About 4 hrs in and couldn't bring myself to finish it. Long, repetitive, drawn out scenes, with recycled map layout. I literally might have got out of the same hospital bed 5 times! If you've seen the story once, you've seen it a thousand times. Jump scares where present here with some tension but it's so few and far between that I can't drag myself through the muddy story to get to it.

I wouldn't doubt that the game is pretty terrifying. Visuals are impressive. And there are some story beats to appreciate. The game's problem is its direction. I don't have too much of a problem slowly walking around a spooky house and clicking light switches and finding keys and all that usual stuff you find in indie horrors. Running away from creepy dudes is always tense, but why am II wouldn't doubt that the game is pretty terrifying. Visuals are impressive. And there are some story beats to appreciate. Just give me at least a little bit of context before you make me walk through this same corridor for the fifth time!

I think the developers built a series of spooky environments, some spooky looking enemies, made everything real dark and spooky-like...then they figured out what the rest of the game was meant to be about. Well...I need more of a purpose to s*** my pants.

One of the worst games I played for a long time. It's slow but slow as you can't imagine in your most terrific nightmares. Sure, it's a horror but not in the good way. The gameplay is a masterpiece of garbage, slow again and not well made. It's like driving a tank in the darkness. Darkness are useful here because they hide the ugliness of the graphics. Visage is a first-person psychological horror style game. Explore a mysterious constant changing house in a slower paced but atmospheric world that combines both uncannily comforting and horrifyingly realistic environments, and enjoy a genuinely terrifying experience. Before we discuss about the game I need to say that you should make sure you're not prone to photosensitive epilepsy. You begin the game in a house without a real sense of what is happening or any real goals. The hands-off approach toward discovering it’s many mysteries could be off-putting for those looking for guidance, but wandering the haunted halls without instruction is extremely effective as it builds up from flickering lights to shuffling spectral aberrations. "What is special about this game " is the question because psychological horror games are so main stream lately and they just keep coming none stop and trust me you can't play them all, and everyone has a different experience with this genre of game so let’s hope visage brings something like Silent Hill to the Xbox One. Without any spoilers I can say I was pleasantly surprised I enjoyed Visage as much as I did, It's won it's place in the long list in this genre on the Xbox One and trust me you will not be disappointed in this very enjoyable experience. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It would be a good game if it was release years ago, because the graphics it is one of the worses of this last generation. I would advise to watch the walthrought in the Internet. Also the puzzles doesn't make any sense sometimes. My advise is to wait for a reduction in PSN. It is not a well - finished game. Expand

Visage was birthed from the death of P.T. While that can make one as trepidatious as they are excited, know that of all the games to follow in Kojima and Del Toro’s wake, this game has found the essence of that brand of horror and elevated it to something unique. While that can make one as trepidatious as they are excited, know that of all the games to follow in Kojima and Del Toro’s wake, this game has found the essence of that brand of horror and elevated it to something unique. Not only is this game filled to the brim with atmosphere, the developers also made varied and interesting gameplay out of the “no-combat” approach to horror, keeping things fresh. There are also many frightening moments that you could easily miss, perfectly executed little scares that are designed for if you happen to be in one exact spot facing one exact way, always keeping you on your toes. The inventory system feels burdensome at first, but once you’ve passed the curve it works perfectly. The puzzles and exploration are designed to be for detail oriented players, as it is not always obvious what to do. While this could be frustrating, as long as you look everywhere (walls, floors and ceilings included) you should find your way. The graphics are 97% brilliant. The one miss is human models are pretty ugly, and can be a bit jarring the first time they show up. But other entities are beautifully horrific, and the design and craftsmanship of the game world is utterly spectacular. Nothing will ever replace losing Silent Hills, and Konami’s absolutely idiotic decision to pull P.T. still stings. But for those who loved P.T. and want a damn terrifying experience, this is a must. This game took many years to make, and now we know why. It is a modern horror masterpiece. Expand

Una verdadera experiencia de terror. Donde se ahonda en un tema muy complejo con mucha valentía y dando como resultado una obra atemporal.

Mildly creepy, atrocious controls, bare bones linear repetitive game play paired with getting RKO'd out of nowhere. Gave up after 3 hours, it's a waste of time with so many other and better games these days, even in the genre.

Very few horror games have entertained me let alone actually scared me like Visage. With such a small developer team, this game delivers in a huge way.

This game's atmosphere is able to look and feel like a bad fever dream. Doesn't rely on jumpscares much, and I love it. Graphics are extremely realistic and well made.

One of the best recent horror games on the market.

Although quirky, Visage is a thrill to play as the random events can change your experience with the game each playthrough, but playing it more than once will remove most of the thrill by knowing the jump scares and harder puzzles. I hope SadSquare studio continues to add to this title, as it can benefit from it, and it deserves to be played by the horror genre fans. I managed to solve all puzzles and earn all 27 achievements for 1,000 gamerscore in Visage in roughly 12-15 hours.

A terrifying and unnerving experience to play, Visage pays tribute to those that came before it spectacularly. A few minor issues won’t spoil the fun, but you won’t help but notice them as you uncover the truth. You have been warned.

Visage is a survival horror that tries in every way to shake off that walking simulator aura that is so easy to put on it. On the one hand it succeeds in its intent, thanks especially to the proposed puzzles and the remarkable longevity. However, much of the experience is still tied to a limited script and the freedom of movement within the house is only apparent. The obsessive bactracking and the very slow pace of the action end up limiting the ambitions of the game, which remains - in any case - a raw and terrifying experience. Visage represents a considerable step forward compared to the usual horror rides proposed by the competition, but not enough to approach the classics it is inspired by.
