    I was shocked to hear Roblox was coming to XBOX ONE, mainly because so many of the games created with Roblox would have a hard time with the transition.
    I was right to be a bit concerned.
    While there are some pretty great games in this package (Framed is my favorite of the bunch), there's not so many games here. While I can understand the reasons for limiting the games to a specific    I was shocked to hear Roblox was coming to XBOX ONE, mainly because so many of the games created with Roblox would have a hard time with the transition.
    I was right to be a bit concerned.
    While there are some pretty great games in this package (Framed is my favorite of the bunch), there's not so many games here. While I can understand the reasons for limiting the games to a specific number (the dev. actually has to update the game to actually WORK on XBOX), the starting number of these games is very limited, and, in total, kind of a disappointment.

    One of the biggest flaws with Roblox on Xbox is that the games are buggy.
    This, in general, isn't too much on an issue since these games on PC have always been just as buggy, but even then, it's still not inexcusable.

    Personally, my biggest flaw with this is not something that I've heard allot of people talk about:
    these games were NEVER meant to be ported onto somewhere else other than PC, and it shows!
    The UI, while slightly acceptable on PC by a slim chance, is a bit clunky, and takes up a fair amount of the screen space where other things, put in place by the developers of these games, are either hard to see or are out of sight completely. While a few of these games do sort of work with a Gamepad (Framed, again, and Speed Run 4, just to name a couple), allot of them really don't (Phantom Forces is a MASSIVE example of this! It's overly sensitive no matter what your settings are, and does not keep your progress from the PC version, making for an inferior version all around).

    Another massive flaw that nobody talks about is one that isn't a criticism of the game itself, but rather, a criticism of everything that surrounds the game: it's a real pain to even get working. While it is a common issue with Xbox users to not be able to play their digital games or watch their movies, this is... something else. The ONLY way I got this working was by blindly messing with my console settings, consistently installing and uninstalling the application from my hard-drive, and resetting the console to a tiring point.
    Many people on the forums have been having this issue, but for now, there is no real statement on this issue.

    Overall, would I recommend Roblox on Xbox? Mayyybe? A few games work well with the transition, but many of them just don't. There are a small amount of packaged games, and they're all overly buggy, and, to top it off, it's a real pain to get working in the first place. I know I might be coming back to it for the great games, but they'll always be 10 times better on what they were originally intended to be played on: the PC.    … Expand

The selection of games when it was available on launch were a mixed bag. But instead of emailing ROBLOX to get your game on Xbox One's bag, you can do it automatically.     The PC game sucks because of its chat. Roblox has really out done themselves this time. its stupid. please stay far away from roblox as possible but the only good thing about it is that its addicting.

    Roblox on PC will appeal to anyone, providing a fun and addictive experience. The lack of games and the feel of being an uncompleted game will not attract Roblox fans of the PC. The slow and buggy experience isn't fit for console.

    This game is just bad, the Xbox One version being even worse. Very featureless, lack of actual original games and really just terrible in general. The development of this game was clearly not bothered with, probably took the source code from the PC and did nothing else. Do not bother downloading this failure and waste of time of a game.

    Roblox was originally a PC game, soon expanding to Android and iOS. Recently they have decided to move to the console side, which is just an all around disaster. The controls are horrible, the games are very few, it's extremely buggy, and everyones "favorite" thing is here too, micro transactions.
    Tl;dr: Just no.

    - The avatar customization in this version is awful, use the one on the website.
    - No sensitivity adjuster
    - Game line-up is awful. Who thought Hide and Seek would do good on a console?
    - The 6 free packages are crap.
    - Can't buy BC/TBC/OBC with microsoft account.
    - You can't use R$ earned from the website on the Xbox One version. (The only things you can buy in this version are microtransactions and packages)
    - Data from games on the website don't transfer. Not that bad, but still.
    - Plugging in an XBOX controller on the PC version seems better, and there's more to do.
    - Phantom Forces, one of ROBLOX's most popular games, has a screenshot on the game's Xbox page. Except it isn't even released on ROBLOX for Xbox yet. This is false advertising, and it was one of the reasons I thought it would be good.
    - R$ prices aren't adjusted for BC users. You get 450 R$ if you have BC+, but it only says 400 R$ for the microtransaction even if you have BC.
    - Sound is extremely bugged, and I couldn't hear anything while playing.

    What ROBLOX games does this need?

    = Build mode support. It's very basic, just the stamper tools. You can already select GUIs, so it should work.

    Roblox is a very creative game i really like it how you can have admin. You can play on ipad or tablet if you prefer but it is pretty laggy though. Roblox is a mini game based game. My favourite part of Roblox is that the avatars are cubical. I extremely recommend it on Xbox.

