It’s literally everything like myself love about really going fishing without the bug bites. There’s a total of 35 species in the game as you fish your career across the globe. The game mechanics are advanced and requires a general sense of knowledge regarding where and how to fish, what items you use to fish and the overall location. The variety of locations and the fish you can fish for are incredibly diverse and expansive. It is graphically not as sophisticated as the game mechanics so that was a small letdown but the detail and content present allow for me to easily look past this small complaint. The intricacies for fishing make it simply a blast in Dovetail Games style. Patience is a virtue regarding this game you wont pick it up right away but once you do you will fall for the game In a major way. The time of day, equipment, locale and luck all come into play while hunting for the boss fish from each opportunity. I enjoyed it and any fan of actual fishing could totally love this game, as a fisherman of the past I truly appreciate the detail Dovetail brings to the genre with every release. If the graphics could have met (not that they are terrible in any way) just ever so seated me from a coveted top scoring game. Fishing game fans like myself going all the way back to the NES days will find pure bliss here. If you aren’t into the sport simulation games there’s nothing her to change your mind but if you even slightly enjoy the genre, this is a must have for your Xbox One library. Expand

The Catch: Carp & Coarse is the new fishing champion. The visuals are great, the fighting mechanic is intuitive and the variety of venues ensures that you’ll need to spend time learning a number of different fishing methods. Simply put, this is as good as fishing gets on the Xbox.
