Still funny and backed by excellent characters who are given even more room to grow in our hearts, Episode 3 moves the plot forward in substantial ways. There's a lot going on in this episode. There's a lot going on in this episode. We get introduced to a whole cast of new faces and see some surprising developments. The set-pieces, humor, and villains play out in a way reminiscent of classic action-adventure movies such as Indiana Jones. The way it mixes humor, emotion, and excitement rivals that of even the Uncharted series.

The real strength of the adventure still lies in it's ability to make us care about the characters involved. I love the moments that show the characters bonding and making these unlikely allies feel more and more like a family. It's sweet, touching, and even a little romantic. As a whole this might be one of the best episodes Telltale has ever made across any of their series, and Tales from the Borderlands continues it's winning streak. The only disappointment comes from the return of some technical issues that have plagued Telltale games for years now, but were surprisingly absent from the previous two episodes. Ultimately though, their presence did little to hinder my enjoyment of "Catch A Ride."

Tales From The Borderlands: Episode Three- Catch A Ride left me impressed. The whole episode kept me intrigued, and the ending deserves a lot of praise. This has been an excellent episodic series thus far.

I am a huge Borderlands fan and this was my first ever telltale game played. While I am a fan of borderlands I found the way this game plays to be boring. The humor is great but I often found myself falling asleep while playing. This episode was average compared to the other 4.

A disappointing drop in quality. [Sept 2015, p.111]

It's disappointing drop in quality for a series that we'd held in high esteem, but 'Catch a Ride' does enough to make sure that the next episode should be considerably more interesting.

This review is based on the Xbox One version of the game, which inexplicably ran very poorly in action-heavy scenes. Considering that this is a game that works on mobile devices, the frequent stuttering and pausing was unwelcome, but never quite enough to really ruin the experience.
