    The Padre releasing on the Xbox One as a pleasant surprise for old-school fans of problem solving and adventure horror with an a-la pixel art style presentation. The game references many games of the 90's to include gameplay much like Alone in the dark while trying to grab the horror side of a Resident Evil vibe with some unique art style that works with the overall presentation of the game. The controls take a bit to get use to in regards to inventory management specifically, and not always as tight and responsive as you would hope as there are a few technical issues here and there with entering doors or interacting with objects however overall the game is most worthy of a play through for someone like me, whom enjoys problem solving with a horror theme attached to it. While it may to be game of the year and the graphics aren't designed to blow you away. The overall charm and puzzles in the game are satisfying. So if you enjoy homage to 90's and a nice eerie soundtrack to back it up with a unique presentation, The Padre is worth the price of admission. If you can look past it's imperfections there's a solid game here waiting for you to enjoy. After all the price of admission for this retro horror based problem solver isn't too steep and in the end I found the puzzle solving creative and the game enjoyable and nostalgic in a good way and not overly cumbersome by the retro style it was designed in.… Expand

    There are elements that are great, but there are also moments that massively overstay their welcome. However, if you want to take a chance and don those priestly robes, then you too can become The Padre.
