    Verlet Swing's presentation fits the gameplay perfectly and in my opinion both the visuals and sound design made me enjoy the game more. Verlet Swing is a game that features a simplistic gameplay concept but it also feels unique as well, because it differs from other games on the market. Verlet Swing is a game that features a simplistic gameplay concept but it also feels unique as well, because it differs from other games on the market. This is Verlet Swing’s strongest asset and while it isn’t perfect, it still has a lot going for it which in turn makes the game pretty enjoyable with 100 levels to conquer. Verlet Swing is about swinging from grappling points from start to the end of each of the 100 areas. This sounds simple, however it does get challenging quite quickly so don't expect it to be an easy game to master as you're graded on your overall performance in completion of each level. Verlet Swing does a nice job of easing you in gently and this does lower the frustration level considerably even if progressing does feel like a chore from time to time due to a given level's difficulty curve. Despite the little problems of the way you progress it still won't stop you from coming back for more time and time again because if you play like I do you will feel compelled to show the game who's boss and will complete the level, and continue on after doing so. It's nice that the game offers a great amount of levels and the variety each level provides. The presentation side of the game also keeps you attentive due to the unique visual and sound design. When it comes to problems Verlet Swing gets more right than it gets wrong. If you’re looking for something different then I’m sure Verlet Swing will satisfy that urge. While Verlet Swing won't be a game for everyone, it does offer some some simple fun and challenge. Digerati is a huge supporter of the Xbox One family of consoles and this is another solid release from their large catalog.… Expand

    This game is brilliant fun as long as you don’t expect it to be more than what you see. It is a pick-up-and-play swinging action puzzler, with most levels taking less than 20 seconds to complete, but you will likely play many levels 20 times or more if for no other reason than to get a faster time.     Verlet Swing’s appeal is going to be based on how much patience you have, if you really enjoy challenging yourself or crave climbing leaderboards. You’re going to need to persevere through a lot of frustration if you want to even get close to completing all 100 levels, but my hats off to you if you’re able to do so; at least the soundtrack is upbeat and doesn’t wear out its welcome. Sure it’s got some really out there visuals and is the definition of abstract, but patience is a virtue, and absolutely required to get through Verlet Swing.

    Verlet Swing is reasonably priced considering there are a fair few hours of gameplay to be had here. It has a distinct style and provides enjoyable, easy to play, hard to master thrills. Patience is definitely a virtue with this game, but you could do much worse, so make sure you swing by and check it out sometime.

    Technically speaking, the game handles well and performs well, but due to some baffling design choices and an inconsistent difficulty curve, Verlet Swing is a lot more frustrating and a lot more restricting than it needed to be. That being said, if you’ve the patience and perseverance to overlook said drawbacks, you’ll find quite a bit of fun to be had here. Just, be sure to check the warranty on your controller first.
