Truly recommending this absolutely beautiful amazing game, one of the of 2020. Last open world game that made me feel like that was RDR2.

One of the best Assassin's Creed games ever made. Very mystical and beautiful open world. High recommendation from me.

What can i say that other haven't said already, imo it's one of the best AC games ever made. One of the best open worlds Ubisoft has ever created (out of all their games). Amazing.

Beautiful huge open world with lots of secrets and mysteries. I have heard some people complain about combat, i personally like it, didn't find anything wrong with it. Would be surprised if it's not nominated at game awards.

Youtubers who complain that there's too much content in this game or it's "boring" are exactly the type of people who wanna finish games as fast as possible, sht the review out and move on to next big game. I bet most of them wanted to get out of Norway as fast as possible instead of actually enjoying the scenery, exploring, etc. What a shame. But this game is amazing anyway so i personally don't care really. These same people praise Miles Morales because they got to finish it fast and move onto next big thing...pathetic. There seems to be many Youtubers who actually like it and understand this game and that's at least positive. Expand

It's really good game, if you actually wanna enjoy it, not rush it, so you could play next big game faster. Assassin's Creed games are meant to be played for months NOT few days. I bet penguinz gives it 4.5, because not enough action and too much sailing.

Not only one of the best games of 2020, it's one of the best Assassin's Creed games, better than last two. Thankfully it already sold extremely well, almost double the amount what Odyssey did. So despite some bitter youtubers who are trying to do absolutely everything to cancel this games, it's doing very well.

Some people seem to be disappointed that it doesn't have stuff happening all the time, everywhere you look and call it "boring" for that. It was never meant to be grand theft auto or dark souls. Never. Just cause it's not your flashy anime type game and you don't get it, doesn't mean it's boring.

Penguinz is almost like anime villain, because you know when he gives low score to games he don't like or understand (he has never liked AC games) then his minions will give 0's to that game without even trying it. He also looks like anime villain, so it actually makes perfect sense. Valhalla is good by the way, so much better than Odyssey.

No matter what these awful youtube channels are trying to say (who have been payed to trash this game) it's not boring, this game is amazing. There's so much to do and explore and it's actually interesting this time, unlike Odyssey that was hit or miss. Easy game awards candidate. Unlike so many 2020 games (re3remake,avengers,mafia), Valhalla has so much interesting content and things to do. Beautiful graphics, good voice acting and nice story.

    My experience -
Positives: 1. Norway is well designed
    2. England map design is even better 3. More than enough secrets / mysteries 4. Story is fun enough 5. Main character's voice acting is one of the best in AC series 6. Combat is fun, specially with abilities, without it's just fine 7. So many towers / houses / places to climb, parkour is million times better than in odyssey 8. I

    8. I really like some world effects, for example how ice breaks under you
    9. Variety of different enemies.
    10. Stunning graphics, landscapes, cities.
    Negatives:
    1. Like usual with Ubisoft games, performance could be better, but this
launch is about 300 times better than RDR2 PC version launch (and Rockstar had whole years for that).
    2. Some bugs as expected with huge open world games, but nothing awful.
    3. Is it just me or water seems kinda empty? Maybe i just haven't explored enough idk, i was expecting giant squids, Odyssey had whales, so why not.
Conclusion: One of the most beautiful and fun games i have played in long time.

I think biggest problem with Assassin's Creed games is that some people have absolutely no clue what kind of games these are. Assassin's Creed has millions of fans around the world and AC Valhalla had one of the biggest Ubisoft game launches EVER. And while many who like this game keep playing it and never really visit sites like this, metacritic attracts haters who very often don't even have particular game, just to give low scores, because it's so easy here. Any, absolutely any loser can make metacritic account with 3 minutes and give 0 score and that will affect overall score, it shouldn't be like that, but it is. For example yesterday one person made over 8 accounts in 20 minutes and gave 0's to this game, because his version was censored or whatever. His comments and scores are still on this site, that's how easy it is to manipulate that user score. Expand

Surprisingly good Assassin's Creed game, not only better than Odyssey, but it's just so much better. But it's pretty obvious that tons of people don't understand the appeal of Snowy Norway or Beautiful England and just call it boring. That's a shame, but whatever. To me 5 hours long Spiderman Miles Morales is boring, so to each their own i guess.

It is highly satisfying completing a story arc or traversing the world and finding things that you felt that other players might not have stumbled across due to the nature of the open world and its use of way finders. The lack of load times on Xbox Series S is truly impressive given the nature of environments, landscape, and elements that are present on screen. There were a few issues from characters floating in mid-air, bizarre enemy AI, and straight up freezes, although these were far and few between given the scope of it all. Intuitive and varied combat help keep things fresh, even if it does take a fair few hours of gameplay to really get going. Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a thoroughly enjoyable, open-world RPG that is an absolute must for Xbox owners.

In many aspects Valhalla resembles most of Ubisoft’s games, but fortunately progression feels a lot more natural this time around. The game’s not perfect but I had lots of fun conquering new territories, plundering churches, and pillaging coastal villages while following a mature story and enjoying gorgeous, believable medieval Britain. What could have been an elephants' graveyard of forgotten ideas instead feels like a series-wide victory lap. [Issue#353, p.96]
