Mimo wszystko 9/10.

Everyone knows that PES completely fell apart in the last generation. I was lucky enough to jump ship at just the right time to Fifa 09 and enjoyed many years of superior gameplay whilst the diehard pes fans continued to argue that pes is still king.
The story is similar to Arsenal FC, brilliant between the years 98-04 but utterly disspointing for the next decade.

It's important to note that in FIFA 06, EA introduced a new game engine and it took about 2 years for them to get the best out of it and deliver FIFA 08 which was exactly the point at which FIFA became widely regarded as the best football game. The game engine was developed specifically for next-gen consoles in mind and was key to the success of FIFA for the next 7 years

In 2013 Konami introduced the Fox Engine to PES 2014. Although not a great game, PES 2015 saw a good leap in gameplay and many pes fans once again started to beleive that pes was once again back at the top. Now, exactly 2 years after first introducing PES built with the Fox Engine, Konami seem to have finally nailed it. The gameplay is finally a joy and absolutely fluid, and graphics are no longer previous-gen looking. Unfortunately for FIFA, they are making the same mistakes that PES made between the switch from PS2 to PS3 and that is, to not change much and expect to remain on top. This is clear in the new feature set being promoted by FIFA. Clearly if women's football is the biggest change since FIFA 15 then someone seems to have run out of ideas.

For those who have not yet made up their mind, I would strongly advise downloading the PES 2016 demo and having around 3 or 4 10 minute games with a friend. Then compare this with the FIFA 16 demo. Unless you are very accustomed to FIFA, i am certain you will find the PES gameplay better.

I have not spent a penny on PES since PES 2008 but I can gladly say that the king is finally back and I won't be returning to FIFA this year.

First of let me start by saying since PES 6 on the Xbox 360, i've always been a Fifa fan & still am a huge fan.

    Pros:

Terrific feel - The game is the most lifelike feeling football game i've ever played, the movement and touches feel authentic, when scoring a goal you have to work the ball around, passing/moving players. It is a joy to play.

Improved Presentation - Not even a hardcore PES fan will disagree, FIFA has by far the better UI however that doesn't mean Konami haven't taken a huge step forward here. The menu's are more streamlined, the small cutscence's in Master League are enjoyable and the small changes to the team's coming down the tunnel etc are very nice.

Champions League - Very nice presentation i.e. if you have a match in Master League or just Exhibition

My Club - Again another mode similar to Ultimate Team which isn't as good (No auction house) but has improved over previous editions.

    Cons:

Goalkeepers - I can't quite put my finger on it but something seems to be out of place with the movement of the keepers (this is what is stopping me giving the game a solid 10). They will make reasonable saves however sometimes they just seems to let the ball roll past them. Hopefully Konami can address this with a patch but even on 'Top Player' I have found myself scoring/conceding goals that just don't look right.

At the end of the day, gameplay is the most important thing and PES gets it almost perfect. No match feels the same, online/offline matches are totally different but equally enjoyable.

The game does have 1/2 things letting it down which stops it being a perfect 10 in my opinion but hopefully Konami can iron these out as time goes on.

This game gets a 5.8 user score??? That's just crazy. Gameplay in this game is pure heavenly. Much and I mean MUCH better then last years version. Every match is different and each player has it's own qualities you can exploit. My Club is getting better, also because of the new leveling system. You can really make your own team now: but yes, you need patience :). Great game and reallyThis game gets a 5.8 user score??? That's just crazy. Gameplay in this game is pure heavenly. Great game and really enjoying the gameplay, but also the graphics are much improved compared to last year. Great responses by all players in the field when talking about emotions. You see emotions in the field with the players, what makes it that you really are into it when playing a match. Can't get enough of playing matches and that seems a very good starting point! Expand

