    The Turing Test is an overall solid experience, it is a first person puzzle game which cannot escape being compared to Portal, it is a similar feel and aesthetic.

    The story takes place on one of Jupiters Moons, Europa, you play Ava, an engineer guided by an AI who comes out of Cryo-Sleep to go in search of the missing crew of the Europa Discovery Mission who they have lost contact with    The Turing Test is an overall solid experience, it is a first person puzzle game which cannot escape being compared to Portal, it is a similar feel and aesthetic.

    The story takes place on one of Jupiters Moons, Europa, you play Ava, an engineer guided by an AI who comes out of Cryo-Sleep to go in search of the missing crew of the Europa Discovery Mission who they have lost contact with on the surface.

    Upon entering the Europa Science Base you find the entire complex has been convertedinto a "Turing Test". For those unfamiliar with a "Turing Test" it is:

    "The Turing test is a test, developed by Alan Turing in 1950, of a machine's ability to exhibit intelligent behaviour equivalent to, or indistinguishable from, that of a human."

    This is where the game really shines, the story is pretty fantastic and I think the most accurate description of the story is in a way, it's a serious take on portal, as the AI guides you, you begin to unravel what is taking place which I will not spoil.

    The reason it loses a few points and my only real complaint is that the difficulty is wildly inconsistent, even towards the end of the game, I'd find myself breezing through 5 or 6 rooms without even a moments pause because honestly, they were more simple than some of the initial rooms, only to be absolutely stumped for a good 30, 40 minutes and then back to breezing through for another few rooms and I don't claim to be some super gamer, only two levels were so incredibly difficult or not obvious enough that I had to youtube the solution which I am deeply ashamed of, so again, it suffers from pacing and difficulty curve issues.

    Ultimately though, despite this, this game is extremely engaging and I thoroughly recommend it, it's not overly long and the price is very fair for the product.    … Expand

    The game was interesting, and provided a few challenging puzzles to work through. The narration was somewhat tedious at times, and the story line was absurdly predictable. The game endings were underwhelming. Basically the main focus of the game is on the puzzles going room to room. I found this game better/stronger than the developer's previous effort (Pneuma: Breath of Life).

    Great game, great puzzles and great argumentacion, if you like puzzle games, this is your game with a great history of behind based on Alan Turing and his theories and experiments, really 10/10 this game

    Loads of fun puzzle game, it is a short play and I'm not sure how much it cost. I got it free with Gold on the Xbox store. I played through it in one day, I thought it was a great idea for a game and have been wanting to find another like it. Check it out if you like puzzle games.

O jogo começa com puzzles bem fáceis e de rápido aprendizado e vão progredindo e revezando entre alguns bens fáceis e outros que esquentam a cuca e ao decorrer do jogo você vai descobrindo coisas interessantes sobre a IA TOM e o destino dos personagens desaparecidos e, frequentemente, você se defronta com informações nova e fica sem saber em quem mais pode confiar. o Jogo bebe bastante da fonte do jogo Portal e do filme 2001 Uma Odisseia no Espaço, e traz especulações filosóficas sobre o que é melhor para a humanidade, se a consciência emotiva humana ou a racionalidade fria das máquinas, deixando pro final uma decisão que pode salvar ou condenar toda a humanidade. 9/10… Expand

    Game was a dumbed-down Portal....I hope they paid them royalties the puzzles were so similar. If you like less-challenging puzzles and a mildly entertaining narrative, give this a try.

Contrairement à Portal donc, on s'ennuie vite, c'est dénué d'humour et c'est loin d'être aussi créatif et récréatif que le jeu de Valve.

    Bien que pas trop vilain, Le Turing machin saccade beaucoup (on se demande bien pourquoi) et charge pendant un temps très long ses niveaux plein de portes... En outre, sa musique d'ascenseur file la migraine et le jeu est tout en anglais (vite, un Aspro). On l'aura compris, c'était l'étron indé du jour.    … Expand

    Well, I have a mixed feelings about the game. On the one hand puzzles and some in-game mechanics are very interesting and enjoyable, but on the other the story is very boring and predictable. I also have to write something about the technical side of the game. First of all, these loading screens - they are way too long.     Great game ...if you like games like Portal , it's the next big thing... Great puzzles ... Not hard to complete but so satisfying... Highly recommend it ...oh and if you are a achievement hunter : get ready for some easy gamerscore points.

