    I’m actually a big fan of Steven Universe and I must admit that I have had many enjoyable moments watching the show. Thankfully the game gives you quite a few enjoyable moments as well even if it does suffer with a few problems here and there. The combat in the game surprised me a great deal and that was mainly down to the strategy elements that were present. The combat in the game surprised me a great deal and that was mainly down to the strategy elements that were present. The strategy makes the combat very enjoyable and keeps things fun. I would however have liked to have had a bit more variety when it came to the enemies because it can become boring facing the same enemies all of the time. There are quite a few puzzles littered throughout the game, and thankfully some of these puzzles are pretty good and require some thought to complete. I also like how the game has a lot of collectables for you to find and this is where you’ll find the game’s replay value. There is some exploration to be had when finding the collectables, but in my opinion I didn’t think there was enough to explore and I think the environments could have been a little bigger. My favourite thing about the game was definitely the story, and in my opinion they’ve done a great job of making the story interesting throughout and they also included the added bonus of following the show’s formula, which is great. The presentation side of the game is perfect and I couldn’t have asked for more here. Visually the game looks great and the accompanying sound design makes you actually think that you’re watching the show which in turn made things very immersive. At the end of the day this is a pretty good attempt at recreating a show into a game, and I must admit that I enjoyed my time with the game quite a bit. I will say however that the game does need a patch or two because there are far too many bugs at the moment and some of these bugs can have an impact on the fun factor now and again, but thankfully the game gets more right than it gets wrong and this ultimately means that Steven Universe: Save the Light gets a recommendation from me.… Expand

    This game perfectly captures the show Steven Universe. All the character dialogues and relationships feel right out of the show , mostly because it’s main creator worked on it. The system feels pretty nice with its blend of turn-based and real-time combat. The visuals are stunning, the menu’s are simple and effective, there is tons to do, and the skill tree like system works well. It’sThis game perfectly captures the show Steven Universe.     The Glitches.
    It seems like many people are experiencing problems on both consoles, but personally I haven’t had too many, besides getting stuck in weird corners that you can escape with some maneuvering, and some loading problems and some minor visual glitches. However, it seems like many other people are experiencing much worse problems, and I can see where some of the worse reviews are coming from.    … Expand

    Save the Light is a nice adventure game. I love how colorful are the graphics and how smooth is the animation. It's very respectful to the original TV show. The fights remember me Paper Mario because it's all about timing. I like the exploration because there are a lot of secrets to find. Highly recommended

    This has to be one of the best licensed games out there. Though bug riddled at launch, with it being in a bundle with Ok Ko Lets Play Heroes for 20 bucks, there's no real reason not to check it out. Late into the game, the combat can get a bit repetitive. It's still a fun romp with cute graphics, a decent story, and hours of fun.

    I dont really think this game rates a 0, but I'm trying in my small way to counteract the good scores given. 9? 8? Are you kidding me? This game was, at best, average and forgettable. It's a feel good game, only good for children or easy to please adults of low intelligence. It should have been a better game. Only the gameplay saves this game. Everything else is mediocre or bad.     When I first started playing Steven Universe: Save the Light I was excited, but quickly that excitement turned to boredom and frustration. Several of your teams' special moves cause the game to freeze, and about 30% of the map was unreachable as it just wouldn't load. So when I learned of an update in the works, I became optimistic. I thought, okay, we'll postpone the review and wait for them to fix the issues. Then the update came, and I couldn't lie to myself anymore, this game is just not fun. I was ready for the game to be over right around the three-hour marker, which for a game that's around ten hours long, that's not good. So if you love Steven Universe and "like, just have to consume everything," then get your rescue on. For everyone else, there are much better RPG's for you to spend your money and time.
