The first time playing through the whole game can be a bit annoying but if you go back after understanding all the major plot points, you grow a better appreciation for the game. Rockstar has created a fantastic open world with so much detail and realism. The characters at your camp all feel like real people and the story is incredibly gripping with its pacing and tone. the gameplay is my only complaint because for most of it you the player are not doing anything. The horse steers itself, the game aims the gun for you and the 5th chapter is a low point in the whole game. However, even with those small flaws, RDR2 is fantastic just on a story and technical level. This is one of the best stories ever written in a game.… Expand

    O mundo aberto do jogo é simplesmente quase perfeito! Como tudo no mundo tem algum defeito, esse jogo tbm tem. Acho que eles arrastaram de mais a história no epílogo e acho que a gameplay com o cavalo em todo o jogo acaba sendo muito massante com o tempo.     In the gameplay aspect, we find a comfortable interface and controls suitable for any port, either console or pc, with actions found in other rockstar titles, where in this we can have activities or iconic moments within the story, the handling of weapons or the actions of our character when shooting, reloading, hitting, make it an incredible experience, and that each bullet, depending on where you shoot has its own animation.
    When we talk about graphics, let's be clear that 8 years of development since the first red dead redemption have been made clear, giving an exquisite atmosphere of this world full of life, every step you take, at any point on the map is literally a model to take a picture that when you see it you can not just pass by, but you stay to appreciate every detail of the landscape, from the mountains to the horizon, to the mud with the rain falling.
    When we talk about the narrative section, we find a story full of characters that one will not easily forget, seeing how every step you advance in the story you see their progress, either for better or worse, noticing changes in their decisions and that every step they take has weight in the story, seeing how our protagonist Arthur has more difficulties to continue forward and the feelings that causes us to see that progress, makes him a character with a purpose, either for better or worse with this new honor system, which will make every decision to help or not, has weight.
    I do not have much more to say about this masterpiece, since every player who has had the opportunity to play this title can not not recommend it and say what it means to him this title, the technical section and a story complemented to perfection, make it one of the best developed games without a doubt.    … Expand

    Спойлер это лучшая игра в которую я когда-либо играл. Я провел в ней около 200 часов и в синглплее и в онлайне и ни капли не пожалел. Самое главное в этой игре это ее атмосфера это просто 12 из 10, сюжет 10 из 10, стрельба 10 из 10, сам мир 10 из 10 по проработке и если войти в кураж то игра может затянуть очень на долго просто на изи.     This game is by means not a perfect game. The gameplay and the gun play can be repetitive but the story invests you into the game so much that the gameplay sometimes gets forgotten about. The horses in this game feel more lifelike than some of the other games with horses as a main companion/transportation. Arthur Morgan is perhaps of the best written protagonists in modern day gaming.     It also has all of these beautiful graphics and meticulous animations, which may be a downside for some people but I was willing to put up with it. The attention to detail is also INSANE, though maybe not worth achieving at the expense of people who worked on the game.

    But of course it ain't perfect, I'm not sure any game is, I think the key issue has to be with the missions; They're fine the first time around, but after playing them again or dying once you start noticing how restrictive they are structured, there's also a LOT of them; they sacrificed probably 8 or 7 years off of their worker's lives to make a chapter dedicated to an island, there's also a lot of dumb trailing stuff and too many "collect **** to do the heist mission" missions.

    So yeah, for future titles (that are never going to be made), they can afford to make the main storyline shorter and in return make the missions and set pieces more substantial. As much as I enjoyed the open world "crafting and collecting things" concept I think there's ways of making that feel more substantial and a bit less mundane. Also, don't torture people in order to make a game.    … Expand

    The visuals are jaw-dropping. Outdated controls. Realism. Objectives in missions feel repetitive (like shoot bad guy, take (so on, so on) from A to B. Character development is pretty solid here. A saddening, tugging on your heartstrings ending.

    Overall, the best western game ever created.

    The story itself is amazing and addictive. The scenery is breathtaking, and the animals are so incredibly realistic that I couldn't be sure if I was watching a documentary or playing a game. The honour system is a really fun idea and challenges you to do your best, or your worst. I love it.

    Another game from Rockstar. That sentence means a lot when it comes to open world games, a studio that always surprises its fans and breaks records with their titles, a beautiful story, average controls, awesome graphics... there are very few sequels/prequels that can surpass the original the way RDR2 does. A single player game definetly worth playing.

