    A much slower-paced affair than the madcap GTA Online, Red Dead Online is already loaded with activities and modes and provides a promising foundation for a long-lasting multiplayer experience. The PvP modes have a tendency to frustrate but the co-op shines, and Red Dead Online is expansive enough that you can ignore entire swathes of it and still have more than enough to keep you occupied. If you haven’t dipped in yet, round up some friends and saunter in. It’s well worth a visit.

    Even at this early stage (there’s no indication yet when Red Dead Online will officially emerge from beta) there’s plenty to do, with a similar wealth of content to the single-player game. And yet Red Dead Online hasn’t abandoned its essential character: it’s altogether slower and more content to leave you to your own devices than GTA Online. The prospect of living an online life in Rockstar’s vision of the not-quite-as wild-as-it-used-to-be West seems just as alluring as the story mode.

    The building blocks are already being put in place to make this a micro-transaction-filled f###fest. There are numerous items that you can only buy with GOLD, and it is abysmal grinding to get even one of those bars. They continue to nerf legitimate ways to make money under the guise of "correcting the economy", which is R* speak for "We've noticed you don't want to buy our micro-transactions, so we made it more grindy so you'll have to". Then there's the gameplay. Its relatively similar to GTA, but GTA HAS PRIVATE SERVERS. Since they don't have private servers, you will be constantly murdered ingame, or you will murder another griefer constantly ingame, with no end in sight. Play single player until they get their act together, and stop this extortion hiding behind gameplay.    … Full Review »

    Long intro mainly solo quite cool but mostly useless. Then you discover than everything is super-expensive and it takes ages to unlock.

    Missions are always the same, objectives are useless and everyone try to kill as many enemies as possible to greed the XP so it's not interesting at all.

    I made a girl (mostly to see the differences), customisation is quite poor (do not expect a change IMO) suit are very expensive. I saw only 4. I'll focus the 2 which are dresses hence the most expensive. One is quite ugly (citizen but not the cool ones from saint denis) @225$ (which is at least the 4 firsts hours of grinding without spending one dollar) and the other is more about a bounty-huntress but no price and can be unlocked @lvl92 (not less than 150h IMO) or 19 gold bars (6/7 euros...) And same **** for weapons and other stuff

    For a game that complex I understand it may be buggy and I did not have many problems.

    For the rest MP modes seems standard shoots and races. For large team shooting mode, not many people. 4 teams of 2 for conquest mode because there's barely nobody (instead of 6). Tried to join a race and the game was already running so I spectate and it seems that players are using their own horses... not sur how it work but they were only two in the game 1 month after the release...

    A cheap shameless money grab from Bugstar games. Haven't seen this much bugs since Fallout 76 from Bethesda. I don't recommend it to anyone.
