than a multi billion dollar company. Shame on you rockstar. I’m pretty concerned about how they might ruin the gta 6.

    This comeback of the three GTA classics feels superficial and poorly optimized, although some improvements are clearly visible. It's not the remaster we were hoping for, but these are still immortal classics that can still entertain and sometimes even amaze. And sometimes that's all we need.
