I noticed quite quickly that the game has lots of variety in a number of different areas and this without a doubt made things stay fresh and interesting for longer. The game is both fun playing on your own and with friends and I’m pleased to say that the online components hold up really well throughout.

In terms of content the game has a decent amount for you to get to grips and you will no doubt return back to this game time and time again. You can do a lot of customisation to your character and taking them into battle very rarely gets dull because the combat is pretty decent. Each element in the game combines together really well and I was pleased that they didn’t try to make doing certain things too complicated. There isn’t really anything wrong with the presentation side of the game I just felt it to be a little boring and nothing much stood out here. The story may be good in parts but overall it failed to keep me interested and I’ve seen better. Does Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr do enough to get a recommendation from me? Warhammer 40k: Inquisitor – Martyr has had its release day pushed back several times on the Xbox One and whilst this was pretty frustrating I’m kinda glad that they did because they’ve released a game that has very few problems and it offers you a smooth experience throughout. The smooth experience though isn’t the highlight of the game for me though because I’ve reserved that for the variety the game has. I’m not exaggerating when I say that every aspect of the game has variety and when you combine that variety with the game’s different elements you end up having a very enjoyable experience even when you play on your own. I would however recommend that you play this game with friends because this is when the gameplay truly shines and thankfully I’m pleased to say that the game doesn’t have many problems at all when played online. This then means that Warhammer 40k: Inquisitor – Martyr gets a big thumbs up from me because it goes about everything the right way.

Good solid game. A tad repetitive though and has alot of wasted potential to be so much better. Enjoyable and strangely addictive

The game feels more like a very long concept demo rather then a fully fleshed game. The
itemization is the worst I have ever seen in ARPG, seems that the only thing that matters is quality (ilvl in other games) and not actual stats. Sometimes you get to a point where for several levels the items can roll exactly the same stats ranges but the quality level raises anyway?!?. It is a broken

It is a broken game, I really regret having bought it full price. There are other things like bugs and the very small and boring maps. Save money and time, play something else.

Typical lazy and incompetent pc-port with text that’s too small, controls that feel awkward at best and ugly graphics. On top of that I was forced to create an account to play this garbage-game. Yikes.

gets boring reaaaally really fast. it´s repetetive to no end, no sense of progression. it´s not really an rpg since leveling up doesn´t change anything at all. you leveled up? great now invest your points in another 0,0000001% damage boost. the box says it´s diablo in the 40k universe. if that was their goal they failed miserably. in diablo each level up was something special since yougets boring reaaaally really fast. it´s repetetive to no end, no sense of progression. it´s not really an rpg since leveling up doesn´t change anything at all. you leveled up? great now invest your points in another 0,0000001% damage boost. the box says it´s diablo in the 40k universe. if that was their goal they failed miserably. in diablo each level up was something special since you gain new skills or modify existing ones to change and adapt your tactics. it was someting new and fun to play around with here the skills are bland and broing and mostly useless and very few in number you´ll unlock ALL of them within the first few hours of the game and that´s it. that wouldn´t be that much of a problem if there was decent loot to be had, something new to play around with. but again no. you get bombarded by trash you´ll never use. they new damn well why they but auto sell all buttons in the game because you´ll ne using them constantly. i´m a huge fan of both 40k and diablo so this game should be just the thing for me and if you just skip through gameplay videos it might look decent at first glance. but trust me it´s not. it´s so much wasted potential incredibly poor game design. they clearly had no clue at all what their doing here and wasted yet another opportunity to make decent 40k game. it´s sad but this one is just like its loop useless trash that should be sold instantly. Purchased this specifically because they touted local coop. Yeah... having P2 be a random character with no customization? And having to be always online even to play solo??? HARD pass.
This was touted as Diablo 3 meets 40k.

Diablo 3 at least has real coop.
4 player local, no need to be online.

I would have been better off burning the money I wasted on this.

Broken and boring...no coop (a random character is not coop) game play is slow and always online even for solo play is a detriment to gameplay.

This game looks and runs absolutely awsomeone Xbox one x, high resolution, not stable but high frame rate close to 60, its a real treat and underrated gem.
This is ARPG at its best. Its complex and does not hold you hand means hours and hours in it will be surprising you with amazing things.
I reminds me on another ARPG that I loved on release but many simpletons couldn't get their head

I reminds me on another ARPG that I loved on release but many simpletons couldn't get their head around so they just rated it low and complained about it, a little game called "Path Of Exile". Just like POE Martyr it being unfairly reviewed by people that don't get the complex and deep systems in this game and are confused because they think its supposed to be an Cation Shooter.
Combat doesn't have to be pinpoint a twitch sensitive, its about the building of the character and the variation, and Martyr has those things in spades.

One of the better XBox GamePass games. Actually pretty good action, and it helps if you like the Warhammer 40k universe, because the story is quite okay for this kind of game. Horrible plot and voice acting, horrible animation and graphics (XBOX one S), horrible performance over all. Locked character that requires 20 euros to be unlocked. Online only with a mandatory account creation. All of this costing 50 E. What a dreadful game ..... and I am a 40K fan. Owned every dawn of war and the space marine games.

War hammer is a fun to play game especially in co op. It is very simple to get the hang of and that is something I like about it very much .The story is also easy to follow along too.

The game has come a long way since launch. Lots of content and it's just awesome to be in the Warhammer 40K universe. Biggest disappointment is that on console the game is always behind. PC always gets updates and new content first. I have played on both systems, and ended up compromising. I find the controller option to be the most fun way to play, so I play on PC with a controller.

Boring gameplay - hardly any maps... they are all just randomly generated and even bad at that! No "open wortd" at all. STAY AWAY from this game, even 20€ are to much!

There are plenty of enjoyable elements to be had but with repetition proving heavy throughout, you have to be prepared for the grind to really get the most out of this Warhammer-RPG.

Warhammer 40000 Inquisitor Martyr gives us a game that despite not being the best in performance, it does guarantee us a lot of hours of fun through a system of missions that could have no end, and with the possibility of playing them in cooperation with friends.

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor Martyr (told you the name was ridiculous) is a solid game that I had a lot of fun with…once I got past its blemishes. A patch or two and this game might be a must-own for ARPG fans. Right now though, it is hard to recommend due to its hindrances.
