Finally Anno arrives on console. All in all a good port of Anno 1800. The UI is a bit too clunky but after a while you get used to it.

Langweiliges Microsoft Game.

Slightly buggy and looks 1440p 30 fps on series x. No HDR so it also looks very colorless. Still a great game though, I have 36 hours in it by now and I am addicted. If only it had the DLC it would have been amazing. As it stands now it has a lot of content and is definetely worth your time, but if you have a capable PC that is a lot more worthwhile.

Anno 1800 brings the Industrial Revolution to Xbox Series with a solid port of the PC game. Get ready to rule the New and the Old world.

Anno 1800 Console Edition is a rousing success that hopefully spells further games in the series being ported over to console. The game itself is excellent, with an engaging campaign and open-ended sandbox mode to keep you plenty busy. But the improvements for console ensure this feels like it was almost built originally with consoles in mind.

While Anno 1800 Console Edition struggles to shine under its clunky controls and poor optimization, it manages to preserve the deep and addictive systems that define its identity. Serious Anno fans are better off sticking to the PC version of the game, especially since it won’t be receiving any of its post-launch content. However, strategy fans that don’t have that option should be more than satisfied with the new console port.
