great nostalgic references- very creative! well balanced rpg, the art goes right in theme with the game's general design.

Only qualm is how short the game is- would love to see more content. 9/10

Growing up as a kid in the 80's, there was nothing about this game that really hit me as making the game what it pitches itself to be. It tries extremely hard to be funny and often falls flat. The game was short and I saw absolutely no replay value in it. I also encountered several bugs that crashed the game. One would think that with the developer giving their work a price increase for a console version of a game several years old that those would have been ironed out. I just can't recommend this game as is. Maybe during a steep price cut, but not in it's current state and price. Expand

At one point above I described battles as a "love story to the past,” and that statement is at the core of all that Saturday Morning RPG is.

Saturday Morning RPG's welcome nostalgia trip to the eighties provides five fun episodes and two bonus modes for its players to sink their teeth into. Although its combat eventually grows tiresome and its quests verge on lackluster, the well-written dialogue, outstanding music, constant infusions of humor, and nonstop pop culture nods keep it from feeling like it overstays its welcome.

Despite all its faults, Saturday Morning RPG is a joy to play and while it's not the longest experience, it should keep you entertained for each moment that you play. You’ll love it for the references, then for the strategy. If not that, then for the ace combat. If you are looking for a game that drips 80s charm, then this is it.