At that point it was like they ran out of ideas so they threw in some platforming stuff for no reason other than to extend the game. Given the limited controls, platforming just doesn't work well.

You'll have to use logic and spacial awareness to properly combine the different kinds of energy with the appropriate machinery at the appropriate times to advance. While the difficulty curve seems to spike up and down without explanation, they puzzles are generally satisfying.

    The story is a bit lightweight, and most of it is just told through dialogue between player-character Ava and AI overlord TOM. Throughout the course of the game the two debate the nature of consciousness and free will, taking the stances one would expect a human and a computer to take. TOM's performance is suitably distant, but Ava sounds like she's reading off a card. It also seems silly that TOM has to spend the beginning of the game explaining basic computer science and space travel to Ava, who is immediately established as an astronaut/engineer.

    But those are minor quibbles. It's a good game with a memorable ending, which was much better than I expected from a Portal clone.    … Expand

    I thoroughly enjoyed the game and found each puzzle room well designed. The rooms were very tedious and required a lot of patience while getting around them. The story was great and was easy enough to understand what was going on throughout the game between Ava, AI Tom and the ground crew. I thought the visuals were outstanding and the game has one of the most underwhelming endings i haveI thoroughly enjoyed the game and found each puzzle room well designed.     Similar a Portal, es imposible hablar de este juego sin hablar de sus puzzles, lo cuales son variados. Por un lado hay algunos difíciles, pero la mayoría son francamente simples. Acá Portal, estaba mucho mas equilibrado, tenia la dificultad mas progresiva y no aburría.     I beat Turing Test and all of its optional challenges. It is like a poor mans Portal, which is in no way a bad thing.

    Pros:
    - All the puzzles were well done there were only a couple where it was too obtuse for me to solve
    - The story wasn't half bad - definitely not funny like Portal though
    - I found the length of the campaign perfect

    Cons:
    - A little more variety would have been nice

    Puzzle games are usually not my thing. But I sat through this one drawn by the unique setting and story. Decent puzzles for me since my ability with these kind of games is usually pretty bad. A fun few hours.

At first glance it seemed very Portal-esque, and while there are undeniable similarities, it's a fun, challenging puzzle game, which I had a lot of fun with. My complaints lie with the story.     Cara, definitivamente um dos piores jogos que já joguei no XBOX ONE e certamente o pior em que eu fiz 100%, a única coisa realmente atraente nesse game são seus gráficos, que por si só são de tirar o fôlego, agora, de resto ? Meu deus, que jogo chato, tem partes extremamente complicadas o tempo todo, você necessita de um guia praticamente a jogatina inteira, e isso é algo massacrante, alémCara, definitivamente um dos piores jogos que já joguei no XBOX ONE e certamente o pior em que eu fiz 100%, a única coisa realmente atraente nesse game são seus gráficos, que por si só são de tirar o fôlego, agora, de resto ? I liked the game better than Tacoma and I was much more involved in the process around the Turing Test (artificial intelligence is capable of human thinking). Classic sci-fi elements are reeled off, but they are always interesting for me and appear again and again in a wide variety of media (series, films, games). Individual freedom, human consciousness, "machine consciousness", to what extent can machines act like humans etc. many of the classic and philosophical questions are raised here. In the end, you can also make a decision.

    The puzzles in the game were sometimes difficult and you often needed something, but in the end you get through quite well. Everything is simply explained and kept simple in its basic structure (different colors, etc.) and then packaged in a more complex way in the individual chapters. Basically, however, common puzzle techniques are recycled here, so you could have thought a little more.

    The dialogic interaction of T.O.M. and Ava I followed with great interest. Unfortunately, some dialogues have been cut off, especially when following with the camera.

