    Absolutely fantastic rally SIM. This is a leap forward for the official WRC games, so much has been improved since WRC8. I played on an xbox one x. Although framerate is only 30fps, its very smooth and responsive. Graphics are great to. The level of simulation in the driving makes it so fun yet difficult to master. Fantastic stage design with dynamic weather gives an experience better thanAbsolutely fantastic rally SIM. This is a leap forward for the official WRC games, so much has been improved since WRC8.     WRC 8 is above all a superb rallying game, if you love the WRC you'll love this game. It is also a real step forward for the series in every area including graphics, accessibility with the voice-over tutorial, car handling, tuning, team development, career structure and most of all playability.

It is also a real step forward for the series in every area including graphics, accessibility with the voice-over tutorial, car handling, tuning, team development, career structure and most of all playability.

    So why just an 8/10? Well, there are some small issues that would need to be resolved. The game has caused several Xbox One X full system power off crashes, these seem to be related to the voice over tutorial kicking in but I can't be certain. Car handling is much improved over WRC 7 but there are still occasional moments when the car reacts in a strange way, the handling isn't as consistent as Dirt 2.0. Default gamepad handling is too twitchy but can be improved by turning sown the sensitivity. Some wheel peripherals are reportedly not recognised by the game (eg Sparco TSS Handbrake). The Career mode has some bugs, I have achieved medium-term objectives that I didn't have in the objective screens and at the same time been told I failed other objectives which again were not those assigned by the team. Luckily none of these factors spoils the game too much.

    Quite possibly the most unexpectedly improved game so far this year, previous iterations have just churned out the annual update with a few new cars and slightly better graphics. With WRC 8 they've given us a complete package and a game that has that just one more go addictiveness.    … Expand

    WRC8 is a terrific rally racing game that starts with basic and easy to learn controls. I personally like the layout of upcoming obstacles as well as the different car types. This would be a great game for pros. Playing this game you will progress mentally and your reaction timing will be off the charts. This is a type of game that the player would get addicted to. Each track is different with new obstacles also including extreme weather conditions. Over all this is a exhilarating game that I would recommend to all gamers.
    The graphics do meet the expectation of the Xbox One system. WRC8 reminds me of Dirt 3 which is also a good recommendation. You play with various types of vehicles that all rally racers would use. The first car you start with (WRC Championship Car) is good for speed and reaches 380hp. The second car group (WRC 2) is a four-wheel drive vehicle that is good for treacherous terrain. The third (Junior WRC) are manufactured to put all crews on the same footing. Bonus cars give a good chance to try rear wheel drive.
    The sounds of WRC 8 meet the standards of any racing game. When the engine revs up too much, time to change gears. I personally am a first person shooter type but this game introduces you to a whole new world of entertainment. This new game to the WRC series beats the last in my opinion. WRC8 should receive all the praise and glory for it is a great game with a tremendous amount of fun.

    Lots of tracks and terrains to always keep you interested
    Good graphics
    Tremendous amount of fun

    Cons: Hard to handle at first, takes some time getting use to the handling.

    Overall I give it a 9/10 This game was fun to play once able to get the handling under control.
    I recommend any player, pro or new, to give this game a try. You will not be disappointed.    … Expand

    The controllability of cars is very poor with controller the control is awful the same problem is in other wrc games -2 points

    Xbox one x How hard it is to get 1080p at 60fps. Why other game makers succeed

    For dirt fans and rally fans, I think its absolutley worth playing first wrc i have ever played and I am having alot of fun with it very realistic and career mode is amazing

    WCR 8 FIA World Rally Championship is maybe the most challenging rally games on the market. The driving mechanics will scare every beginner off. Too bad, because the tracks look awesome and the graphics flourish with the dynamic weather. So some hard rally training and you will have a good time with this game!

    Garbage racing game I'll stick with Forza thank you plus I don't like these gran Turismo looking car simulators and this looks like gran Turismo but shertter

    On the surface WRC 8 would look like a game made for rally fans, but it misses the mark by miles and with there being so many other fantastic rally and racing games already out there to choose from, I can only recommend that you go looking elsewhere.

    We’re not quite into PES vs FIFA territory yet but if WRC 8 is anything to go by KT Racing are on the right track. WRC 8 isn’t perfect and there’s a few, unfortunate failings that hold it back from perhaps being the overall winner. However, if multiplayer competition doesn’t swing things for you then WRC 8’s single-player components are compelling. Those disillusioned by Codemaster’s recent outing may find the challenge and the subsequent thrill of success in WRC 8 a more compelling package.
