    Average, more or less the same as previous tomb raider games nothing revolutionary. Would recommend waiting for a price drop before buying.

Обычные девушки мне нравятся, но они итак окружают меня в повседневной жизни и для чего мне в игре наблюдать тоже самое - не ясно. Я считаю, что феминистки ущемляют права нормальных мужиков и суют нос не в своё дело! Делайте игры сами так как хотите, а к нам не лезьте, иначе скоро все персонажи превратятся в представителей меньшинств, чтобы не обижались… на большинство же наплевать!!!
    Естественно для написания сценария взяли очередной раз «сильную и независимую», чтобы ни в коем случае не нарваться на негодование обиженных и оскорблённых - лояльность ведь важнее таланта и профессионализма (сарказм)! Ранее она писала сценарии для дополнений к Ассасину: Чёрному флагу про чернокожего бывшего раба и могло бы быть интересно, если бы был талант, но в наше время талант ничто - лояльность всё:(.
    Почему я считаю, что было давление феминисток? Потому что абсолютно все мужики в игре либо тупые, либо никчёмные, либо трусливые, либо всё вместе, а женщины и воюют и вопросы решают и правят… просто «идеальный» мир, прямо как в Horizon Zero Dawn.
    Разработчики тоже выдохлись и наклепали скучные однотипные локации, не привнеся ничего нового в игровой процесс и даже умудрились убрать ряд элементов из прошлой части, то есть игра деградировала в плане левелдизайна и геймплея.
    Вкупе с ужасным тупейшим сценарием и главной героиней, которую превратили в безвольное ноющее создание без харизмы - мы получили самую унылую часть второго перезапуска. Надеюсь это конец и серию либо опять перезапустят, основательно обновив всё, либо окончательно похоронят, потому что эта часть уже блеклая тень прошлой спорной игры, и ещё одну я просто проигнорирую!
    С очень большой натяжкой 6 из 10 - только хорошей по скидке! Я прошёл в Game Pass и удалил, так что денег не потерял:)    … Expand

    Después de completarlo puedo decir que es el peor Tomb Raider que he jugado hasta la fecha, muy por debajo de sus dos predecesores en esta última trilogía (sobre todo el primero de ellos).

    PROS: - Buen nivel gráfico en general. - El sistema de escalada, aunque es algo que viene ya de los dos anteriores, ha sido mejorado. Sinceramente es muy satisfactorio. - Si te gusta la historia    Después de completarlo puedo decir que es el peor Tomb Raider que he jugado hasta la fecha, muy por debajo de sus dos predecesores en esta última trilogía (sobre todo el primero de ellos).

    PROS:
    - Buen nivel gráfico en general.
    - El sistema de escalada, aunque es algo que viene ya de los dos anteriores, ha sido mejorado. Sinceramente es muy satisfactorio.
    - Si te gusta la historia vas a disfrutar (aún siendo una historia ficticia) de hechos históricos y demás adaptados a la aventura de Lara.

    CONTRAS:
    - Historia realmente plana que parece dirigida a un público infantil. No entraré en spoilers, pero hay escenas "dramáticas" en las que solo de ver la cara de estreñida de Lara y las absurdas escenas en las que quieren expresar pesar te hace reirte y te saca completamente de la historia. Mención aparte a los momentos WTF por conveniencia del guión, sin ninguna lógica narrativa.
    - Misiones secundarias totalmente descartables, hechas bajo el mismo patrón de "recadero" (Ve allí y habla con tal, lleva esto al señor X, etc). MUY aburridas.
    - Diseño de personajes. Menos los poquísimos personajes principales, los demás están hecho bajo el mismo patrón, incluso la mayoría son exactamente iguales. Se nota que fue un proyecto "a medio hacer", terminado a prisa y con mucha desgana.
    - Fallo de sonidos constantes, cuchilladas que suenan 4 segundos después, ceses repentinos de todo el sonido ambiente, música de "presencia enemiga" que salta sin enemigos.

    En resumen, juego aceptable si te lo alquilas, te lo deja un amigo o te viene incluido en alguna suscripción de juegos. Si no tuviera el nombre de Tomb Raider detrás tendría mucho peor puntuación tanto de prensa como de usuarios. Se me hizo pesado de terminar, y la historia le perdí el interés un poco antes de la mitad. Podría seguir, pero creo que con esto ya os hacéis una idea si os conviene o no, en mi caso lo jugué por estar incluído en el Gamepass de Xbox One.    … Expand

    I was a fan of Tomb Raider(2013). I enjoyed every minute of that game. I also liked Rise of Tomb Raider very much. I was thinking this game will be much better than the first two games. But it was totally disappointing.

