    I loved both the music and art that was present in the game and I think they both combine together really well making the gameplay stand out more. The boss battles in the game are absolutely stunning because you can tell straight away that each boss has had a lot of thought and effort placed into them.
    On the whole the gameplay remains fun and challenging at all times and in my opinion    I loved both the music and art that was present in the game and I think they both combine together really well making the gameplay stand out more.     On the whole the gameplay remains fun and challenging at all times and in my opinion they got the perfect balance when it came to the difficulty. There is plenty of variety present in each of the game’s stages and this does keep things fresh and interesting for longer. In terms of content the game doesn’t have a huge amount for you to get to grips with and it is a little on the short side.The bosses have tons of variety the other enemies unfortunately don’t possess the same amount of variety and that can make things become a little tedious. More of a story would’ve been nice because the setting really interests me and I think a story would’ve benefited the game quite a bit. Does Shikhondo: Soul Eater do enough to get a recommendation from me? As far as bullet hell game’s go Shikhondo: Soul Eater isn’t a bad addition to this fantastic genre. It does however get a couple of things wrong that stop it from getting a higher score but thankfully it gets the most important aspects spot on. Without a doubt my favourite thing about this game was the bosses. Each boss has been done to perfection and fighting them is not only exciting but once you defeat them you get a great sense of achievement as well because each boss actually felt like it mattered. The gameplay that accompanies these bosses has also been done really well and everything felt smooth and responsive at all times. This then means that Shikhondo: Soul Eater does enough to get a recommendation from me because even though there isn’t tons of content and it lacks in terms of variety in certain areas it still manages to tick a lot of boxes and remains fun and challenging for the most part.    … Expand

    With a beautiful art style accompanying the game from the menus to the final boss, gameplay that’s smoother than dancing on ice and able to provide plenty of opportunity for replayability with its increasingly challenging difficulties and numerous game modes, this is a game that shouldn’t be missed if bullet-hell shooters are your type of thing.

    It’s a little pricey at $13.99 for its short length, but for those that want to get the most out of it, there are enough modes included along with an online leaderboard to constantly strive towards climbing. With a distinct art style and near beautiful bullet patterns, there’s a lot of challenge included here for true shmup bullet hell fans, like myself, and it is a game that shouldn’t be overlooked, even if it won’t make many top 10 lists for the genre.

    In spite of the wacky and colorful art design, Shikhondo: Soul Eater is a bland and unfulfilling experience. The gameplay is just okay, and there are no hooks that give this Flatline a heartbeat.
