    Gears Tactics es visualmente atractivo (mucho en Series X/S), resulta ciertamente adictivo y al fin y al cabo es un juego tipo XCOM en el universo Gears, que no es poca cosa. Pero las misiones se hacen repetitivas hasta la saciedad y lo que empieza siendo una propuesta entretenida termina cansando y en cierto modo aburriendo. Con todo, muy buen juego para el Game Pass.

    Excelente juego táctico, y mas que es en el universo de Gears. Cumple todas mis expectativas, y muy desafiante, lo recomiendo totalmente.

    Highly recommended as long as you enjoy tactical turn based games.
    This one is much closer to XCOM rather than the Gears family of games.
    + very good graphics on Series X + blazing fast loading times + XCOM turn based gameplay, I highly enjoyed it + Bosses + VERY high difficulty level. On normal difficulty level you will be sweating a lot, trust me. + leveling up soldiers, skills    Highly recommended as long as you enjoy tactical turn based games.
    This one is much closer to XCOM rather than the Gears family of games.

    - in between the main missions you need to do some side missions. Kind of repetitive
    - for some (kids with turned off gore?) the difficulty level can really be too much, even on easy (boss encounters especially)
    - near the end game not enough legendary weapon mods, too much epic (end up being useless as your whole squad already is on the Epic gear)

    And that is is, I really did not find many bad things about this game. Loved every minute of it, as I am a big XCOM and in general turn based combat fan. The campaign is long and afterwards you can continue playing the Veteran missions, waiting for some DLC to come.    … Expand

    Another turn based tactical game. How original. It brings nothing new to the table. Furthermore, the controls are not great either. You will kill your own squadmates regularly, without warning. The worst part however is how often you miss, even with for example above 70% hitting chance and still missing 3 times in a row, makes it less tactical than tge title makes you believe.     Surtout que la technique n’est pas en reste, bien au contraire : en 4K/60 sur la    Tout peut arriver, y compris le très improbable… ainsi, la célèbre franchise basse du front et basse de plafond se la joue désormais hautement tactique au tour par tour ! et c’est étonnamment bien fait et fort réussi dans ses mécaniques indéniablement soignées et bien présentées : une sacrée surprise !

    Surtout que la technique n’est pas en reste, bien au contraire : en 4K/60 sur la Series X avec en prime de belles cinématiques, ce Gears Tactics n’est certainement pas en reste de ses grands frères à gros budget. Même la musique est sympathique et la VF reste de qualité.

    Cependant… après quelques missions, c’est l’inquiétude : la répétition est de mise ainsi qu’un… comment dire ? une espèce de farmage de missions obligatoire… entre chaque mission de la campagne ! à savoir qu’on est (aux débuts…) obligé de se taper 2 missions secondaires entre chaque mission de campagne (c’est déjà laborieux…) mais que ça devient pire par la suite puisqu’il faudra se coltiner 3 missions secondaires (répétitives) avant de pouvoir continuer la campagne… et ainsi de suite. On a donc ici un gros remplissage des familles, histoire de rallonger la durée de vie très artificiellement.

    C’est très con de leur part, car on s’ennuie, on souffle et on soupire encorfe d’ennui à refaire les mêmes sortes de missions… dans les mêmes environnements ! on en peut plus ! il aurait fallu se respecter un minimum, les développeurs, et tant pis si le jeu est plutôt court : ça permet de le vendre moins cher (là, c’est un prix triple A quand même) et de le rendre beaucoup moins chiant. Car à la base, un tour par tour reste un jeu lent par définition, de toute façon, alors pourquoi tirer sur la corde ainsi ?

    En dehors de ces considérations -déjà alarmantes- il faut mentionner quelques bugs… plutôt rares heureusement mais parfois bloquants : par exemple, mettant fin à un tour même s’il me reste un ou deux points d’action, un message ‘chargement’ apparaît en bas à droite… et tourne à l’infini au lieu de laisser la main à l’ennemi !