    This game could be a legendary game with a little effort. But boring starting, bad acting and bad game play on some parts of the game made killed the game. Also the    I was a fan of Tomb Raider(2013). I enjoyed every minute of that game. I also liked Rise of Tomb Raider very much. I was thinking this game will be much better than the first two games. But it was totally disappointing.

    Camera control is horrible, bad lighting... is too easy to get lost or stuck in a completely black room cause you can’t see anything... I remember the other two games much more playable, this has serious control issues. Maybe the developers wanted us to remember how the first Tomb Raider moved?

    Shadow Of The Tomb Raider was advertised as being the grand finale to the trilogy of Lara Croft officially becoming the Tomb Raider... and it didn't really feel that way from a story or growth perspective. She's more or less the same from the last installment personality wise... meaning she doesn't have all too much of a personality which is a real shame when you consider the sheer amountShadow Of The Tomb Raider was advertised as being the grand finale to the trilogy of Lara Croft officially becoming the Tomb Raider... and it didn't really feel that way from a story or growth perspective. She's more or less the same from the last installment personality wise... meaning she doesn't have all too much of a personality which is a real shame when you consider the sheer amount of charisma from the original iteration of Lara. Anyway, I don't care about the story. It's okay, not a great way to end a trilogy but... like I said, I don't care about it.

    I care about the gameplay and I'm sorta mixed on it. It's got everything I loved about the first two games... but doesn't offer much more. There's a few new ways to navigate, some new weapons, a more refined crafting system and a heavier focus on stealth this time around but overall, it doesn't offer anything totally new. To be fair, I don't have a solution to this. I have no idea what they could add to these games to make them a little more refreshing and the problem is certainly only amplified by the fact that I played the entire trilogy in about a week. If I played these games upon their initial releases with years of time away from the series each time, I'd probably remember the whole experience a little more fondly.

    I obviously very much enjoyed all these games though, they make for very good platformers and are full of puzzles that are satisfying to complete. The combat isn't the strongest but as the series progresses, there are less and less combat sequences which I'm thankful for. The increased focus on platforming and puzzle solving paired with the added features easily would make this my go to Tomb Raider reboot game.

    If you're only gonna play one, play this one.

О этот замечательный El Día de Muertos тут он такой магический и таинственный во мраке ночи при свете тысячи свечей, люди в масках-черепах, смешанное настроение радости и скорби витает в воздухе. Лара находит в скрытом склепе древний церемониальный нож и всё,Снова Лара Крофт и теперь берегись Мексика и Перу, ибо наша любимая расхитительница гробниц снова на тропе разрушения и убийств. Хорошо, что дальше Лариску сюжет забрасывает в джунгли Перу, и там вот пусть рушит сколько вздумается. А ей вздумается, поверьте мне. Сами понимаете, фирменные по данной серии игр пробежки Крофт с надвигающимися разрушениями тут на месте, их немного, но это вроде как не надоедает. Наблюдаем очередную попытку создать на нескольких картах подобие открытого мира, но получилось как-то криво, если честно, не ровен час уткнёшься в непроходимый кустарник или непреодолимую оградку высотой по пояс. Утрирую я конечно, но весь этот так называемый открытый мир не более чем линейный лабиринт. Попытались карты насытить дополнительными событиями, но они что-то совершенно не интригуют и сбивают темп прохождения основной ветки. Вот разве что разведывать заброшенные склепы интересно, но их не то чтобы очень много. Картинка в игре стала посимпатичнее, но вот под водой Лара как будто болтается в воздухе. Ну честное слово, АС Origins вышел значительно раньше, посмотрите как там под водой всё сделано, просто небо и земля. По геймплею всё практически то же самое, что и было в Сибири, разве что появились пара-тройка новых механик при преодолевании препятствий в том числе и бег по стенам. Лара теперь также может перемазываться грязью и прятаться в стенах, обросших кустарником, таким образом стелс ну прям очень сильно обогатили, но учитывая, что сражений стало ещё меньше, восхититься всем этим делом толком не удаётся. Эх, скучаю по беспределу, который творился в 2013 году. Сюжет какой-то неровный, то вроде бы захлестывает и становится интересно, то прямо вот уж совсем скатывается в банальщину, чаще, к сожалению именно последнее. Это уже если совсем не обращать внимание на великолепные индуктивные способности Ларисы в духе: «1+2=3, 3 - значит красное, красное - значит гора с серебряной шапкой и т.д.» От игры остались какие-то смешанные ощущения, сказать что плохо так вроде бы и нет, но и восхищаться здесь особо нечем, периодически посещали мысли о преждевременном окончании происходящего.… Expand

    Not as good as Rise, but better than 2013 TR. It's good. Not liking the silly story much, which takes itself way too seriously. Presentation is grand, though. Pacing a bit wonky and personally, I don't like all these many human interactions. I wanna be alone with those puzzles in some weird ass remote place, changing water levels in illogical caves 'n **** Which this still has, luckily.

