If you're okay with a long experience and the RPG Assassin's Creed games, this is a no-brainer. I'm 55 hours into my first playthrough and still loving every moment. Very occasional bugs compared to previous AC games and a beautifully crafted story.

I like it. In a lot of ways better than Odyssey. No more trash weapons, you can build, you can duel like in RPG (block, stun, weapon combos, shields). I like worlds events, they are so funny. No stupid quests "bring 10 bunch of something". And the world is great and beautiful. And yeah, you can raid. Vikings!

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is the newest action role-playing video game published by Ubisoft which was developed by its Montreal studio. Assassin's Creed Valhalla created a tremendous amount of hype leading up to the next generation of hardware releases, and everyone was waiting to play it. Assassin's Creed ValhallaAssassin's Creed Valhalla is the newest action role-playing video game published by Ubisoft which was developed by its Montreal studio. It is the twenty-second release in the Assassin's Creed series to date. Assassin's Creed Valhalla created a tremendous amount of hype leading up to the next generation of hardware releases, and everyone was waiting to play it. Assassin's Creed Valhalla begins in the late 9th century in 873, when the Vikings invaded Britain to find a new land to thrive within. For the first few hours you will be in the icy suffering from political drama of ninth-century Norway where warrior Eivor having deep conversations about the future of her clan. You will step into the shoes of the Viking Eivor which can be male or female character that decision is left up up to you. Eivor leading his or her clan to conquer lands in England after Norway becomes crowded with war. Along the way, Eivor proves to be both a fearsome warrior and a loyal friend and family member. It's a duality, says narrative director Darby McDevitt, that will have Eivor pulled in different directions throughout the course of ''Valhalla'' and the decisions for where the character goes will be with in the players hands. For me Assassin's Creed Valhalla might be the best game in AC franchise. Its beautiful and huge open world makes you feel like you are walking in England however from time to time you can feel sparse in places but its habitat and environment changes your perception eventually. Eivor is a brilliant warrior and fearless and game makes you feel so realistic that you can see Eivor as a real human being. With a powerful system such as Xbox Series X, this game can be played 4K 60fps smoothly in its amazing open world and looks simply stunning. Ubisoft changed Assassin's Creed Valhalla and took the series in to another level over the improved RPG focused Assassin's Creed Odyssey. New quest types, assaults, raids new mechanics that unfamiliar with series such as ''no regenerating health''. Hitting in this game feels realistic better than ever, and sound and visuals in finishers look absolutely fantastic. With Assassin's Creed Valhalla Ubisoft created a new, innovative RPG-stealth gameplay. In the end this is the best in the series to date and by far my favorite. Does the new generation of gaming powered console assist in this, I'm sure it does but The AC long running franchise has rarely held up to the expectations of the time it was released and once again Ubisoft hits the mark of expectations for lucky early Xbox Series X owners. If you purchased a new console put this one on your must have list this holiday season if you haven't picked it up already. Expand

Stuning story, great open world, nice quest, settlement expansion, river invasions and much more new ideas for interresting gameplay. What I appreciate the most is the combat - very immersive, precise, well developed - the best in series.

The only thing I could change is world colors - sometimes too much colorful - I prefer much more real colors of grass, trees, etc...similar to RDR2.... but I understand that it depends on your taste.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. AC Valhalla is great!
Ubisoft constructed a beautiful Open World and it looked absolutely beautiful on my One X and Series X. The Story was pretty good, the beginning especially was really well done. The Character Customization is way better than in Origins and Odyssey and there are a lot of Customizable's! I liked the Combat of the Game, but it kinda lacked the Chaos which we had in Odyssey. We also can now dual wield weapons, which is a fine addition ( including shields)! The Skill Tree was massive in Valhalla and I had fun checking out the many skills it had to offer, i especially liked the one where we can send our wolf to attack enemies! The Raiding was by far the most fun part( alongside the exploration) and the most rewarding one. But this game also might be the most unpolished entry after AC Unity to the series, I encountered bugs on Series X and One X, and some crashes on my One X. But at the end of the road, these issues were nothing compared to the fun I had with AC Valhalla!

Verdict: 10/10. While this Game might be one of the most unpolished entries into AC, this also is an awesome Viking Adventure I recommend to everyone! I

Ubisoft is obviously going to patch it to get performance even better. Highly recommending this one. Expand

I have bought so many games this year, mostly because there was nothing to do thanks to quarantine. I bought Tony Hawk 1+2 remake, i bought Ghost of Tsushima, i bought 2018 spider-man (it's amazing btw), i refused to buy last of us 2 because how they lied to their fans, that was disgusting. But overall of all these games i have bought this year, i have enjoyed AC Valhalla most.

Best Ubisoft game they have made in 4 years, truly impressive stuff. To whoever says that
it's boring, i'm sure you will find your fun in Marvel's Avengers, leave good games to people who actually know how to enjoy them. This is literally perfect game to spend my time on until Cyberpunk comes out.

AC Valhalla almost feels like "Thank You" letter from Ubisoft to all their fans that have supported them past 7 years. It's truly amazing game and there's nothing more that pisses me off than these absolute nolife losers who gives zeros without even caring about this series or buying it. I wish all the worst in your lives.

Really surprised Ubisoft managed to make this. I mean they have had hits before, but after 2019 flop i kinda lost hope, seems i was too quick to judge. AC Valhalla is at least 100 hour game with tons of good content, locations, enemies etc. Story is also surprisingly good, specially if compared to Odyssey.

Good example is "before you buy" video, even tho it seemed that he simply didn't care about Norway-England culture and setting, almost feels like he liked Odyssey more and that's weird because Odyssey was way weaker game than this. Or maybe he is just tired of these huge game-worlds, i guess that happens when you start taking gaming as a job, instead of fun hobby. This one has million times more interesting content than Miles Morales, so i guess if someone just wants games to be quickly over, then Miles Morales is better choice. I personally love long games that have tons of content, so i would very much recommend Valhalla. To each their own i guess. Expand

Like i totally get it when someone is burned out of Odyssey and is not interested playing another 100 hour epic, but here' the thing, this one is so much better than Odyssey ever was. It's easily one of the best games of 2020, there's not even much competition. Like of the few games that can compete with this (from 2020) is Final Fantasy VII Remake and maybe Doom Eternal, that's literally it. It is highly satisfying completing a story arc or traversing the world and finding things that you felt that other players might not have stumbled across due to the nature of the open world and its use of way finders. The lack of load times on Xbox Series S is truly impressive given the nature of environments, landscape, and elements that are present on screen. There were a few issues from characters floating in mid-air, bizarre enemy AI, and straight up freezes, although these were far and few between given the scope of it all. Intuitive and varied combat help keep things fresh, even if it does take a fair few hours of gameplay to really get going. Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a thoroughly enjoyable, open-world RPG that is an absolute must for Xbox owners.

In many aspects Valhalla resembles most of Ubisoft’s games, but fortunately progression feels a lot more natural this time around. The game’s not perfect but I had lots of fun conquering new territories, plundering churches, and pillaging coastal villages while following a mature story and enjoying gorgeous, believable medieval Britain.
