Sky Rouge is a Flight Simulator Rouge-Lite Adventure. You battle the Skies and take out targets and try not to get shot down. Well it's a bit more than that. As you complete objectives, you gain Tech Points that can be used to purchase upgrades for your Aircraft. Each ship has a different payload limit, meaning that even once you've unlocked every weapon, you have to balance what goes on your aircraft. Your Journey is measured in Days, and once you've reached a new Biome (five or more days) you can spend your Tech Points to start a new game in that Biome, as each death normally starts you back at Day 1. The gameplay is addictive, with procedurally generated levels await your every run. With a limited amount of variations in mission types, the varying areas and enemy types keep things interesting. The entire game feels like it was plucked from the late 90's and refined a bit. The music keeps bumping and driving you onward on your various tasks. The graphics are reminiscent of StarFox on the N64 (tho much smoother, and cleaner), and there is even a paint job for your aircraft that is an obvious homage called Sky Fox. Sky Rouge is an exciting experience, and crossing a Flight Simulator with Rouge-Like game structure has created an addictive game with a lot of replayability. Flight fanatics, here's your game! If you have any interest in either a flight sim, or a rogue-like experience, for the reasonable price that it’s at, you should buy Sky Rogue immediately. Trust me, you’ll be feeling like a top gun in no time.

Playing Sky Rogue is like going back in time to an era when trying your best to get as far as you can was all that mattered.