    Alors là, du coup, j’ai désinstallé direct… c’est le bug qui a fait déborder le vase ! un vase plein de farmage à répétition… Et pourtant, les combats sont intéressants, le jeu est bien fait… à la base. Quel dommage !    … Expand

    The second thing is that it is a rip-off of the Xcom series. And that´s the good part of it. I´m always looking for something that satisfies my hunger for this genre. Also I’m a gears fan. This game´s got 4-5 different mission that repeat themselves over and over again. The Boss-Fights are okay.
    Also there´s no altitude advantage and no speciality’s. The sad thing about this is; that you feel the developers are aware of that. The maps are made for this. I always feel like trapped, with no ability to use the environment (in a cover shooter!). Altitude advantage opens a lot more ways to play games like this and for that, it can´t be to difficult. Again I´m unsatisfied and still hungry. Who makes a worth competitor for Xcom?

    Dann ist es eine Nachahmung der Xcom Serie. Und das ist der gute Teil davon. Ich suche immer nach etwas das meinen Hunger für dieses Genre befriedigen kann. Außerdem bin ich gears fan. Dieses Spiel hat 4-5 unterschiedliche Missionen die sich andauernd wiederholen. Die Bosskämpfe sind okay.
    Ebenso gibt es keinen Höhenvorteil und keine Specials. Das traurige daran ist folgendes; dass du fühlst wie die Entwickler das wissen. Die Maps sind genau dafür gemacht. Ich fühl mich immer wie gefangen, ohne die Möglichkeit die Umgebung nutzen zu können (in einem Deckungsshooter!). Höhenvorteile eröffnen sehr viele neue Möglichkeiten Spiele wie diese zu spielen und dafür, kann es nicht so schwierig sein. Wiedermal bin ich unbefriedigt und immer noch hungrig. Wer macht denn nun einen würdigen Konkurrenten für Xcom?    … Expand

    Found this gem on gamepass and I must say I am quite satisfied. Congratulations to the developers for making an excellent game in an unfamiliar franchise.

    lots of bugs towards the end on the series x where the enemies' turn doesn't progress (enemy gets stuck on environment etc.). this happened during the final boss fight as well so i just had to watch the ending on youtube.

    Gears tactics has great turn based gameplay, with middling everything else. I enjoy turn based games, and this game takes a lot from xcom, which I enjoyed a lot. The story is ok, although it is minimalistic and straightforward. The game has repetitive game structure and mission design, with 3 core mission design throughout the game (search and rescue, kill everything, and capture and holdGears tactics has great turn based gameplay, with middling everything else. I enjoy turn based games, and this game takes a lot from xcom, which I enjoyed a lot. The story is ok, although it is minimalistic and straightforward. The game has repetitive game structure and mission design, with 3 core mission design throughout the game (search and rescue, kill everything, and capture and hold the point). However, it does force you to play every class, and use different abilities because of mission modifiers. I would reccomend if you enjoy turn based games, especially if you enjoy xcom...however if youre iffy on turn based games, just know it has minimalistic story and repetitive mission designs that runs well over 20 hours for most. Buy for turn based lovers (like me), wait for sale for everyone else.… Expand

    Gears Tactics is so much fun. As a person who has never played a turn based game, I found this game incredibly enjoyable. The only issue is that there is a lot of side missions that have to be completed in order to progress the story. The game is accessible for anyone, and is a must play for fans of the Gears series.

    Don't go into this game expecting the regular Gears experience but instead a spin-off in an easily recognizable world. New characters and villains help to continue the expansion of the Gears universe and solid gameplay make this an excellent recommendation.

The Tactics/RPG elements are grounded enough to fit in context with the Gears universe. It is fun to unlock loot after every mission and test each class/skill.     While I was fond of this game, there are design choices that keep it from being great. Most notable is the repetitive mission structure. The missions (minus boss fights) and settings mostly feel the same. Even worse, you are required to do extra missions to advance the story, which drags the game out. This issue is compounded by the low amount of experience you gain. You are given an extensive skill tree, but will only acquire a few skills by the time you beat the game. Once beaten, you can unlock Supreme loot and experiment by resetting skill trees at will, but the repetition essentially kills this game's replay value.

    This game was in my backlog for years, and I’m happy to have finally played it. It's concept was mostly executed well. I often thought about it when I wasn't playing, but I was burned-out after completion. One day, I could see myself returning to try a higher difficulty. - 7.5    … Expand

    Los personajes tienen bastan personalidad y la progresión es satisfactoria.
    Hay que aprender a jugarlo bien para disfrutarlo al máximo, esto no es necesariamente malo, aunque el juego no te obliga a aprender todas sus mecánicas, cuando lo haces, se convierte en algo adictivo.