    Os gráficos do jogo são tão incríveis que eu nem percebi a resolução bizarra de 864p, ainda não terminei a história mas até aqui está sensacional, a gameplay é igual a do GTA V, só muda que bem, o jogo se passa 2 séculos atrás então usa-se cavalos e não carros e também as armas não são as mesmas

    This is simply the best game of all times, I guess 99% of the people will agree that it deserves a 10. Perfect characters, pefect gameplay, perfect graphics. The slow, intense and deep motion of the storyline makes it the most immersive game of all times. I think the 1% who will deslike it, are children and online players, who only care about shooting, and know nothing about critic.

    Un gioco che resterà nella storia, ci sono giochi usciti nel 2020/2021 che fanno pena come per esempio Cyberpunk 2077, invece rdr2 anche se uscito nel 2018 è un gioco pieno di dettagli e cose da fare. Io ho finito il gioco qualche anno fa e ancora scopro luoghi nuovi o easter egg che non avevo scoperto. In poche parole è un gioco da 10

    Where do I start. First of all the gameplay is almost perfect, animations are smooth, gun mechanics are perfect and overall its just a good gameplay experience. Finally the story is one of the best if not the best story I have ever played in a game, it is both emotional and thought provoking.

    This game has overall the best story mode, and most visually appealing gameplay I’ve ever seen. Full of plot twists and pick-your-own routes, this is a truly deep, as well as exiting and saddening masterpiece. Grand Theft Auto 5 has the edge over this game for online, but this game contains the true king of stories. Great work rockstar, 9 years well spent.

    It is an incredible game, if you loved red dead redemption 1 you are gonna love this one, The story , the music, the graphics are all amazing, the gameplay is something that some people might or might not like. But overall is truly an incredible experience, that i think is better experienced slowly.

The story is so deep and even once you have completed all 6 chapters + the epilogue there’s still so much to do and explore. Whether your thing is to be an outlaw, an epic gunslinger or a gambler, I have never put my controller down to say “this game is boring.” NEVER. The story is so well built and it has a lot to it. It was quite sad considering there were numerous deaths of certain gang members which include Sean, Hosea, Lenny, Ms Grimshaw, Micah, Kieran, and sadly the main character, Arthur. You can tell that Rockstar did a great job at making us form a deep connection with the game, and Arthur, which led to an extremely sad ending of Arthur dying either from being murdered by Micah, or of natural causes (likely because of his Tuberculosis.) Since Red Dead Redemption 1 the game has developed so much, the story, graphics, and map. Rockstar was very creative with “extending” the story backwards. It would be so cool if RDR3 was also “extended” backwards and maybe we could play as Dutch. It would be so cool to see you pick up all the gang members as Dutch including little Arthur and John. I would also love to play the Blackwater massacre that would be so cool, and I would like to see life before the mountains and the gang members who died IN the mountains. An extension to the map would be cool even though it’s already fairly large. It’s surprisingly smaller than GTA V’s map but that’s because it seems larger since it takes longer to get everywhere on horse compared to a car. My final thoughts? I can just see why this game is $90 AUD. Rockstar put so much time and effort and there’s still people complaining about no GTA 6 even though they don’t realise that rockstar has been working on this beauty for all those years.… Expand

There are so many details in the world that are astonishing, from the incredible graphics to the animals' sound and behavior, everything feels way too realistic for a videogame.
    In a rapidly changing America, where there is no more room for outlaws, Arthur and the rest of the crew are trying to find time and money to reach for a better place and spend the rest of their time living by income.
    I played a lot of games and in most of them, I struggle to remember most of them. Take Dark Souls, for example, one of my favorite games; I can cite the name of Solaire, Sigmayer and Lautrec easily... but then I struggle to remember or even find other characters, but I can easily tell you all the names of the Van der Linde crew. As the player progress in the game, bonds with the characters are created, and not only with Arthur Morgan, the protagonist of the story but with all its main characters.
    The game is very fast-paced: the story, the gameplay, and the character development are fast which fits well with the specific timeline Rockstar games decided to take for this episode of the Red Dead series.
    Another great aspect of the game is the music. Both the soundtracks and the original songs are incredibly well performed and fit the atmosphere so well, making the game much better in parts where it kinda fell down.
    In fact, I found myself spending too much time riding a horse instead of doing something fun like shooting, and most of the quest requires you to ride a horse before doing the fun part, which feels like an unskippable cutscene that nobody wants to see.
    That is the main problem with this game. There is too much filler between fun shooting parts and tedious horse riding. One of the most fun parts was Chapter 5 because for almost its entire duration it was fighting and shooting, but storywise it was horrible. Chapter 5 doesn't make any sense to the previous part of the story and has no meaning whatsoever; it could be just completely deleted and the story would still make sense.
    I also don't like how the story continues after a certain part. In the most climax moment, where everything is set and done and you are certain that is the end, the story just keeps going for no reason other than letting the angry and sad player have what they have been lusting for. It's the exact opposite of what The Last of Us 2 did and I think Rockstar didn't want to risk having to deal with a lot of angry players like Naughty Dog had to, even though it meant to make a great game less great.

