    First this dlc started up a little slow but that was fine because that way I could take in all the beauty from my XSX.

    After the first mission I was immediatly in the game and the game did not threw me out a single time this is a really action packed dlc and this is how I would like the new gears of war story.     On Series X its just the best looking game I have ever seen. Runs 4k/60 no dips and even optimzed the main game with patches. Story is 3-4 hours with really nice locations some big bosses and a new cool squad of playable characters. Furthermore, this dlc is in Gamepass too!

    Gears 5 hivebusters despite being a dlc to 5, is exactly what I've been waiting for in a gears of War game since 2, gears 3 was good, 4 was horrible and 5 was decent but this is a great experience. While the story is rather short (being justified because it's dlc) and the characters aren't the greatest, the gameplay, controls, graphics, environments, enemy's, and overall fun factor simplyGears 5 hivebusters despite being a dlc to 5, is exactly what I've been waiting for in a gears of War game since 2, gears 3 was good, 4 was horrible and 5 was decent but this is a great experience. While the story is rather short (being justified because it's dlc) and the characters aren't the greatest, the gameplay, controls, graphics, environments, enemy's, and overall fun factor simply carry this game past it's flaws, if it were longer and the characters weren't inconsistent in thier attitudes this would be a perfect 10, overall, you have to get this dlc on series X especially if you're a fan of the gears series.… Expand

    Right now the best game in series X, technically superb, great action, fun!!

    It's the first time I find a DLC (a little bit) better than the main game. The rythm is excellent, the implementation of characters' abilities is the good idea, and the graphics are quite amazing here. A must for those who liked the franchise.

    Run, shoot, sprint, cover, reload rinse and repeat, could a game get any more stale? this franchise has and always will be and play like a 2005 game, no matter how pretty it looks, a real shame and lack of imagination. why we havnt played as the locust yet?

    Better than the base game. Stupid fun but keeps it short and sweet. There are actual character arcs in this 3 hour game. If you'd like some gears but more to the point with some variety, skip gears 5 and play this.

    I've been absolutely addicted to this game on my series X. It did not disappoint by any means. This is a truly amazing hardware showcase for the Xbox series X. Games like this make my purchase of the Xbox series X justifiable.

    Best DLC Ive played in a long time, and best of all its free through game pass ultimate. Looks stunning on the Series X, too.

    Une équipe improvisée vient donc dératiser en force (les dératiseurs, on les appelle) à grand coups de flingues et… de gros flingues, comme d’habitude.     Certes, rien de vraiment original ou de nouveau par rapport au jeu principal mais ça fait le boulot… même si faire cette extension (heureusement assez courte) après Gears 5 peut vous faire risquer… une indigestion !

    Le plus gros souci (aussi gros que les flingues) concerne en fait cette équipe de trois clampins (et même quatre à un certain moment) sortis d’on ne ne sait où et qui sont vraiment cons comme leurs pieds (et leurs flingues). Tellement cons, tellement clichés que tu te bouches les oreilles dès qu’ils racontent leur vie ici et là… on a juste envie de leur dire comme on dit dans le sud avec l’accent marseillais réglé au maximum : on s’en bat les couilles de vous autres !

    En outre et enfin, les personnages qui interviennent dans cette histoire annexe à deux dollars, sont presque tous issus de la diversité woke forcée, ce qui ne laisse pas d’étonner et d’irriter. D’ailleurs, signe qui ne trompe pas, les deux filles là-dedans ont vraiment des sales gueules et sont aussi féminines que de vieux camions-citernes rouillés. Mais bon, on ne s’ennuie (presque) pas et les décors sont splendides !    … Expand

    This is a solid self-contained expansion. It is near the length of Acts 2 or 3 in Gears 5 and has a surprising amount of backstory and heart. I hope to see this story and these characters have an effect on Gears 6.

    Apesar da qualidade gráfica ser nota 10, a jogabilidade e a história continua a mesma coisa, atira, corre, atira, entra em cobertura, atira, corre e etc... Faltou uma história mais parruda.

    The DLC’s shorter length does make the juxtaposition between heated, Gears action, and deeper, more heartfelt moments, feel a bit like the flicking of a switch, but the campaign itself is a must-play for fans of Gears. It makes some interesting steps forward for the IP, introduces a fascinating new cast, while the moment to moment is as thrilling as ever.

    Hivebusters is a safe but rewarding package that gives you more of what you love about Gears 5. The characters are strong, the campaign is solid, and gameplay is exactly what is expected. If you are a fan of Gears 5, then this expansion is a no brainer and is easily another reason to get Game Pass.

    Gears 5 Hivebusters is an excellent DLC that expands the lore of the Gears saga and provides us with moments of non-stop action. It's a great example of why single player DLCs should never die.
