The racing can be fun, finding that niche of being accessible and competitive. If we look at the pros and cons... Pros = The inside look (cockpit view) is great and not makes your eyes hurt like some other games. There's lots of cars and tracks you can try so for some time you'll have enough resource to stick to the game. Handling style is smooth I really enjoyed while I was driving in Project Cars 3 trust me there's some games supposed to be a racing game but their worst future is handling like WHAT? Other than that only con I can talk about is I think career progression feels little slow like you going no where after a day or something like that. So people this game is quite nice I would play it if I'm a genre because as a gamer it was really fun! Expand

My gripe with project cars 3 is it's trying to be to many things at once...... Is it a bad game no, not at all. It's easy to pick up and play, simpler control system for newer players to the series. But it's nothing like PJC 1 or 2, If your looking for a sim racer experience then sorry, this isn't it, think more of a mashup of need for speed, forza horizon and forza Motorsport.

    I would

I would also suggest to look at a few videos of game play before you make the decision to purchase

My Pros: Fun, Easy to pick up and play..

My Cons: Not for someone looking for an experience like the previous titles, making itself a bit to many things at once.

Overall the game is fun but not the project cars i'm used to.

Project Cars 3 is still a simulation. It almost perfectly models the experience of a visually impaired person under drugs in rush hour traffic.

Runs smooth, graphics a step backwards from PC2, less tracks, less cars, poor customisation. A poor man's Forza. Totally ruined a good franchise. Played a handful of times will go back to PC2, ACC and Forza 7. Much cheaper to buy and way better games. Codemasters did great with F1 but totally failed on this.

Namco did a good job with Project Cars 3. While it isn't great. I find this game to be good. Not great, but good.

The games dead. No online players at all when trying to have a race, even after release it was one or two people to race in lobbies. Graphics still suffering a of of screen tearing and it just doesn't feel like a fully game for the money. It's not as good as Project cars 2 from a sim point of view and it's not as good as Grid from an arcade angle. Forza 7 is a much better simcade game.

This game Is 8 but to compensate nonsense reviews done watching youtube videos i gave 10. The game Is good, runs smooth on Xbox One x and Is a blast to play, i definitely love the Force feedback playing with a wheel.

Bad graphics even on Xbox one x, same content than Projet CARS 2. Races are too short, championships are too short. There isn't an offline custom championship mode. No pits, no tyres Wear... but many screen tearing. Very Bad game.

Despite the bad reviews I bought the game anyway and I'm glad I did. It's nothing like the first 2 Project Cars Games, it's more like Grid meets Gran Turismo. The graphics aren't great, but they're OK. The game though is more like the game Grid should have been! There's a hefty 32gb patch to download, replacing most of the 35gb or so that was on the disc! Honestly it was my worst disappointment in 10 years! I don't mind if it's simcade or arcade either, BUT at least then it needs to be awesome graphics, great sounds and be immersive as well.... But it's not at all! Seriously it's looks like Forza Motorsport 4 from X-Box 360 era...

I can get the hate on this game. Did SMS say they were developing a full sim racer. Im not so sure.

Is this a good game? I believe it is a good game, and people hate because theyre sim racers. Yes, I love sim racers and I have ACC for the xbox. Great game, but boy does it have flaws. Yes and many. Yet, I will work with the developer to get regular update and fix. It seems strange to me that many are not giving PC3 similar respect.

Last night I drove in a multiplayer race around Nuremberg long circuit, 10mins per lap. It was an absolutely awesome race. Did it have the technical precision of ACC, no. But PC3 has accessibility.

ACC is a difficult game to master and it requires a vastly higher degree of dedication to succeed at ACC. But it has limited cars and limited tracks. I still get the first corner right-off and poor collision mechanics. Poor multiplayer.

PC3 have a vast number of tracks, huge number of cars, and great multiplayer. It definitely has its place with the less sim orientated crowd. If you're a sim racer, this game wont live up to the technical standards of ACC or other sim but it does provide fine racing in my opinion. Just get away from that early career mode where the driving is not that great and in my view provides a poor impression on actually how good the game is. Delve into multiplayer, the custom race, select those faster cars and watch it go. To good for 7.0 but not good enough for an 8.0, but that's the system here. On my early impressions, I would give it 76% Flawed but actually likeable.

Absolute crap, project cars 3 is a really bad mobile style game that is nothing like pc1 or pc2.
Ignore the critics score (as usual). The graphics are terrible, frame rate is very bad, and the the handling is atrocious, please heed this warning and do not buy it! Total rip off!

Mobile game. The game looks awful compared to Forza or Gran Turismo. The game is poorly optimized xbox one x perfomance mode and the screen tearing is ridiculously too much. It's a bit of a tragedy. i never thought the pCARS games were good games, but at least they were mediocre sims. pCARS 3 is a MUCH better GAME than its predecessors, the career is much better and it's much more fun to play with a controller now, which was almost unplayable before.

It's a lot of fun to finally be able to enjoy those great tracks, that have always existed, in a more arcade

It's a lot of fun to finally be able to enjoy those great tracks, that have always existed, in a more arcade like racer, but it defies my understanding why they didn't call it Shift 3 instead, as that is basically what this game is.

The game is nothing like the first two games, which seems like suicide from the marketing perspective, as it's clear as sauce this will greatly anger the long time fans and probably be overlooked by the more casual racers, who like Forza Horizon or GRiD, cause that's where this game is aimed at now.

From a GAMER'S perspective I have WAY MORE fun with this game, than with the other two games though, UNTIL......

Yeah, until one discovers, that the progression in this game feels very level-gated, which gives the whole game the feeling of a mobile game, which is somehow underlined by the truly lacklustre presentation, which looks clearly worse than on pCARS2, all while not really performing better.

The VR mode atm is broken and unplayable for me, as it unexplicably jitters along from time to time.

Sorry SMS, your last two games already released broken and unfinished but were never fixed. Please do better this time.

As a verdict: I don't understand who this game is for. This would be a good game without the mobile progression, which simply reeks like GaaS and monetisation.

I'd give it an 8, if it wasn't for that, but as it is I can't give more than a 6 right now

Looks worse than Project Cars 2, has worse handling and the cars are mostly a rehash from PCARS 2.
Doesn't have as many new race tracks as needed, just more fictional street tracks that were designed to feel like NFS Shift 2 and Test Drive Ferrari.
The handling is terrible, it feels almost as bad as GRID 2019. The career mode makes it feel like the mobile game Real Racing 3. I

A fun, casual arcade racer that has a decent chunk of a career mode to keep you busy with some fun aspects, let down by wonky AI and being placed into the wrong series of games making it really hard to recommend to either demographic of casual race fans or sim racers.

Project CARS 3 leaves mixed impressions. It can please fans with a nice process of driving, but it's difficult to recommend it to beginners because of the monotonicity factor in the career mode. Slightly Mad Studios still have a lot of work ahead to solve technical flaws and provide further support to the game, if they still want to win new players' attention.