There are many ammo types yet they serve no purpose because the weakest ammo type could kill an enemy with one shot to the head and believe me it's this easy I went through the whole game getting headshots like I was robocop. Furthermore, the weapon variety is lacking in this game. Moreover, I hated the horse controls tapping A for two hours is not a great gaming experience in my opinion. I hated how linear the missions were the game gives you no room to do what you want and that destroys the replayability of the game. Furthermore, once you have lots of money you have nothing to spend it on. RDR2 excels at making stories with great characters and amazing villains yet most of the missions are just following this guy to this place and then killing 50 guys. RDR2 gives you one the best sandboxes in gaming but the missions are the most linear garbage I have ever seen it reminds me of call of duty campanes. I truly hope rockstar will do better with their next game but for now, we will make do with this flawed masterpiece. I recommend this game to every OpenWorld enjoyer. While the gameplay certainly has its flaws as unnecessary realism can often lead to the gameplay becoming too boring and repetitive, I believe that this is one of the best games of our generation.

    These and other questions are masterfully answered in RDR2, a game where the narrative should not be taken lightly. One of the most spectacular protagonists that I have ever seen, with a moral dilemma that will be a matter for the player to solve it. It is never too late to play it. 10/10

Simply amazing! it's wonderful how the game makes you feel like you're Arthur Morgan, when the game was announced I was afraid they'd opted for a new character instead by John Marston, but in a few hours of gameplay I already had the feeling that there was no better character to choose, a giant affective bond becomes with the course of the game, with his death, it was not possible to hold back the urge to cry, I got to lose heart from playing with so much affection and appreciation that I created with the character, but that was crucial for the depth and quality of this beautiful story.
    Now about the gameplay, so detailed and good quality that I think since my childhood where I started to appreciate e love games I've never seen something so relentless, different weapons, different types of play, strategic, aggression but the main thing is the morale meter, it's impressive how the population and mainly the end of the chapters is altered by its morals it manages to do from the audience that played the red dead revolver, red dead redemption 1 and even started and discovered the game by the two crying with the end of the game and by the conclusions and lessons that the game can take to the player's life.
    About other characters, WOW, MAGNIFICENT, WONDERFUL, the detail that rockstar put in each of the gang members especially Arthur, John, Micah and of course Dutch, is something that at the moment I'm writing this review I still haven't found a word that describes it, and it's beautiful to see the affection put into each side quest character and even npc's, it's something impeccable. About Graphics, man, it's hard to talk about this, the only thing I didn't like maybe the only thing about the game is the female characters' hands getting inside their clothes, but the game is so brilliant you can barely stand there, if we've already seen how the GTA V dog graphics have aged so well, I believe that only RDR2 has what it takes to be able to live with these graphics 2 times most.

It has a beautiful and immersive world and a ton of fun to be had. I recommend you buy this game. Also the title is dishonest, as this game is a prequel.

Можно сказать, пытаешься выпросить у Бога хоть какое-то прощение за все содеянное, у всего мира, у близких для Артура людей. Но все рушится прямо на глазах и остаётся только путь искупления и принятия подходящего тёмной тучей конца. Изумительный пример, как через геймплей можно дополнить вглубь и вширь философскую идею произведения, сам сюжет. Я с ходом игры лишний раз осознал, что делать плохие поступки (которые влияют на карму) как раз плюнуть. Убил ради прикола прохожего, ограбил кого-то для своих алчных целей. Весело и беззаботно. А делать поступки хорошие стоит реального труда. Чтобы равноправно поднять карму от обычного убийства прохожего фермера, нужно сделать что-то стоящее, как минимум, времени. Даже прикол с рыбалкой и отпусканием рыбы обратно в воду занимает несоизмеримо больше усилий и времени, чем достать револьвер и пустить кому-то пулю в лоб. Про другие аспекты игры даже говорить не стоит. Все и так знают, что это технологический шедевр в плане графики, что это САМЫЙ (!) проработанный открытый мир за все время, который живет сам и в котором, самое главное, хотелось бы пожить самому. Про внимание к деталям маниакальное, что отстреленная веревка на повозке с дровами (сам факт что ее можно отстрелить говорит об этом) в итоге приведёт к тому, что дрова по физике начнут с обоза падать, приведя к каким-то последствиям, на которые живой мир игры реагирует. И таких мелочей буквально тысячи.