    Really lacking polish. The voice acting and graphics were still excellent just as they were for the first two games. The animations and transitions were pretty helter skelter though. The overall plot was decent in concept but the execution left a lot to be desired. It all sounds compelling when you listen to those who worked on the game describe it and I saw what they were referring to in my playthrough, but again they were only hints, which was really unsatisfactory. The final boss battle was almost laughable in its simplicity. Really, that was the conclusion to a 3 game AAA arc? I felt let down, similar to how the ending to Mass Effect 3 made me feel. Much of the game has also not evolved since the first in the series came out. It was amazing back then but left me wondering what took so long to produce this game if they just relied so heavily on what they already had from previous games. I agree with the professional reviewers that the jumping felt super floaty and unrealistic. The AI for the enemies was really dumb. I always had to use survival instincts to tell whether the game though an enemy was in sight of others or not because it did not follow common sense. What drove me to great frustration, however, was repeated failures in platforming due to lack of refinement in the response to controls. I jump from a ledge and throw out my rope to grapple onto a ledge and fall to my death. In the same spot. Over and over and over. I do seemingly nothing different, and it catches. This was right at the end game when I'd already gotten a good handle on the controls but all my trust in the system and my immersion in the game were shattered.
    I really wanted to like this game, and there were definitely aspects of it that I did, but mostly I was compelled to finish by a sense of duty to the overall story more than enjoyment of the game itself.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's a pretty solid game until it suddenly takes a hard turn into the white colonialism it's supposedly criticizing. More specifically, it's rather racist in its depiction of pre-Hispanic civilizations. There's a secret indigenous army that are savages unable to talk and whose only purpose is to kill. Maya, Aztec and Inca cultures are treated as if they were basically interchangeable. Religious rituals (human sacrifices) are played for shock. Not to mention the fact that it's a story about a white British woman saving brown people from themselves.… Expand

    *THE BIGGEST ISSUE FOR ME= Lack of fun playground.. it tries to be like a lot of games w/ stealth & unsuspecting badguys waiting to be stealth got.. but it's not fun. it's a choir..
    *I noticed this in the original TR 1st reboot game..the playing about is missing & it's onto the next part..
    ***I would play around in Skyrim,,MetalGearSolicV,,Farcry,,ShadowWar/Mordor for days ignoring progressing the story. FOR FUN..it's fun to sidequest & level you're character without even trying.....

    ***this game is 1/2 the game Rise of was & that screams CASH GRAB..if it's not a cash Grab then something MassEffect Andromeda like is wrong @ CrystalDynamics..
    ***if you are really into Gameplay ! & story 2nd then skip this & watch the cutscenes on youtube..

    *I got very VERY lucky that I was able to rent this game..i probably woulda wasted my money if I didn't get lucky by it being available on day 1 to rent...

    Décidément, Tomb Raider est une série maudite et notre jolie petite Lara a certainement chopé le mauvais oeil... Pourtant le précédent (Rise) avait marqué quelques progrès sensibles mais encore à la fois trop timides et insuffisants : il se complaisait ainsi dans la médiocrité alors que ses aînés restaient confinés dans la fosse à purin, celle de la quasi-nullité selon les épisodes plus ouDécidément, Tomb Raider est une série maudite et notre jolie petite Lara a certainement chopé le mauvais oeil... Pourtant le précédent (Rise) avait marqué quelques progrès sensibles mais encore à la fois trop timides et insuffisants : il se complaisait ainsi dans la médiocrité alors que ses aînés restaient confinés dans la fosse à purin, celle de la quasi-nullité selon les épisodes plus ou moins hasardeux et foireux depuis 1994 !

    Eidos Montréal a donc repris le flambeau et amélioré ou tenté d'améliorer pas mal de détails mais tout en gardant l'ossature très inspirée des Unchartiep depuis le reboot de la licence TR en 2013 par Cristal Dynamics. On a donc quelques zones assez grandes mais fort peu ouvertes reliées par des séquences-couloirs qui font la part belle au spectacle et aux scripts. Ah les scripts ! avec les QTE de merde et tout le tremblement...