    Basically the concept is stupid, the only positive is that you don't have to pay to play the games. But most of them are kind of rough/bad rip offs of other games. The game design itself was lack luster. There's just no polish at all and most of them have literally no sound what so ever. I found ROBUX to be the pay-2-play to style which you can use R$ to 'buy' in game benefits (only in some games!)

    I felt if this game if I can call it that? Should of spent some more time in development it feels so unfinished it's just not good at all. I would rather my kids play pacman if this is meant to be 'kid focused' and I even sat my little brother down on it and he didn't like it at all

    I honestly do not understand why people love this laggy experience. I'm not saying it's a terrible game, but also not saying it's a good one. I don't recommend this game at all.

    Roblox is always a game I go to when I need a laugh. The game is very casual (mostly), and usually games have a bunch of funny stuff that'll make you happy after some annoying match you just played in a previous game. This is based off PC, Xbox I heard is buggy and not as good.

    My son is an OBC subscriber for over a year now. I was its number one advocate. The software is very much like the AutoCAD software used by architects , its s great tool to teach web building. I really love the concept. And again, nothing they WILL do about it. Its hard to believe there is no course of action they can take, I unfortunately have stopped giving my son these cards as rewards. He understands now ($300 later, I have added up my receipts this past year) that it does disappear and is not worth it. There is nothing we can do to protect the money and he now realizes Roblox is no help, we are on our own in Robloxia, the company "sounds good" But I feel they are the FRAUD happening here, I feel they are making the Robux disappear and are assuming that most parents will just replace the monies to appease our children, I feel there is more than can do in replacing lost "robux" they choose not to do it, this company is making MILLIONS ripping of PARENTS! I had tons of fun and action on some of Roblox's games, such as Strobe and Roblox Dodgeball. There were bugs like the sound not actually playing, but hopefully Roblox would fix that. Though, there are downsides to the console such as only about 15 games to play (compared to the thousands on PC), and how dull the game play gets when you've found that one and only one special game that remains fun.     Roblox on X-Box is accually very good. Some games might not be optimised but there are many games that are greatly optimised for controllers. Some games are even X-Box only!

    Roblox is a good platform, it has very talented developers, a lot of games to play, and the game maker is extremely easy to use. The olny thing i see with this that it is trying to introduce it's players to their "metaverse", with human-looking characters in Roblox. i have been playing Roblox since 2018 and it is disappointing to see Roblox turn into this.

    A free to play MMO all about playing user created games and making your own. There aren't as many games to try out on Xbox One for some reason. It's not like the console couldn't handle the games so the only explanation is the devs didn't want to take the time to port all of them over.     The majority of the games just suck. Poorly implementation, glitches, and odd design choices squander what good ideas are on display here. That's not to say ROBLOX doesn't have some good games, but even then some random bullcrap can screw over your good time. Out of all the game my favorite was "Hide and Seek Extreme." A hide and seek game without anything actually being extreme. That's right, virtual hide and seek ends up being the best and most stable game in the package.

    As far as the creation tools go if you actually want to make anything exciting or worthwhile you are going to have to put down some real cash on "Robux." That's not the only thing you can do with the virtual currency though, oh no. Every game has things to buy with them. From avatar customization to special gear for that game there's always something locked off behind Robux paywalls. The game offers plenty of subscription services for Robux and more content. You can experience the majority of content without spending a single penny, but there's always going to be someone with more cool stuff than you.

    The social interaction part of the game is also lacking. Each game kind of acts as or has it's own hub world. A place where you wait around for the next match to start. However interaction is limited between party members or people on your friends list. That means there isn't much chatting going on in the game. It's all really quiet and not just because the majority of the games don't have any music (seriously what the heck?). Meeting new people, chatting, and trash talking would have made the whole thing more interesting. It's still possible to do so, but it's more of a pain to make happen.

    From the dated graphics, technical issues, scaled back content, and other misfires with it's free to play nature and MMO qualities make ROBLOX just a bad game. Admittedly one that's become something of a guilty pleasure. There's a certain so bad, it's good quality (or lack thereof) to it that kept me playing longer than I probably should have. I'm actually likely to come back to it at some point. However that doesn't excuse it's flaws. It's still a bad game. One that's especially disappointing given the potential greatness of the concept. You can literally create and play any genre there is. It turns out that ROBLOX's biggest flaw ends up being wasted potential.    … Expand