    This is the second best video game I have ever played; Witcher 3 being the first. Red Dead Redemption 2 has a great story and an awesome open world. I truly felt like a cowboy and was sad when I finished the game.

    . The immersion is huge with the realistic approach of gameplay. People complain about riding on horseback for too long, but this is the intent of the game. To show the vast and gorgeous vista, to make the transition between biomes seamless and to show how desolated was the US west at that time in history. The immersion through reality fidelity in gameplay is also visible in small actions picking up your hat on the ground when it falls and in mechanics like hair growth with the passage of time.
    . The characters are relatable, the interactions are great and they all seem so alive.
    . The emotion connection we feel for Arthur and few other characters is entirely on another level, even as the game struggles with the slow pacing of both gameplay and story progression.

    Well, I'm for from a professional reviewer and this got to be one of my first times doing this. I know RDR2 have it's flaws, but they are little and none of them interfere with the experience. I can even say that some of them them are necessary for the feel the developers wanted to convey to players.

    I don’t know what they thought in the past but this is the most detailed game ever done, you can see this when YT channels do graphics and details comparisons, they use RDR2 as the standard, 4 years later and no game can compare.
    Ps: I’m sure people was so frustrated waiting for gta 6 and started hating this masterpiece instead of looking at “arguably the best game ever” the right way

The tone of the game is consistent throughout, never feeling like it's too much or too little. However, The most impressive aspect of the game, to me, is how the story doesn't serve the game, rather the game serves the story.

    The gameplay is slow. That is a gripe I have with the game, with *way* too many missions where all you do is... follow. It really halts the game down and makes it hard to get into at first. But in that same vein, there's a reward, with a shootout or a chase or something that adds to the excitement of the game. And the story is levitating it all, wondering what's gonna happen next or what the characters will do.

    Again, the game is slow. It's a bit too slow, and there is a chapter in the game that just felt completely unnecessary, but as an experience, it surpasses those flaws and by the end of the game, you'll want to play it again.

    I know the intro may be boring, but it gets better. Trust me.

    OH and the open world is AMAZING. Second-best in any video game, behind Breath of the Wild. However, it's an open-world that feels more alive than any video game out there.    … Expand

    I've been through quite a few games, including those with open worlds, but the way I was impressed by the study of the open world in this particular game, there is simply no comparison with anything. The way everything is detailed makes the world of this game truly alive and unique. There is something to do in this world (especially if you like to play games to the holes), do you want to fish? Yes, no problem, here's a fishing rod for you, different baits for different types of fish, and in addition tests and catching legendary fish. Go hunting? Here are hundreds of species of animals for you, make clothes from their skins, sell meat to a butcher and hunt legendary individuals. There are also a bunch of different tests that diversify the usual study of beautiful places and attractions. I personally got stuck going through trials related to gambling.

    The plot and characters in this game are also gorgeous, at one point this game begins to justify the word "redemption" in its name, and real male tears will come from the finale of the game (unless of course you liked the whole game in general). There is no point in describing the plot and characters in reviews, since I don't want to tell everything, and anyway, I can't understand the whole point from the review. You just need to take it and play. I can only say one thing, the main character - Arthur Morgan, has become one of my favorite protagonists in games in general.

    In conclusion, I will say that I can safely recommend the game for passage, since there are no similar projects with such a genre and study of the world, except for the first part. If you want to experience the wild West, which is becoming less and less wild, spend dozens of hours doing tests, hunting, fishing and just exploring the beautiful world, then you are definitely into this game. 10/10 definitely    … Expand

    It doesn’t matter if you are gamer, a human being, or an alien from another planet; Red Dead Redemption 2 is a title that you just can’t miss. The bar set by RDR2 is so high that even Rockstar itself will probably have a hard time raising it. One of the best releases in the history of digital entertainment.

    While it has some notable but minor flaws, it's hard to argue that Red Dead Redemption 2 is not a masterpiece. The end result of the meticulous detail, wonderful writing and stunning looks is an open world that sets a new bar for believability, and a time and place I can't stop thinking about or wanting to be a part of.
