    I’m always skeptical when it comes to RTS on the console. There have been attempts over the years, and while many were great on the PC, the controls on the console were meh at best. I’m glad to say that Age IV breaks the mold. The controls are super easy to use, doesn’t delay or feel sticky. It plays perfectly. The tutorial was great too. Thought I’d get bored, but instead a fun lesson inI’m always skeptical when it comes to RTS on the console.     Getting a good RTS on console is a rarity. Ive had a lot of fun with Age II XBOX, loved it back in the day on PC as well, but Age IV is where its at for me. Better graphics, gameplay is smoother, civs don’t play all the samey they are a bit more unique, and it just feels more modern to play. Controls for both games are very similar which is nice, but Age IV plays better for me. DefinitelyGetting a good RTS on console is a rarity.     wow! controls are on point! I played PC RTS games in the past, and never thought they would be a good fit on XBOX. I was wrong, Age IV is super easy to play and has everything the PC vrsion has including MOD support. Would love to meet the game wizards that made the controls soo good. amazed they were able to make it work.

    Fantástico como toda série, estava com receio ao jogar com o controle, mas eles funcionam muito bem. Também dá para jogar com o teclado e mouse no console.

    Historically, RTS has been the domain of PC players, mainly due to the control requirements. However, this iteration of Age showcases an intuitive and accessible control scheme masterfully tailored for controller, and with some great customisation options too. Every button press feels fluid and natural, allowing me to dive into the gameplay and immediately have fun. You can also play on mouse and keyboard which I might try, but honestly the controller has so many cool features I don’t see a need.

    The developers deserve commendation here. They've not only translated a complex game onto a controller but it feels like they’ve also set a standard for future RTS titles on console.     Age of Empires IV runs smoothly on the Series X, the controls are amazing and easy to use & learn, if you're a fan of console-RTS this is the game you should check out, this was my first time playing this game and I have to say its very much Age of Empires II but better and more enchanced with deeper story campaigns and highly detailed & unique civs focusing on quality.

    Overall I had a    Age of Empires IV runs smoothly on the Series X, the controls are amazing and easy to use & learn, if you're a fan of console-RTS this is the game you should check out, this was my first time playing this game and I have to say its very much Age of Empires II but better and more enchanced with deeper story campaigns and highly detailed & unique civs focusing on quality.

    It’s a perfect port.
    I’ve played hours of multiplayer and I’m yet to run into any technical issues.
    It very much feels like age of empires 2 to me, with improvements made. Which is exactly what I wanted.

    The mission to bring Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition from PC to Xbox is a successful one. Age of Empires IV may not make history buffs out of the uninitiated, but it is a compelling enough entry for those who are interested in the genre or the subject matter.

    Ultimately, I am completely satisfied with the Xbox implementation of Age of Empires 4. What already worked well in part two continues seamlessly here. The title is perfectly playable with the controller, and those who don't feel like 'sticking' it out can also use the mouse and keyboard.

    Microsoft has done phenomenal work reviving and revitalizing the Age of Empires franchise and it is an absolutely blessed time for the strategy genre, especially if you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber who is looking for a new experience. Microsoft has done phenomenal work reviving and revitalizing the Age of Empires franchise. I can’t put the Xbox edition of Age of Empire IV down; I am truly absorbed by the new way to play.
