    Ok guys. What to say about a game that combines the best elements from previous indie titles like Braid, Limbo, Journey, Trine, Little Big Planet into a one very specific and charming video game? And if I say that none of this titles had everything done right, but Yarny, oh man... I never thought that a platform game could be that touching! The puzzles are somehow easy, there are fewOk guys. The puzzles are somehow easy, there are few challeging puzzles at times, and if you are in for a greater experience try all collectables and the game will please any hardcore gamer, like me, saying so it could last from 8 to 10 hours of gameplay which is good. I can't complain about lenght. Now, talking about its mechanics and gameplay, Gosh! How they are precise! The physics are so incredible, all the possibilities that you can create with yarny and its lassos, I only wished these possibilities could be used more. It is like the whole game scenario was a big box, but Yarny could always jump out of it due to its insane possibilities. That is the point I actually didn't gave it a 10 score. I wonder if this studio, on a spiritual sequence to this masterpiece, with the proper resources, if given the chance could just develop the techniques and create a more vast and bigger world inside a platform game. You feel like you own Yarny, you can do almos anything with him, when I figured out that I could make bridges with the yarns and move it with his hands from one side to another, first time to pic up a secret, I realized how intuitive the game was. Take the simplicity of the controls and freedom itself and the game booms your head. For an old gamer (since Atari) like me, I felt like, Ok... Now I can jump here, there and there, and do this and that! Sometimes the scenario gave me the opportunities to explore every inch, sometimes not! And that is my advice to all these brilliant people! If you ever make another game, not a sequel, it just wouldn't fit, or perhaps it would I don't know. Please, explore these incredible mechanics, with better level design, and then you figure it out that one day another Rockstar, Valve, Bioware, Ubisoft will be born!… Expand

    Unravel is a cute little puzzle game. It's not very long, but you can tell a lot of love and passion went into it from the developers. It looks absolutely gorgeous and Yarny is a delightful little guy. It tells a very minimal story with very little narrative, but you get a sense of longing of days gone by through what bits you get. Pictures of a youth spent with those close to you, ofUnravel is a cute little puzzle game. It's not very long, but you can tell a lot of love and passion went into it from the developers. It looks absolutely gorgeous and Yarny is a delightful little guy. It tells a very minimal story with very little narrative, but you get a sense of longing of days gone by through what bits you get. Pictures of a youth spent with those close to you, of those you've loved who are long since passed bring a layer of emotion, one person's story told through the game's adventures.

    The puzzles can be tricky, but I would by no means call any of them hard. Some of the platforming elements were finicky at points, but I never noticed anything I'd consider broken or unreliable.

    All in all, I'd say this is a finely crafted game that tells the story that the creators wanted to tell, but it's length and relatively simple gameplay may leave something to be desired. That said, this game is definitely worth a once over to experience something personal that they wanted to share with the world.    … Expand

    Unravel is an excellent example the Indie companies can make blockbuster games. Ori and Limbo were other examples of Indie Blockbusters, but, this Unravel, is perfect. We can resume this game in two adjectives: Emotional and creative! Great game!

    It's not much of a game, but it is beautiful. There was a lot of effort put into making this game look as realistic as possible with the current tech we have. It's enjoyable with a nice (a little bit awkward) story that ultimately brings out the feels in the end. It won't take you very long to complete, but it also doesn't cost much. Worth picking up if you like games that give you thingsIt's not much of a game, but it is beautiful.     I'm not a big fan of indie games, but there are few exceptions to that rule - and Unravel is one of them.

    Amazing graphic, gameplay, atmosphere (didn't really like to music that much), this is an amazing little gem.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game has an incredibly beautiful art design and challenging puzzles. The main character Yarni moves through a series of levels with different environments, in which he step by step recovers memories of the life of a person. Nice detail: after finishing a level, real-life photos are unlocked that served as the basis for the design of the levels. Some puzzles are really challenging, but always solvable with logical thinking.
    Overall a very nice, and at the same time challenging game, more than worth its 20 Euros!    … Expand

    One of the best adventure games I've ever played. The levels are beautifully designed and the puzzles are sometimes surprisingly difficult. Its melancholic atmosphere makes you think about the world.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Beautiful looking game...so beautiful! I loved the puzzles and platforming. It kept me wanting to play. It's not a long game but it has replayability with the secret items you can search for in each level. The book you complete as you pass levels is heart warming. You can tell the game's developers put a lot of love into making Unravel. I wish they would have done more of the creative puzzles like with the magnet and like the one time you had to undo your knot in order to have enough yarn to reach a checkpoint. I rarely ran into a situation where I worried about wasting my yarn. But aside from that, this is a flawless game. Oh and the music captures each levels mood perfectly. If you haven't given this game a chance you have to...and play it with someone you love deeply to get a bit more out of this game. I had my daughter and son near me through out the play through and it made completing the game a bit sweeter for me.… Expand

    This game felt deep and down to Earth the entire time, while having the sense of a great underdog story. Unravel has amazing visuals, and quite a satisfying mystery.     The best puzzle game I have ever played. It is a true masterpiece. Yarny is one of the best characters in any game ever and he deserves a lot of love. The game itself is such a good "experience" game and will flood you with memories of your loving childhood. A must own for an puzzle fan!

