    Sure i can enjoy this game playing standard mode, probably learn to enjoy beating the AI with pro mode also, maby even raise the difficulty. But no, its just not OK to have a game in 2015 on the "top" console that has 4 minutes loading for 6 minutes of play.

    This could so easily have been the game bikers have been waiting for, with a large and varied selection of bikes to choose from and a developer that has plenty of experience making motorbike racing games. Sadly it is not that game. The premise is there, the content in terms of bikes and tracks is pretty good (with particular mention of the bikes - they are modeled in fantastic detail), however an overall lack of polish and glaring technical problems marred the launch quite possibly beyond saving.

    For starters, the load times are very long. Compared to other games in the genre it takes three times as long, sometimes even longer, to get onto the track. We're talking 1min30 and up. That's a long time to stare at a loading screen in this day and age.

    Load times can be forgiven however, if the wait is worth it. What finally arrives though is a complete and utter mess. The game's performance on Xbox One is dismal - the developer's claim of 30fps is an outright lie. The frame rate is so choppy that it makes steering the bike difficult - mid corner whilst needing to feather throttle and brakes the game starts skipping frames, leading to a jerky, seizure-inducing fight to stay on the bike. Motorbike racing requires smoothness of input for throttle and brake, bikes are far less forgiving when it comes to grip than cars, and it's close to unplayable in this state. At times it's so bad the audio crackles because the engine is simply buckling under pressure. I've seen brief periods of what must be 10fps or less.

    The sad thing is that there was a news story shortly before release that the game was slated for 900p on Xbox One, but thanks to intervention by Microsoft with optimization tweaks they were able to hit 1080p. If this is true, it would have been better to stick with 900p, because clearly the game has suffered.

    If the situation isn't able to be fixed via patches then it will be a real shame that a potentially good game and a real treat for bike fans on consoles is destroyed by an unplayable frame rate.    … Expand

    This game isn't perfect, it's not even remarkable. But if you are an enthusiast for the sport, like I am, you will get enjoyment out of this game. Across all boards the game ticks all the boxes. It's a simple answer really, if you like motorcycling, you'll enjoy. If it's not your thing and your considering picking it up, i'd pass.

    As a sport bike rider, gamer, and avid Forza player, Ride manages to capture the realistic aspects of racing on a track. From the very customizable bike features, to the realistic feel of the game, this is the best sport bike game on the market. This game is not for the average GTA player who just wants to wreak havoc on other players, this game is meant for the sport bike enthusiast. It'sAs a sport bike rider, gamer, and avid Forza player, Ride manages to capture the realistic aspects of racing on a track. From the very customizable bike features, to the realistic feel of the game, this is the best sport bike game on the market. This game is not for the average GTA player who just wants to wreak havoc on other players, this game is meant for the sport bike enthusiast. It's pretty much a motorcycle version of Forza, which is awesome. The only thing I can complain about is the loading time, and how unrealistic the wrecks are, but that's what to expect.     Lastima que sea el unico exponente del genero en consolas. El juego tecnicamente es muy justo, sus tiempos de cargas son muy elevados. La IA brilla por su ausencia y el control de la moto, en mi opinion, es un hibrido entre arcade y simulación bastante desafortunado. Quizas en las venideras entregas del juego los moteros tengan el referente que se merecen.

    J’avais testé la démo sur Xbox One et d’emblée, le dernier jeu de bécanes de Milestone m’est apparu comme une épouvantable catastrophe. Puis bien plus tard, je suis tombé dessus en okaz pour 10 balles et j’ai retenté de jouer à cet étron en devenir dont je subodorais la déchéance complète.

    Contrairement aux MotoGP et consorts, Ride propose une sorte de carière à la Forza avec des motos de série que l’on peut améliorer selon son bon vouloir… Le principe semble fonctionner mais reste incomplet (pas d’indice de performance par exemple !) ; il s’avère en outre rapidement fatigant, car sujet à des courses trop longues sur des circuits… trop longs.

    Un manque de variété se fait aussi sentir à cet égard avec de surcroît une majorité de circuits « inédits » (c’est-à-dire inventés) mais particulièrement vilains. Quant aux épreuves d’accélération, elles sont complétement ratées et on se demande ce qu’elles font là…

    Le pilotage est en très net retrait de ce qu’a l’habitude de proposer le développeur italien des Moto GP et SBK : ce n’est pas du tout à la hauteur des standards actuels, fussent-ils de 2015 ou de bien après, y compris d’un point de vue plus arcade avec quelques aides activées. Les concurrents sont réglés décidément sur un niveau trop élevé, ce qui oblige à améliorer au maximum chaque bécane afin d’avoir une chance de l’emporter : bonjour le grind qu’il faut se taper, car rien n’est gratuit et un tas de motos restent à casquer pour participer à d’autres épreuves !

    Du point de vue de la réalisation, on dirait un jeu d’il y a plusieurs années pour ne pas dire plus… à savoir de la génération passée ou de celle d’avant. On a en effet des graphismes dégueulasses à peine dignes d’une PS2, des temps de chargement abominables (un minute pour une seule course, puis 30 secondes, rien que pour revenir au menu !) des bruits de moteurs bien pourris et tout un tas de ralentissements et de saccades… inacceptables. Comment Milestone a-t’il pu tomber aussi bas, tout en bas dans un tel caniveau ? mystère !    … Expand

    For now, only die-hard motorcycle fans should give this a rental; everyone else should wait until a sequel can hopefully polish up these shortcomings.

    With over 15 tracks, 100 motorbikes and a lengthy World Tour mode, it’s good bang for the buck. The technical issues, lengthy load times, lacklustre visuals and an erratic AI should be enough to steer most gamers away this fall season.
