    Queen’s Quest 3: The End of Dawn on Xbox One manages to possess a story full of intriguing plot points, some truly wonderful artwork, a cracking bonus chapter and a shed load of collectibles. Unfortunately, it’s held back by the mini-game selection, the terrible animation and a cursor issue which really puts a damper on every single hidden object section.

    Much like any other game from Artifex Mundi, Queen’s Quest III: The End of Dawn will serve you well if you’re seeking a decent point-and-click adventure that’s chock-full of interesting, diverse puzzles. The entire experience is predictably pulled shy of greatness due its hit and miss story, its poor animations, and its shoddy voice work, but, in grand scheme of things, the game does manage to maintain player engagement through variety and innovation.

    Queens Quest 3: End Of Dawn is Artifex Mundi's newest installment in the series for the Xbox One and I always enjoy their puzzle/hidden objectQueens Quest 3: End Of Dawn is Artifex Mundi's newest installment in the series for the Xbox One and I always enjoy their puzzle/hidden object style titles and whenever a new game from them releases it automatically draws my attention because there hasn’t really been a bad game from Arifex Mundi. Queen’s Quest 3: The End of Dawn carries on that trend and while it may not be the best game I’ve played from Artifex Mundi, it still gets the most important aspects correct. Queen;s Quest 3's presentation features a nice visual and a sound design that sets the scene for the story well. The story despite it being a little predictable from time to time, I found it to keep me invested throughout and I also found it to combine with the gameplay extremely well as well. In terms of the gameplay it’s the usual formula that these type of games have always followed and there isn’t really anything new to mention here. I like solving puzzles in certain ways and this time around I did find some of them to be a little more challenging. Don’t get me wrong they won’t have you baffled for long but it was nice to be challenged a little more even if there is a few too many hidden object scenes for you to tackle. At the end of the day then if you like Artifex Mundi and you like their style of games then you’ll once again be pleased here because whilst Queen’s Quest 3: The End of Dawn doesn’t offer anything new it still features a formula that gets a lot of things right and I’m sure fans of these games will get something out of this game throughout their journey. If you like the classic Artifex Mundi formula this is an easy decision to buy or not. As a fan of Artifex Mundi's games I definitely recommend it.… Full Review »

    You know by now what to expect from ArtiFex Mundi. Beautifully drawn backgrounds. There is fifty of them here. Great voice acting, and this one delivers that as well. Hidden object puzzles there is twenty six of them here. As well as minigames. This one has forty four of those. You play as Eliana a girl dropped off the prestigious Zora Academy of Alchemy as a baby. Alchemy always has a big role in these titles because it's fun puzzle solving mixing ingredients. They should probably try doing a cooking one to mix it up a little bit. At the age of sixteen she shows a lot of potential and is sent out on a huge adventure to retrieve stones after the head master is attacked by gargoyles. She must get the stones from the Dragonlord to save the Academy, and complete her journey. As always it's good storytelling even though if this one is super predictable I still enjoyed it, and the amazing voice acting very much. You also get a little fairy side kick on this journey to help you retrieve things in high spots, but she doesnt come into use very much.
    This isn't the best Artifex Mundi game to date, but it certainly isn't the worst. It's really worth a play for fans of the genre especially if you have already played the first two in the series. They aren't a must play though to enjoy this one. I find these games are very fun to play with friends and family, and have help in solving puzzles and finding the hidden items. The thing with this one is it's super easy . I never really felt any real challenge. Could it be from playing so many? I really don't think so. Even if it is a little easy that will make it fun to play with all ages. Can have your kids give a little assistance. I really love their library of games. Even the mediocre ones I enjoy, and think have value and worth the time spent on them.
    The achievements are easy as well. Its mostly just for solving puzzles, and doing them fast and precise. Also for making your way to the end. It's always best to play on expert there is no real penalty for failure, it's just slightly more difficult as you may have less attempts at a puzzle before getting dizzy, you can;t really fail in the long run so might as well do it and get the achievements in one play through. There are different hidden items like ghosts, crest, and hats there is achievements for finding all of them as well. There is also a bonus game you unlock once completing the main story. I love this with Artifex Mundi. Always a reward for finishing and bonus content. It's not very long usually , but it's free so got to love it.

    Overall: Artifex Mundi always the king or should we say Queen of Hidden object games. Although the story may be predictable, and the puzzles easy. One reviewer says there are too many of these hidden object puzzles in this one, that is impossible in my opinion. I always buy these games the minute they come to Xbox, not something I do with any other franchise except Doom or Serious Sam, they must be doing something very right. Keep them coming, I will buy every one and thank you to the developers for bringing something different and unique to the gaming world.… Full Review »
