    Another OUTSTANDING game for XBOX and PC players by Microsoft Studios. They've truly outdone themselves with keeping the strategical gameplay fresh and accessible. The graphics are very pleasing to the eye for this type of game, the soundtrack also helps keep your mind into the experience. I highly recommend this title and hopefully this is the game that puts Age of Empires where itAnother OUTSTANDING game for XBOX and PC players by Microsoft Studios.     Dou nota 10 não só porque AOE 2 é um dos melhores, talvez o melhor, RTS já feito mas porque essa versão de console ficou impecável, pegar um rts feito apenas pra mouse e teclado e fazer ser jogado perfeitamente no controle parecia ser uma tarefa impossível, tanto que vários rts de console, como Halo Wars, são mais simples comparados aos de pc... MAS CONSEGUIRAM!!!!!!     Good game. already getting bad review bomb by Russian and conservative bots and losers. god knows why. Maybe one of the Kings is gay or learning history is "woke". I don't know, who cares. When you look at user reviews on Metacritic, look for a big disconnect between critic and user score, or just a lot of negative scores along with a lot of positive.     I was concerned about playing this using a controller. While not as intuitive as KBM it works incredibly well and I hope opens the XBox up for more of these games.

    Awesome Port! The Nostalgia, wololo. Koop is a lot fun, give it a try. And day one on GP, thats how we love it.

    It's a classic, now on console, and with good tutorials to learn how to use it. I'm very happy to be playing this game again. Thank you, Xbox! With better graphics and on GamePass, I can't ask for more.

    A great game finally on console. The control system is a bit of a learning curve especially if you see used to playing on PC but I can’t recommend this game enough.

    One of the best strategy games ever made , now on a console, and great implementation of playing this game with a controller, although you also can play this game with mouse and keyboard on your series S/X, so much content, if you never played this on a pc , you're in for a treat, so much content!.

    Another win for gamepass imho, keep the diversity going MSFT.

    loving every minute of this! i've already played more game pass in 2023 than all of 2022. i like how this controls better than a halo wars or gears tactics but still not as good as keyboard and mouse. age of empire will always have nostalgia for me and this game delivers.

    Timeless classic with lots of content. The port itself is very good albeit the UI is a bit clunky. It got some nice Quality of Life features tho.

    Não achei que a MS conseguiria colocar esse game pra jogar com controles tão facil!! Melhor jogo nesse estilo, dublado e da pra mudar a qualidade pro ultra, estou jogando no xbox one x

    Why am I paying for GamePass for this garbage! I love Game Pass but digging up old games like this with a new coat of paint is a Joke! Xbox dropped the ball on this one

    Excellent game, choice of controller or keyboard and mouse, great graphics amazing gameplay.
    This and Hi-Fi Rush show the great direction Xbox is going, meanwhile Sony can only release the PS5 'Flop' of a game Forspoken (Metacritic 65%) this year lol.

    I used to have this game, Age of Empires II: Definitive Digital Edition on Xbox, until Xbox banned my whole gamertag 15+ year old account with over $10k in digital games, movies, tv series, dlc all for something I posted in a GAME REVIEW yet they cant quote me as to what exactly I said and respond to my BBB complaint with "we have no obligation to provide evidence" when I violate theirI used to have this game, Age of Empires II: Definitive Digital Edition on Xbox, until Xbox banned my whole gamertag 15+ year old account with over $10k in digital games, movies, tv series, dlc all for something I posted in a GAME REVIEW yet they cant quote me as to what exactly I said and respond to my BBB complaint with "we have no obligation to provide evidence" when I violate their fragile "TOS". The multi-billion dollar business has no obligation to provide valid evidence for something so permanent as a PERMAMENT SUSPENSION FROM ACCESSING ANY OF YOUR PAID FOR CONTENT ON THEIR SYSTEM?!?! The thing is...you CANT leave any real hateful comments and cuss words in reviews or XBOX doesn't even even save them, just blanks it out like you didn't type anything at all. Also I would've never said anything that warrants this kind of permament suspension, at worst I was talking crap on EAs Sims 4 predatory gaming practices of cutting a main game up and selling it to you in 20-$40 "game & expansion packs". So the suspension is complete BS, groups of circle jerks can get together and report something you typed as offensive and it auto-bans you and some lame gamer on a power-trip volunteering for their "ambassador" program (more circle jerks with fragile egos) reviews the ban and appeal. Boycott Xbox, they don't deserve your money with their "woke" parenting of even the lamest of things like GAME REVIEWS. I literally cant even sign into my account to access offline content, its ALL GONE thanks to an Abusive system MS lets auto-handle, the first miss steps of "AI". Buyers BEWARE.… Expand

    Nunca pensei que pudesse jogar um RTS no controle. Age of Empires II conseguiu essa proeza. Porte sensacional para o Xbox.

    I honestly can't believe how well they mapped the controller to fit this game! Mouse and keyboard still better, that being said it has mouse and keyboard support!! 24ish years of my life to this game and I still love it! graphics have been much improved for this edition some frame issues that I have experienced but not bad only point I've taken away from this masterpiece. Bravo

    I thought I wouldn't like strategy games on console and doubted how well AoE will be on XSX but man I'm so impressed how smooth it is and how easy the controls are, going from M&K to controller was so smooth and didn't face any issues. very very well done port!!

    I found this game very fun and hard to put down for the first two hours. After that, I had a massive army and all I could do with them is send them somewhere to attack. I did that but then they all died, so I had to rebuild the whole army. It also got pretty repetitive after the two hours.     Having never played an AoE game before I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy it or not, but thanks to game pass I was able to try it out.. over 100 hours in game later I think its safe to say I enjoy this game! I was concerned about how the controls might be since its originally a pc game but I have to give massive credit to the team for making it feel like a natural cross over.     I great remake lots of new content better ai and bugfixes a great game for all RTS and age of empires fans. It is also great because regular updates are comming to the game and multiplayer has been reworked so it isnt a pain in the ass to play with friends. The only problem is that I think with all the DLCs there might be a bit to many civs and it is hard to keep track on all of them

    Awesome game, timeless game!
    One of my favorite games, after playing many hours on HD, they have improved a lot the interface, playability and it's always updated with map rotations every 2/3 weeks! Especially at a modest price! They have improved the multiplayer system
    I highly recommend it.

    Really good rework from the original. Better graphics and play mode with mixed 3d and 2d. Takes some time to get used to the new hidden bonuses but no major problems.

    The Xbox version of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition managed to surprise us with the controller controls. After such a fun experience there is no doubt that Age of Empires IV port will turn out great.

    Age of Empires 2 might be showing its age a little, even with the Definitive makeover, but it is still – and always will be – a timeless classic in the history book of video games, and remains as addictive as ever. It’s amazing to see Microsoft giving Xbox users some much-needed RTS love and going the extra mile with full controller support, despite the fact a few extra things are missing. This release does seem to be just the start of Microsoft’s plans – with Age of Empires IV up next for Xbox. Here’s to the return of the king!