    Overall really well done 8/10 energy balls for this type of game.    … Expand

    Picked up this game on XBOx Game Pass out of curiosity. It's an interesting environmental puzzler, with many similarities to Portal (a game I really loved). The plot progresses well enough as you converse with the ever-present and slightly untrustworthy AI, but it doesn't quite have the magic and sparkle of GLADoS, so I found myself rather bored of the interactions after a while.     Originally I thought it is just puzzle-style game. But the more I played the more I was interested into story. It is not super-complex story but still it is written very nicely and makes you constantly think about both sides of "conflict". Valve к сожалению не создал повальную моду на жанр пространственных головоломок от первого лица, но определил некий очень высокий стандарт в рамках этой любопытной стилистики. За что им конечно огромное спасибо. Вот и The Turing Test являет собой весьма качественный клонPortal и особенно Portal 2 были и остаются шедеврами на все времена, не имеющими аналогов по мысли и уровню реализации. Футуристические апартаменты, учинение препятствий и диалоги ИИ с главным протагонистом игры Авой Тьюринг в конце концов та же энергетическая пушка на вооружении - это, кажется мы всё уже где-то видели;) Конечно в The Turing Test есть и что-то своё: помимо нашего героя мы также можем управлять видеокамерами и роботами, способствующими в решении головоломок на пути исполнения главной миссии локации - открыть дверь и пройти в очередное помещение с новыми приятными мучениями для мозгов; пушка наша она тоже как бы не совсем порталовская и по сути выполняет функцию перемещения энергетических шаров в необходимые силовые блоки для открывания нужных дверей, запуска магнитов и прочих механизмов. Сюжет в the Turing Test не сказать, чтобы сильно интересный. История по сути включает в себя некую проблему, нарисовавшуюся на станции на далеком спутнике Юпитера и мы с вами должны будем докопаться до истины, что же случилось и куда пропала вся команда. Происходит всё это само собой по мере прохождения комнат-головоломок в диалогах с Томом - компьютеризированным искусственным интеллектом станции. Если честно, то не очень это показалось увлекательным в отличие от самого главного - процесса решения задачек. Приятная музыка, слегка клонящая в сон, приглушенный свет, никакого цейтнота ходи-броди себе потихоньку обдумывай план действий - это всё для тех кто устал отстреливаться/отмахиваться от бесчисленных орд врагов, уцепившись за край обрушающейся пропасти. The Turing Test конечно не эксцентрический и гениальный Portal, но это все же прекрасный квест не заумный и не очень сложный, способный затянуть в свои комфортные уютные сети.… Expand

    Good game, but not polished. For example at level G66 i basically skipped the entire puzzle. because developers didnt think that i can go one way instead of the other. Good i noticed because i could reload and actually get the challenge. But in many other places i also got the feeling, that i did the level the wrong way. This game is very similar to Portal 2 (but with different mechanics in place of the portal gun), but that game does this much better, and you can never get through the puzzle the wrong way (without actively trying to glith trough the wall somehow or something) The story overall is pretty good, but its inconsistent a bit - you can listen to (optional) voice messages on tablets you find trought the game that reveals very important information to the story, but the character will talk like she didnt hear any of that, untill way way later till the same information is in your face. I'll give a 7/10 for this game - i had fun, but i constantly had a feeling that "this is unpolished" "that other thing was weird" etc. If you decide to try this game, also try Portal 2 later. If you already played Portal 2 and liked it, give this game a shot because it still is pretty good.

    At the end you can choose to shoot one or both or none of the 2 characters with a gun - i shot one, but their dialogue still proceeded with was weird (dead person talking like nothing happened). also it doesnt seem to matter who do you kill because there is not any big change except for the 2 sentences (tho you can skip some dialogue if you kill them too quickly - just dont shoot if you want the most dialogue to listen to.)    … Expand

    Buen juego para pensar un ratito, similar al talos of principe, con unas vueltas de tuerca. Recomiendo 100%.

    Building on what it achieved with Pneuma: Breath Of Life, The Turing Test is a far more robust, captivating and fulfilling experience. It’s not breaking ground, but it explores some fun ideas and challenges you to follow them. As a sign of Bulkhead’s growing confidence and ambition, it’s a fantastic step.

    A very good first person puzzle game, with solid - even if not too original - puzzle design and a surprising story. Definitely advised to lovers of Portal-like games.
