Tales from the Borderlands falls back on the more traditional Telltale style in this second episode. While a little less impressive than the first, Atlas Mugged still shows off an impressive level of quality that still hints at this potentially being Telltale's best series.

The story in this episode feels a little more like filler. The events are smaller and the really meaningful stuff
Tales from the Borderlands falls back on the more traditional Telltale style in this second episode. While a little less impressive than the first, Atlas Mugged still shows off an impressive level of quality that still hints at this potentially being Telltale's best series.

The story in this episode feels a little more like filler. The events are smaller and the really meaningful stuff doesn't happen until the end. I still found myself hooked in what was happening though, because of the strong characters and funny moments. There are also more significant choices to be made this time around. The kind that are going to add to the replay value of the overall game. One thing that's begun to worry me with this episode. it's that of the two player characters, I only like one. I enjoy Rhys, but not so much Fiona. It's to the point already where I'm a little disappointed when I'm forced to play as her.

On the gameplay side of things we see the return of the expected Telltale "puzzles" where you wander around, interact with stuff in the environment, and occasionally move something. Simple, but fun. The action sequences are just as exciting as in the last episode.

It's not quite as good as episode 1, but Tales from the Borderlands is still going strong. That more cinematic style is still there and the soundtrack is impressive. The opening credits scene was great. Telltale still manages to impress with their sense of humor. There are a few issues with the pacing of the story and I still don't care too much for one of the protagonists, but overall I still found myself enjoying the game in Atlas Mugged and anxiously awaiting to play more.

Let me preface this with I LOVED episode one....more than any telltale game so far. It was BRILLIANT and the wait for episode 2 was excrutiating.....and here it is. Sat down ovdr the weekend and played through it. I felt it was short....could be because I liked it...but from previews and dev talk I expected it to be considerable longer than the most telltale episodes....it wasn't.

Humor and story were still there along with the amazing artwork....but it just did not hook me like the last episode. It was great....and not a knock on the episode in term of quality at all. It is top notch. It just was missing something....even the cliffhanger at the end felt incomplete for a cliffhanger. I didn't feel the intrigue or drama to make me want more....I just felt like I was watching a movie and the power went out in the middle of a scene. Still...if you like Telltale this Borderlands series the best work they have done IMO.

Tales From The Borderlands Episode 2 continues the story of an amazing game made by Telltale, maybe it is to short but it is a great continue to the story, the choices will impact more on the gameplay. Give it a try no matter what.

I am a huge Borderlands fan and this was my first ever telltale game played. While I am a fan of borderlands I found the way this game plays to be boring. The humor is great but I often found myself falling asleep while playing. This episode was average compared to the other 4.

This is a minor episode, as second episodes in episodic game series often tend to be, but there’s nothing here that hints that the rest of the season won’t be strong.

With Atlas Mugged, Telltale Games has continued its colourful and incredibly memorable Tales from the Borderlands series with another impressive interactive outing.
