The kids must work together to explore the house, searching floor by floor to find the keys needed to unlock the chained basement door and uncover whatever dark secrets are sealed away behind. But one of your team isn't what he or she seems to be, randoms will be randoms f=after all. One of the six kids is actually the Neighbor in disguise which many even be you. Using his shapeshifting abilities, the Neighbor stealthily sabotages the kids' efforts, misleading, separating, and capturing them, never to be seen again. Can you really trust that teammate helping you out, or are they just waiting for the opportunity to stab you in the back when you least expect it? In Secret Neighbor, suspicion and paranoia are just as big a threat as the creepy Neighbor you're all trying to evade. But that's the biggest part of the game's appeal as well. You've got the challenge of tracking down all the hidden keys in this massive house, requiring your team to work together while also splitting up to cover more ground. All the while, you're just waiting to see if your buddy really does need your help to open a locked door down an isolated hallway or if he's secretly just plucking you from the herd. It's a constant feeling of tension and anxiety, which only builds as you slowly lose contact with captured teammates. And there's nothing quite as terrifying as turning away from a friend one second, only to turn back around and come face to face with the creepy glare of the Neighbor the next. It an insane and exhilarating formula that almost makes up for its shortfalls. However much like the disguised Neighbor, there are technical and design issues hiding under the surface that hold the game back a lot. For starters, the controls feel stiff and clunky. It's difficult to maneuver around the cluttered house without getting hung up on random objects or a pitfall. Also, while the game's style is colorful and cartoonish, it's also far too easy for things to blend together as the art style robs the game of visual impact. This is particularly frustrating when you overlook, say, a colored key sitting on a same colored desk because it's almost hiding in plain sight due to the cartoonish art style. One other problem is a standard issue with these kinds of games, which is that you're required to play online. That's fine if you're playing with friends, but playing with randoms is a huge gaggle most times. It's a lot of fun if you happen to have good group, but if even one player is a jerk, the entire match can quickly devolve into a toxic mess that makes you want to leave this neighborhood behind.… Expand

    It is a pretty good game. We are just missing neighbor customization and a balance needed by nerfing the neighbor or buffing the children. The connection also sucks but it is not that bad now that you can refresh your connection without having to leave the app.

    Great game! Is basically the same of Hello Neighbor, but now in multiplayer with a lot of more things to do, and a lot more fun! The only thing i don't liked is the bugs. To me, happened a lot of bugs in the gameplay, idk why, but still a great game

    Fun game, but joining a game is an absolute nightmare!! I have an 200mb/s connection with an open NAT. I've spent 20 minutes just by joining. The game also freezes on the loading screen very often. A dissapointing experience.

    Decent game with a great idea and great suspense, But is very glitchy, often crashes and loading screens take forever!!! Joining a game with a friend may take up to 30 minutes! The House Is way. too big and needs to be easier to maneuver in. Overall, Don't buy this game.

    The game successfully redeemed tinyBuildGAMES and dynamicpixels.
    The occasional bugs can be ignored.
    The teamwork element is perfect for secret neighbor
    And when you put trust in everyone that is in your group/team, it can be horrifying looking at the player sections seeing one by one seeing everyone getting killed and being the last one..

    Boring, non fun game. I was surprised to get into a lobby after the lackluster and confusing first round I played. That so many people were wasting their time with it. Luckily I got to play the neighbor as my second round and it didn’t improve the experience much

    Games play on the XBox one has so much lag and low FPS it should have not been released. Unplayable and not fun when it's constantly hanging. The core gameplay may be good but with this low of fps it's hard to even bother playing.

    getting an ice pick lobotomy would be more fun than playing this game. everything is WAY too dark, the game play itself is SUPER unbalanced, the kids' abilities do damn near nothing, the map design is atrocious, game play is boring and monotonous, and it is very possible for one person to hide the whole time and touch no buttons, but still win. this might be the worst XBOX game I've evergetting an ice pick lobotomy would be more fun than playing this game. everything is WAY too dark, the game play itself is SUPER unbalanced, the kids' abilities do damn near nothing, the map design is atrocious, game play is boring and monotonous, and it is very possible for one person to hide the whole time and touch no buttons, but still win. this might be the worst XBOX game I've ever played, and my second least favorite game of all time besides Yoshi's New Island.
