It may be a short journey to the top of the tower, but it's a fun, challenging journey you'll be glad to have embarked on.

Other than traversing the tower, there isn’t much else to do in the game. It can be completed in a couple of hours and then after that, there isn’t anything here to keep you invested for longer. But the price takes that into account and Warlocks Tower is reasonable at just £4.99. And for that, you can’t grumble.

Warlock’s Tower isn’t half bad for a retro-fueled puzzler. The game paces itself rather well through the steady introduction of new mechanics, and although it somewhat struggles to remain interesting in the long-run, one has to commend its solid difficulty curve. You’re unlikely to be blown away by what’s on offer here, but you’ll certainly be getting your money’s worth, especially if you’re a fan of the genre.

I am a long time fan of puzzle stylized games, and I always have an interest in a new game that releases in this genre. Warlock's Tower has made its way to the Xbox One, and as far as puzzle games go it’s actually a solid addition to the genre because it does a nice job of keeping things fresh thanks to the different in game mechanics. I also enjoyed the game’s difficulty curve as well because even though the game can be a little on the frustrating side, it still does a nice job of easing you into the fray. You’ll be returning back to Warlock's Tower several times, because the game does have a decent amount of content for you to complete and there is enough variety to stop things from getting old. If you look past the basic retro presentation and the little bit of frustration on occasion, then you’ll find Warlock’s Tower to be a fun puzzle game that puts your abilities to the test. Due to the low cost of admission and the fact that Warlock's Tower is worthwhile to complete and it's a worthy title for your Xbox One library for fans of the genre. Full Review »

Ratalaika delivers another game to us this week and you guessed it easy Achievements, but also a really original puzzler. You play as a Mailman trying to make his way through the dungeons. You get three moves to get to another move stone. The stones give you either three or five moves. The objective is to get to the door with out running out of moves. That isn't the only thing that gets in the way though. The levels are full of Zombies, Traps, Portals, Slimes, Belts, Switches, etc tons of things to really make you think. So with that and over 100 levels it will keep you busy a long time. That is unless you cheat and use a walkthrough to get the quick Achievements or trophies. In that case there are vids that show you how to get them in under 10 minutes. I recommend you play it though, because it's really worth doing on your own. It will really test you, especially the final boss.
It looks and sounds really retro. it looks like Awesome Pea did like a classic GameBoy title. it would have made a excellent addition to that library back then. it holds up against a lot of those classics on that hardware.
Is it for you? If you don;t like Puzzlers probably not. Most people like them I think though considering Tetris one the most selling games of all times. If your a Trophy or Achievement Hunter your gonna love it as well. All the trophies are for beating levels or discovering NPCs. I really think this is something different though as far as puzzler games. Even has the ability to control two different characters. So I think you should check it out, and let us know what you think. Just like every Ratalaika game before it, it's really affordable and going to deliver a few nights, or weekend of enjoyment.

Pros: Classic Retro look and feel
Really fresh ideas in the genre
    Plenty of levels
    Cool NPC characters

Cons: Wish it was even longer :)

Overall: 8.3 A fun affordable puzzler that will award you with a easy Achievement score and hours of using your mind to solve areas.
