RWBY Arrowfall is a metriodvania inspired game... and I use the word "inspired" very loosely. Arrowfall is a very uninspired and tedious game with heavy repetition, lack luster combat and a bizarre sense of flow. Arrowfall is a very uninspired and tedious game with heavy repetition, lack luster combat and a bizarre sense of flow. For a game based around the RWBY series you'd expect a better platformer with a combat system with more variety, Ruby Rose the main character in the first trailer for the show used a sniper rifle scythe to perform hacks, slashes, gun-fu and the gun to create a higher jump to best the grim she's up against, in this game you perform the same three slashes, standard gun fire and a dash. This is the same for the other three characters of RWBY team, the only differences is that you will need a certain character to perform certain tasks, Blake creates a shadow of herself to bypass pressure plate puzzles, Yang is strong she breaks big rocks in way and Weiss creates platforms to access high places, which is strange since in show cannon, Ruby, Weiss and Blake have ways to reach high places, Ruby with the aforementioned gun jump and Blake with her grappling hook uzi (Even Yang has a very high jump in the Yang trailer from back in 2013). This game feels sluggish to control, running and jumping feel like if gravity had a metaphorical hand to push you back down to the ground. It looks like, it feels like and it plays like a cheap mobile game platformer. I don't know who this game was made for, even the RWBY fans would be majorly let down by this. I'd recommend skipping this, it's not worth the money. Expand