    Notons tout de même que dans les options, on peut les réduire significativement... mais pas entièrement hélas, loin de là. Le QTE foireux demeure et ne meurt pas. Shadow impose donc ses phases de combat ou d'infiltration et garde les mêmes défauts pour les combats, accentués ici par de nombreuses phases nocturnes. Ici, Lara ne peut pas tirer de la hanche mais épaule systématiquement et comme les ennemis vous foncent dessus, on se rend vite compte de la nullité du corps-à-corps... et de la confusion totale à ces moments-là.

    Par contre, l'infiltration a été bien améliorée avec une Lara dorénavant bien plus prédatrice qu'avant via quelques compétences très efficaces... Sauf quand il s'agit de jouer à cache-cache avec des piranhas bien sûr : là c'est tout simplement horripilant.

    L'exploration en tout cas m'a semblé dans ce Shadow bien plus importante que dans le précédent et comme on est servi par des environnements sompteux et une escalade très gratifiante, on apprécie amplement la balade dépaysante à souhait. Car techniquement le jeu assure comme un prince (en 4K sur la X !) et en plus se permet d'étaler son bon goût à tous les niveaux, tout le temps : c'en est bluffant !

    Si l'histoire tient plus ou moins la route, la caractérisation de la célèbre héroïne se veut plus "réaliste", plus humaine, voire pleine d'émotion... or tout cela est raté, maladroit et d'une naïveté pitoyable... On aimerait en rire tellement c'est mauvais mais c'est bien trop mauvais pour ça. Qui a écrit des dialogues pareils ? on arrive pas à y croire ! sans doute un auteur de la collection Harlequin ou d'une telenovela quelconque.

    Enfin, les tombeaux sont devenus très casse-couilles et s'ils restent très optionnels, on ne comprend pas pourquoi ils sont devenus aussi chiants et tordus quand ceux de Rise gardaient un bel équilibre. Et donc lorsqu'on en a un ou plutôt l'équivalent d'un dans la campagne principale avec des miroirs et des chariots à pousser et tirer, là on craque. Sans doute parce que j'en ai fait trop à côté (presque tous je crois) et que celui-là est la goutte d'eau qui a fait déborder le vase...

    Tout cela est dommage donc, car l'ambiance est bien là et les décors sont splendides. L'infiltration est plaisante (en dehors des piranhas...). Mais que de scripts tout de même et de niveaux bien étriqués. Et de tombeaux qui me les casse. Il faudrait que Tomb Raider passe au monde ouvert, je ne vois que ça pour sauver une série qui reste moribonde depuis des décennies. Même en 4K.    … Expand

    Doesn't take very long to complete, and not much of end game. Wait for it to come out on special.

    The world itself is beautiful - the graphics are good and I really enjoyed the controls and overall gameplay. The sneaking, hiding, and camouflage is very cool.

    But the story is dull, linear, and far too short for such an epic game. It's like they took a full, good, game and squeezed it through a sieve to simplify and minimise. Collectables are too easy to find, simply because they're everywhere.
    I also found the quest overview and menu system clunky, difficult to navigate (non-intuitive), and unhelpful. After finishing the main questline, there was little to no incentive to keep playing, as I had not been encouraged to immerse myself with the secondary characters.
    At the 'normal' difficulty, the game is too easy. At the higher difficulties, you basically just die too easily - everything else is the same (but you don't have to listen to Lara repeat the same thing over and over).
    I enjoy replaying games - but this is not one I will readily revisit. I'd much rather play either of the older games than go through this one again. It'll collect dust next to Andromeda on my shelf.    … Expand

    Boring walk and pick up junk simulator..Bugs every where, puzzles broken and cant be solved unless you restard, thanks to jenk pysics..There about 5 combat encounters in the first 20 hours. Nice world to look at but it boring

    Cinematically beautiful, but all visuals with no substance. The gameplay is rigid, predictable and after only a few hours...positively boring! The lack of combat or any meaningful storyline reduces this game to little more than a very nice looking interactive jumping simulator.