В игре никто не произнесёт ни слова, но фотографии, кстати очень классные, и образы прошлого скажут о многом. Сюжет и подаче в игре это просто что-то невероятное, очень сильно и душевно. Ярни на каждом уровне преодолевает препятствия за счёт собственной физиологии, а именно за счёт той самой пряжи, которой он может цепляться за всевозможные уступы, делать мостики, взаимодействовать с предметами, и вся эта самая пряжа постепенно разматывается, поэтому мы должны быть весьма аккуратны и расчетливы в ее использовании дабы дотянуть до ближайшего чекпоинта с новым мотком жизни для продолжения путешествия Ярни. Анимация в игре отличная, картинка выше всяких похвал. Бродить по лесам, полям, морскому побережью летним днём и в морозную стужу всё это нас ждёт в Unravel. В совокупности имеем один из лучших, если не лучший платформер на тему семейных ценностей, социальных проблем, любви к собственной природе и простых жизненных радостей и немножечко про несчастья.     Unravel is not a difficult game, but it is challenging
    I never had to look up a solution to a puzzle, but it did stump me numerous times, making me feel like a genius when I finally figure out the simple solution that’s been staring me in the face for 5 minutes
    The puzzle aspect of this game is great, but I feel like there is just a little too much emphasis on it
    The levels in Unravel are gorgeous and so full of life, really putting you into the perspective of this character..
    You never feel like you’re in a generic themed level…
    Each level feels like this is a place from someone’s memory
    And they are, as you complete each level, a scrap book if filled in to give more insight into the story going on..
    A story just as beautiful as the levels
    You could stop almost anywhere during the game and be amazed at what’s going on in the breathing world around you
    Only problem is you have to actively do this, Unravel is almost constantly testing your brain,
    There are a few action sequences sprinkled in, but far less than there should be..
    It would be nice if there were more slow down moments in the game…
    And by slow down I mean for your brain, not the gameplay
    A little more emphasis on some linear platforming here and there rather than just puzzle platforming stacked on top of each other
    While I say this though, I never felt overwhelmed while playing unravel which is common for me when I play this type of game
    I actually couldn’t put the controller down..which is even more of a surprise considering each level took me anywhere from 20 to 50 minutes to play through organically…
    I just feel like so much work, care and love went into crafting these levels, and there’s never an opportunity to truly enjoy them…. To stop and soak them in...
    All of your focus and brain power is going right into the task at hand that the backdrop can sometimes become a blur…
    Unravel is fun, beautiful, it made me cry... in a good way…

Send them to the creator and maybe the creator will give us an Unravel 2 with a twist. Other than that...this is my GAME OF THE YEAR FOR 2016! Right from the beginning we are made to understand who and what Yarny is. But there is no actual story that ever develops or resolves. Yarny and his adventure mean the same at the end as they did at the begining.
    I found the music repetitive. At first it was hauntingly beautiful but just kept looping and maintaining the same pace.
    I appreciated that the puzzles were not to challenging but sometimes at the end of a level I would think "That's it?" The platformer mechanics did not pose too great a challenge either. If the game were longer, this wouldn't be a big of an issue. Unfortunately the only reason to replay is to try to hunt down achievements.
    Nice game. Pretty game. Definitely NOT GotY material. I recommend the game at a price point of $10 or less.

    Es un bonito juego de puzzles, aunque un poco corto. Recomendable! Estaría mejor con modo cooperativo para dos personas como hay en el 2.

    Beautiful but need less blur and better resolution.
    Fun puzzle part but often can be boring.
    Bad checkpoint position.
    Not so popular game, only 7% of players have finished the game, and I am one of them.

    It's a fun and short little game. Nothing spectacular and it reuses a lot of the same puzzle mechanics many many times. By the end you will already know how to solve every single puzzle that comes your way. The story and it's delivery is a nice touch.
    I'd definitely recommend it if you like platformers but there are plenty of better ones out there.

    Muy buen juego,las mecanicas no son las mas adictivas pero la historia es buena,es lo mejor del juego realmente,acabarlo y leerte la historia del tiron y disfrutar la fotografia y la musica.

    Buen plataformas/puzle aunque corto y bastante repetitivo. Aún así, entretenido y bonito. Muy recomendable para los fans del género.

It's very sad when such talents come and go. The only thing that was a little annoying in the game itself was the difficulty jumping back and forth. The first two levels were great for learning and immersion, but the third level, in the swamp, is unrealistically difficult! And then ... again, the levels are easy, and in the end - very difficult, the battle with the blizzard and hide and seek from crazy crows was especially filled. But she had fun, in the end.

    I love this game very much and recommend it to everyone to get unusually kind and positive emotions. Glory to Ukraine!    … Expand

    Unravel is an ode to cherished memories, but it doesn't create any of its own. It is gorgeous to look at and listen to, but its repetitive, sometimes laborious and frustrating, puzzles undermine the game's relaxed tone without offering much in the way of a challenge.
