StarCrossed is incredibly cutesy and wholesome, and I adore all the character designs and the bright vibrant graphics and effects. The storyline is simple enough as you chose two guardians sent to retrieve the love crystal. However, the interactions between characters are what makes the story shine. It's packs a feel-good type story of friendship and overcoming the darkness that ensues.StarCrossed is incredibly cutesy and wholesome, and I adore all the character designs and the bright vibrant graphics and effects. The storyline is simple enough as you chose two guardians sent to retrieve the love crystal. However, the interactions between characters are what makes the story shine. It's packs a feel-good type story of friendship and overcoming the darkness that ensues. Gameplay: The combination of bullet hell and bouncing a star between two characters makes for interesting but hectic arcade-style gameplay. Having tried single player and co-op, it's significantly more challenging to play solo, as you're tracking two characters at once through the chaos of enemies and bullet hell, and both modes are still incredibly fun in their own way. Fair warning tho playing solo is extremely challenging as you progress. It's a little simplistic early on, but mini-bosses and swarms of enemies randomly appear to keep things from getting too repetitive and the challenge level on the forefront. The different characters can also make for some cool combos, so you can switch things up between your runs with different characters and abilities as you chose the duet that works for the mode you are playing in. Overall, Starcrossed is a cute; fun game that's great for couch co-op and those up for a twin stick solo challenge. Definitely recommend for Xbox fans of the dual stick bullet hell and couch co-op genre Starcrossed falls into. The price of admission is right on spot as well. Expand

It’s funny how a story about keeping the universe together has released as everyone has been told to isolate. But that irony almost makes this game just what is needed. As your unlikely group of heroes go out and save the universe, they also manage to spread a sense of warmth and joy that permeates across nearly all aspects of StarCrossed on Xbox One. And while I was left wishing there was more content for these characters to interact with, I felt satisfied in a way that few games in recent times have managed to achieve.