    They did a great work transposing this licence to a new genre, all the typical elements are there and that's quite astonishing. The difficulty is quite the same as the others opus, plus the genre accepts little to no mistake and will make you think cautiously to any action taken.

Возможно, тут не хватает глубины , так-как миссии повторяются, и единственное ради чего хочется проходить - это хороший лут, который потом, после прохождения компании, можно найти лучшего качества, но к тому моменту многим банально это надоест.

    Но если задуматься - довольно таки мало игр подобного жанра выходят. Тут прекрасный саундтрек, эпичные битвы с Боссами, чувствуется динамика и напряжение. Большая ветка прокачки и кастомизация бойцов позволит вам создать по настоящему уникальный отряд, что очень приятно, так как их внешний вид так же распространяется на кат-сцены. Внимание к деталям тут на высоком уровне.

    В целом - очень хорошая игра, а если вы поиграли в неё через Гейм Пасс, то это одна из лучших сделок в вашей жизни)    … Expand

    Gears Tactics en un juego increible, entretenido intrigante y en mi opinion de lo mejor que se puede encontar en el mercado de este genero. Lo unico en lo que falla es en que las misiones se hacen repetitivas haciael final, pero tiene un gran balance dificltad recompensa y le sienta muy bien a la esencia Gears original, buena historia y excelentes graficos (para el genero).

    It’s a good game for me. Normally I don’t play those games on console/TV but this one has good controls, graphics are really fine and it runs smoothly on my series X.

    Gears Tactics gives you an excellent game-play mechanics, great graphics and interesting soldier classes. Even though the story is not as good as other Gears games, it will keep you interested enough to enjoy the 24-30 hrs gameplay. Also, it will give you different types of experiences according to the difficulty level. Great game, worth the chance.

    Juegazo, tanto en jugabilidad como en historia. Se hace algo corto la verdad, pero es que se te pasa el tiempo volando con semejante joya.

    At first I have to admit I went into this game expecting to give it a 6 but I was surprised with the production value from a game whose developers have never worked with the franchise. The IP is respected and actually feels like it expands upon the gears universe instead of creating its own little pocket story.     Love the Xcom Style tactics games, and one set in the Gears Universe is a dream come true. I have very little gripes with this game. I almost want to point out the player party is always incredibly outnumbered in every scenario, but some of the gameplay mechanics help to mitigate that.     Fun game thats different from all the others in the franchise but can feel overly long and stretched out but otherwise still a solid entry and definitely worth a playthrough.

    Unexpectedly, Gears Tactics is quite a competent and enjoyable tactical strategy game. The roots of what make a good tactics game are embedded in the DNA, combat is fun and yet somewhat familiar. However, Gears Tactics falls into the trap of laying down a great foundation with awesome mechanics but it does feel that the few creative ideas showcased begin to feel repetitive after the thirty plus hour campaign. That isn't to say that Gears Tactics is devoid of ideas either, Gears fans will be impressed with how the title pushes forward the narrative and newcomers will also be left in awe at how good the characterisation and cutscenes are, which are just as good as Gears 5, from a graphical and presentation standpoint. This is a great foundation into what should become a great spin-off series, should it continue.

    Even though Gears Tactics is a shock to the franchise’s core gameplay, the new strategic take still works for its unique setting. It may not play like any Gears that you’re used to, but it still fits and feels like a true entry into the series without feeling forced. While I could have done without the padded side missions, Gears Tactics still has amazing visuals, writing, gameplay and everything else that fans have come to love about the series. Super fans will obviously get the most from its narrative as it has deep ties into the series’ overall narrative, though strategy game fans can jump in and still enjoy the experience without being a Gear-head.

    Gears Tactics makes an odd choice turning away from the main genre that the Gears of War series is well known for but still captures that vital essence that fans have come to love. Playing this game on the Xbox Series X in 4k resolution is an amazing experience for any Gears fans or lovers of strategy games. The gameplay feels incredibly natural running on console and offers a really immersive experience for anyone. I’m especially fond of how much of the lore and content from the Gears series has been used in this game, especially the cinematic aspects that occur when executing a downed enemy. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who has ever played a Gears of War game or is looking for a challenging strategy game.
