    WarriOrb on Xbox One is hard. It is unfair. You will have to swallow that unfairness until you can find a workaround. There are undoubtedly better hardcore platformers out there. BUT, if that doesn’t dissuade you, and you’ve beaten Dead Cells, Hollow Knight, Salt & Sanctuary and the rest, then - hats off to you - there’s some charm and joy to be had in this little sphere’s adventures.

    WarriOrb is mostly a platform game which I personally am not normally a fan of the genre. However the mechanics and story did have me amused.WarriOrb is mostly a platform game which I personally am not normally a fan of the genre. However the mechanics and story did have me amused. The interactions with the NPSC were hilarious at times. The graphics were rather played down in my humble opinion and the mechanical interactions could have been finer tuned. For a game that wanted you to be precise at times with your jumps i felt they didn't set the boundaries properly, as sometimes you died when you clearly made the correct input to do so. Plus when it came to setting checkpoints you have to set them yourself. Then after you got to a place you needed or wanted to. You were then forced to go back in order to undo the checkpoint. This was a major flaw in the game even if it was a design decision. There is fighting in the game but it was very basic and doesn't always register properly. I did enjoy the movement mechanics and how it intergrated with the backgrounds. I do feel it lacked proper story or at least left things to be imagined with no clear answers as to why. I don't typically enjoy the platform genre, but this game was interesting enough to make me want to complete parts of the game when I played, and it definitely had me raging in some areas but i was feeling accomplished when I accomplished those moments in genre style. I don't think the price of admission is unfair so if you enjoy the genre you will have absolutely no issues enjoying what it offers and even those like myself who don't typically play them found fun to be discovered on my Xbox One console.… Full Review »