    While I usually enjoy ROBLOX throughout the past 4 years (I joined in 2011), ROBLOX easily loses its taste of quality playtime after playing it for way too long. I hate the awful community and usually flame on Awkward and ROBLOX High School a lot. ROBLOX has easily one of the best sales I've ever experienced... the sponsors are lazily made. It just takes you at least less than an hour to find the item. Even though ROBLOX is a copy of Legos only online mode, it has one of the best ideas. Catalog makes you want to buy money to get something you want. Hey, at least buy hats... buy gears... buy packages. Heck, even customize your own avatar after buying a few things at the catalog! Site feels like a Facebook rip-off. Your friends can possibly make up for the awful community. Be anything... build anything. The creativity is out of this world! Some sponsors chosen are bad, some are good. The events way before developers took the spot were excellent. Egg Hunts are one of the most hyped ROBLOX events ever. Moderation is kinda silly on one point and you'll possibly come back to ROBLOX any day from now. I'm a forumer and foruming is my life. Overall, ROBLOX is something you would want to start having fun all you want... but there's some things that you want to simply ignore to have fun from it. You expected me to give this a 10? I sure wish I did... but this game feels more mixed than positive.

    BONUS FOR XBOX ONE VERSION: Since ROBLOX just got released on Xbox One recently and the user score is lying negatively, it's my time to raise it with a mixed review which it hardly raises anyways. No, I can't trust the user score. Look at Street Fighter V for example. You can't take away my opinion and even if you do, you won't even win anyways. My opinion is my opinion. Stay entitled to it. The only reason why I didn't want to review this game I've been playing for years is because these awful people just can't face these facts to stay away from the game if they hate it so much. But hey, it's Metacritic and in Metacritic, everyone's a critic. Since ROBLOX just got released on Xbox One, guess where the score is going to lay on... that's right. A 6 out of 10. So far, if you don't include the bonus for only the Xbox One version, this entire review is supposed to go on the PC version but I felt like a Xbox One version would do it just in case.    … Expand

    Its roblox at it's worst yes even worse than the 2012 april fools or ODer games or removing tix. It made roblox worse by limiting down the choices. The camera is buggy. It's a bad game however they tried with the graphics. If you want to play roblox play the pc version.

    The pc version is fun and it has so much variety and is way better than minecraft! When I heard it was going on XONE I wasn't too excited but when I played it the controls were mediocre and the game selection are games that only have one purpose. I would give it a 3 but I do think it will get better but right now it's mediocre.

Swordfighting sucked, Combat was terrible, the avatar designer sucks and in other words the XBOX One edition sucks. You should get the PC Edition because it is a quadrillion timers better.… Expand

So Roblox isn't so bad, but was it really meant for Xbox? It's playable, but you'll get the full Roblox experience on a PC. (You'll notice some of the reviews below are older and were more of a critique because at that time there wasn't hardly many games that were compatible with PC and Xbox alike.)… Expand

    Back then it was a good game but now its awful. The community is trash definitely one of the worst, the graphics are worse then on the Dreamcast or N64, verry buggy, game gets worse every month, the Xbox One version is even worse then the PC version with less minigames and worse controls (too much worse in 1 review :/). The good thing is: most of the mini games are pretty good thats all.

    That made me consider that Roblox should've been released as a XBOX game. As a frequent ROBLOX PC player, the PC version is far superior than this extremely buggy, poorly executed version. You only have a limited amount of games to play, unlike in the PC version, where you could search up ANY game created on ROBLOX. Many/Some games on ROBLOX that people like don't provide XBOX support,That made me consider that Roblox should've been released as a XBOX game.     roblox for xbox in opinion is better then roblox for pc I love this version its basically the same game but on a much better platform with better controls and with game being free there is no reason for you not to play it

    You are better off getting a PC or even a mobile phone or IPad.
    This is just awful. Sure you get free costumes but you lose so many main aspects of what you usually get. It’s just really bad. If you had Xbox live and wanted this game, think twice. Spare yourself from this cursed game. You shouldn’t do this. Plus, a small percent of games have Xbox support. It’s just ****

    There's nothing wrong with it, unless you're talking about, you know, *those* games. Honestly Roblox is a game I really enjoy, and I never get tired of it since there are always other games to play.
    Good for kids/teens to be interactive with others, meet new people, and have a good time on many games. Getting to create and design your own games as well as being able to make clothes.

    -Poor Roblox algorithm. People spend hours on games for it to not get popular, and then spend tons of money on sponsor ads just to get 50-100 people playing with a chance of not getting profit.

Its really good to play with friends if you're just playing around and not taking anything seriously. There are really good creators on this game but they are wasting their time completely.     This version of Roblox is literally just a tool to buy one part of a bundle without buying the whole thing. That's its only purpose. Games on it are hard to play and chat in, and the default skin is just pure ugly.
