    submerged is a very tranquil game, with one simple premise: explore. The climbing mechanics are very simple and work extremely well, the music is also done very well. The problem is this: the game gets boring after about fifteen minutes, the graphics are subpar for either the PS4 or Xbox one, and most of the time you are wandering around on a boat, looking through a scope and hoping thatsubmerged is a very tranquil game, with one simple premise: explore. The climbing mechanics are very simple and work extremely well, the music is also done very well. The problem is this: the game gets boring after about fifteen minutes, the graphics are subpar for either the PS4 or Xbox one, and most of the time you are wandering around on a boat, looking through a scope and hoping that you'll locate something of interest (which you never really do) and once you locate anything it will be at the top of a tall building. On occasion while floating along, you'll find upgrades for your boat that never really add anything. Overall the game works well, it tells a story of survival and the warns of the after effects of global warning but it really is boring and there is NO action-ever.… Expand

    Beautiful imagery if a bit slow gameplay. Some control issues with the boats made getting around difficult. Might appeal to people looking for a more zen experience.

    Bello en lo artístico pero repetitivo,algunas postales son increíbles lastima de las animaciones de la protagonista.

    L'indé du jour est... ou plutôt n'est pas une grosse merde dont le genre est si coutumier, ce qui nous rassérène sensiblement. Il s'agit d'un petit "water world" comme son nom l'indique mais vu sous un angle pacifique et poétique. Non, Dennis Hooper n'est pas à vos trousses, lui et sa meute de chiens enragés à la Mad Max...

    Ce qui ne signifie pas qu'on ne croise pas quelques individus éventuellement mais c'est une surprise... A cet égard, bien que le jeu soit dénué de tout dialogue ou presque, il nous conte malgré tout une petite histoire à sa manière alors que la petiote très opiniâtre s'en va explorer ce "no man's land" avec sa barque afin de guérir le frérot. Il faudra donc repérer et récupérer des caisses et bien sûr escalader bien des bâtiments.

    L'escalade est très simple et sans souci, elle fait penser à un Unchartiep d'ailleurs. Ce monde à moitié englouti sous les eaux est agréable à l'oeil et dépaysant ; il tourne sous l'Unreal 4, le moteur 3D d'Epic distribué dans tous les paquets de corn-flakes... Il faut dire que contrairement au 3 (ou même aux précédents), cette mouture n°4 est à peine plus jolie et qu'elle tourne comme une patate. Il s'agit d'un moteur exigeant (ceci expliquant cela sans doute) peu adapté aux consoles et implique donc une forte quantité d'aliasing. Et de temps de chargement.

    Les développeurs indés qui... développent là-dessus (ou là-dessous) sont donc à la peine. Submerged en est l'un des exemples flagrants avec son aliasing omniprésent et ses ralentissements fréquents.

    Mais revenons à nos moutons avec ce Submerged globalement relaxant et sympathique. La durée de vie est courte bien entendu mais pas tant que cela si l'on se décide à récupérer tous les secrets et les améliorations de la barque. La météo est dynamique avec en prime un joli cycle jour-nuit et l'atmosphère est indéniablement plaisante.

    Le problème finalement, c'est qu'il manque quelque chose pour nous impliquer vraiment, car en l'état le jeu reste -bien que plaisant- trop plat pour réellement convaincre. En outre, la musique gnangnan avec ce petit piano neuneu qui fait "gnagna" en boucle nous les casse sensiblement.

    Bref, nous (le nous royal) ne sommes pas submergé par l'enthousiasme mais loin d'être déçu non plus : un petit indé qui passe bien le temps.    … Expand

    I snagged this on sale a couple of weeks ago, and I wouldn't have guessed this little $3 gem would become one of my favorite games on the Xbox One. It's a throwback to a simpler time in video gaming, when games didn't try to be all things to all people. Submerged is all about exploring the absolutely stunning submerged city where the game's story takes place. As the developer says, there'sI snagged this on sale a couple of weeks ago, and I wouldn't have guessed this little $3 gem would become one of my favorite games on the Xbox One. It's a throwback to a simpler time in video gaming, when games didn't try to be all things to all people. Submerged is all about exploring the absolutely stunning submerged city where the game's story takes place. As the developer says, there's no combat. No fighting, no shooting. It's challenging but fair. Relaxing yet compelling. The game's story and events are related via an incredibly immersive combination of universal-language pictograms and a sparse-yet-gorgeous piano soundtrack.

    Let yourself get pulled into its world and it won't let you go until you've found all the secrets and saved your little brother. It's an experience with greatness on par with Shadow of the Colossus, in my opinion. The only thing keeping this game from a perfect 10 is its length - I took my time and finished it in about 10 hours. It left me aching for more.

    I have to add this as well... why do people bash a game for doing something new, and then turn around and whine because there's too few fresh ideas in gaming? In particular, Hardcore Gamer completely, utterly, and hilariously missed the point.    … Expand

    Игра представляет собой размеренную адвентюру, в которой нам предстоит исследовать красивые локации затонувшего города и в принципе всё. Завязка сюжета такова: неизвестно откуда под меланхоличную музыку приплывает лодка с заплаканной девушкой лет 16-19 на вид и мальчиком 7-10 лет находящимся без сознания.     Игра представляет собой размеренную адвентюру, в которой нам предстоит исследовать красивые локации затонувшего города и в принципе всё.
    Завязка сюжета такова: неизвестно откуда под меланхоличную музыку приплывает лодка с заплаканной девушкой лет 16-19 на вид и мальчиком 7-10 лет находящимся без сознания. Нетрудно догадаться, что они друг другу приходятся братом и сестрой, а также сразу становится понятно чем нам придётся заниматься.
    Далее мы будем много взбираться по уступам, лазать по крышам и плавать на лодке от одного полузатопленного здания к другому с одной целью - найти медикаменты и предметы первой помощи ради спасения брата, попутно собирая секретные предметы и улучшения для лодки.
    Мир игры открытый, но сразу идти или плыть куда заблагорассудится не получится, так как локации будут открываться постепенно, например, чтобы попасть на один дом, надо сначала перелезть на него с другой постройки и спустить лестницу или вроде того. По мере прохождения вся территория станет доступна для свободного исследования и появится возможность отыскать пропущенные коллектиблсы.

    История хоть и трагичная, но пожалейку из геймера никто не пытается выжимать ради получения респекта и высоких оценок критиков, что определённо радует, а то пошла мода последние несколько лет маскировать дешивизну проекта и техническое несовершенство под слезливый сюжет, пройдя который только бесчувственный оценит низко, следовательно рецензии ратуют об успехе и издатель со спокойной душой выставляет заоблачный ценник. Эта игра не пытается корчить из себя неведомо что, поэтому воспринимается она такой какая есть, то есть неплохой историей с симпатичной графикой, ненавязчивой музыкой, простым, но в меру увлекательным геймплеем по низкой цене.

    Ставлю ей честную заслуженную оценку в 4,5 из 10 - достойное времяпрепровождение на вечер. Не буду заострять внимание на незначительном количестве багов и слабой технической реализации, ведь никто не обещал некого «нового слова в жанре» или «шедевра на все времена», а на нет и суда нет    … Expand

    On the whole, I think it's worth it, since Subdmerged's world is absolutely gorgeous, and it's relaxing to just drift along on the current as dolphins and sting rays and whales swim by. If you want a deeper, meatier experience, though, you'd probably be better served looking elsewhere, because this game just doesn't have that.
