May 2, 2018All in all this is one of the most stunning games I’ve played and it certainly is a massive change from getting killed by a fluke grenade on CoD. I would highly recommend playing it to anyone but would certainly advise you to take your time when doing so. There is a lot of Red Creek Valley to explore and I have to admit it all looks fantastic.

Jan 16, 2022It is an enjoyable, original game with tons of atmosphere and nice music too.
At times, some a subtle hint (maybe just one voice-over sentence/'thought') could have helped, as it is not always clear if you are done with a puzzle/specific part of the game, which made me feel quite lost, and did not feel like discovery but like frustration. -
Dec 18, 2020It's a great game, it's really something different than you could find on the video game market...give it a try ! Yes, it's not perfect, the game is way to short but it created its own atmosphere.

Official Xbox Magazine UKFeb 26, 2018A flawed but still enthralling narrative adventure that's worth experiencing. [March 2018, p.82]

Feb 6, 2018The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a solid experience that I really enjoyed taking. It could have benefitted from a little more structure and fleshing out the characters a bit more. Still, it is great to finally have the game come to Xbox, and I am happy to have experienced it.

Jan 30, 2018The Vanishing of Ethan Carter’s too much focus on story telling might prevent it from offering a true adventure experience, but nevertheless the story, atmosphere and world design is so solid that you’ll just love it.