    You know what? I just can't get behind platformer style linear jump puzzles in an adventure game that's supposed to be immersive. You're constantly just wondering what direction to push to get lara to climb the way the devs wanted. It's an archaic mechanism that just doesn't belong in this decade. It's boring, it's dull witted, it's lazy. I quit the game forever when Lara, gazing up at aYou know what? I just can't get behind platformer style linear jump puzzles in an adventure game that's supposed to be immersive. You're constantly just wondering what direction to push to get lara to climb the way the devs wanted. It's an archaic mechanism that just doesn't belong in this decade. It's boring, it's dull witted, it's lazy. I quit the game forever when Lara, gazing up at a giant clock-work looking monolith straight out of Prince of Persia with spikes moving on it that you just know you're going to be climbing all over in a very specific way. . . and says, "wow it's survived after all of these earthquakes and natural disasters." and I thought to myself - "ya Lara - you're right this is stupid AF.     Beyond the horrific combat is bad stealth. While you can start out stealthy and the game strongly recommends it because, after all, you're not a combat person, it never ends that way. As soon as you kill anyone (because you have to on every level in order to move on) you leave the body behind. Then somebody finds it, they immediately notify everyone else and within seconds no matter where you are at they find you and kill you. One person you could in theory take out fast enough but while you're taking out the 2nd of 6+ men the rest surround you and kill you within seconds. Reload. Try a different stealth, same thing happens, reload. How is this at all fun??

    The traversal system, which should be the highlight of the game, is just plain bad. It is really glorified QTE events that if you fail you die. The traversal system never makes you feel like an accomplished climber, it just feels like button mashing. And you can't even climb most things. You can only climb exactly what the designers wanted you to. On many occasions I couldn't clear a wall at waist level but I could jump from one cliff to another. It is sad to say but AC has a better (even buggy) climbing system.

    The historical aspect is cool but given the horrible mission designs, stupid combat and broken traversal system this is just the worst of a quickly diminishing series. If you are remotely interested in just the tomb raiding/historical side then forget this game. It simply isn't worth the bad design.

    Finally, the fact that every time you quit for the night and then resume the next day it kicks you back to the main menu is unacceptable in this day and age. Every Xbox game should support resuming. If you can't then your game is simply lazy. There are far heavier games that have no problem with this so this is just plain unrealistic in the modern game world.    … Expand

    First game is good, but Shadow of the tomb raider just so bad.

The level design is boring and dull, the game keeps interrupting with cutscenes at the worst times, controls are sluggish (that one is baffling, why didn't they just keep the controls from Rise?) and the art direction is all over the place as if several parts of the sameA terrible follow up to Rise of the Tomb Raider that forgets every lesson that game learned from the original reboot.     What Is Shadow of the Tomb Raider ? A game that has nothing to do with Tomb Raider and its spirit, who died in the reboot in my opinion.

    So basically, it's a walking simulation, in a fake open world (you can't climb 80% of the stuff). 70% of the gameplay is hunting, picking stuffs (in nature or reading useless stuffs). Everything is scripted when you explore the tombs, you have no liberty at all and you have to take THE way the devs wanted you to take). YOU DON'T HAVE TO THINK, except for some littles puzzles in very few moments. The firts tomb raider were way HARDER and better in everything.

    Basically so : useless side quests, useless story, useless characters (yeah, the fat latino with you is useless, Lara needs to be alone and don't talk, the immersion in levels normally have to do the talk if you understand what I mean), broken stealth system, too many cutscenes and dialogues, you collect things that you will never use, the map system is horrible.

    The only thing positive is the aestheticism in the game, that's all.

    I finish the game in 20 hours in hard mode doing a big part part of the side quests (thing that would be unconceivable with the first tomb raider). 80% of my deaths were due to : stealth that doesn't work, broken gameplay when you climb etc). Basically it's a straight line, and if you try to think and try other possible ways, you will die...

    Tomb raider needs to stop trying to copy the other games and come back to what make the success : a very hard game with crazy level design, immersion (you have to feel trap where you are). No no no and no, tomb raider is NOT a RPG with quests with talks to useless characters. That's the fate of video games nowadays (unfortunately) : you wanna please for a large public to make money, with everything is scripted with no savor!     This is not only the worst Lara Croft game this game is the one of the worst games I played in years. It is basically a walking simulator.

Another mediocre optimization for the new generation...The game was already cool, but for the current generation is not worth anything anymore, ridiculous optimization, 900p for the Xbox series s. I thought of buying but after the gameplays I saw I decided to save my money, I will spend on games that are really worth it and not in a garbage of this totally dated

    Dark and dirty but also full of fun and discovery, Shadow of the Tomb Raider is rife with jungle mysteries, embellished history, gratifying puzzles and Lara Croft's personal struggles. With more open world exploration, more climbing, more tombs and more options for combat, it's a familiar but improved adventure and a gripping conclusion to the trilogy.