I never feel compelled to write reviews on any site, however PES 2016 is the rare exception as I feel that it's my duty to warn others who are considering an update and are still on the fence. Speaking of updates, the squads feature the roster of the 2014-15 season, something which is shameful ( Cech is still on the Chelsea team, Falcao at Man. U, ect). One can expect many unlicensed teams, but to not even have strips that are the same colour as the real teams is appalling. There are even fewer desirable teams than other versions of PES, with the exclusion of Bundesliga (except for 3 teams), particular Borrusia Dortmund being the most notable. Certain leagues are present (unlicensed may I add) that would not interest the average player, such as the Chilean league and the Championship. The game is also lacking many playable features, something which Fifa is not lacking. However, the actual gameplay and matches feel more engrossing and intense than Fifa but even that is stress inducing. It is way too easy to score and concede and sometimes feels like an arcade, scoring straight from kick off via a through ball is not uncommon. Goalkeepers are atrocious, they parry almost any ball into the box and any hard shot which is on target normally result in a goal. This was also present in the last iteration of PES I have played, 2008. The AI also seems to be lacking, as defenders fail to pick up runs and attackers are slow to react when in offiside positions. The only major positive in the whole game was the training modes, both skills and free training are enjoyable and improve your overall game. To summarize, this is an outdated, frustrating game that gets tiresome quickly. Do not think for even a second that Konami are any different from EA, they both share a common disregard for quality. At least EA have a glossy game that feels fully realised. Expand

PES 16 has perhaps the better gameplay but much missing here easily.
There is a lack in my opinion:
    -The Wide scope
-Many Licenses of leagues, players, tournaments, etc.
    - A beautiful graphics (players look like plastic)
It is playful but better appearance and content PES 16 is a handle in the toilet.

Usually i would sing the praise of pes while this year has brought the gameplay on leaps and bounds its still stuck with so many bugs and the whole lack of any summer transfers makes me hope 2k games starts making football sims the refs ruin the game with the lack of calling fouls and giving bookings the slight lag is annoying but i can over look it for the new passing and shooting but theUsually i would sing the praise of pes while this year has brought the gameplay on leaps and bounds its still stuck with so many bugs and the whole lack of any summer transfers makes me hope 2k games starts making football sims the refs ruin the game with the lack of calling fouls and giving bookings the slight lag is annoying but i can over look it for the new passing and shooting but the goal keepers seem very unbalanced can make a great save then palm it in by jumping the wrong way. Im not gonna moan about licences cause e.a holds the monoplay on them and i know the pes team doesnt have the same money as e.a to spend so il overlook the whole edit mode the same way. The non summer transfers is a complete joke patching it in seems so retarded it makes the game feel like a reskin of 2015 im waiting to start my master league till there in and knowing konami its gonna be a few weeks at the earliest the only good thing i can say about pes 2016 is that on ps4 its amazing thanks to the editing community i will be trading this game in come friday and picking up fifa which as crap as it may be has at least refs who work and summer transfer upto date Expand

Massive improvement over older instalments of the game and the mechanics feel more real than any FIFA game ever has. FIFA has the obvious technical and content advantages when it boils down to a game of football Pro Evo is a decent game

Every year it seems PES start from scratch, no complaints against it, in fact I can say that I feel a little pride, for each year, the franchise tries to innovate and bring something new, and really can. Fluid gameplay, fun, stylish graphics and excellent gameplay, PES makes a choice for those seeking a good football game.

Wow, I just gave a PES game an 8 and I'd give Fifa a 4 this year. I've played Fifa for as long as I could imagine, I remember playing Fifa 2003 and Hilariously tackling the Goalkeeper, I remember 2004 playing with my Brother, The only memories of PES I have is 1 game on the PSP, apart from that I never liked it except for Diving which was my only positive before.

    Now why have I waited

Now why have I waited until 6+ months after release to write a review? Because only about a week ago did I buy PES 2016, why? Because I was sick of the BS and after playing PES I've come to realise that's all it is, Constant Balls going only JUST out of reach so the Goalkeeper can get it, I'm not going to rant but I wanted, No I NEEDED a change of scenery so I played the Demo a bunch and convinced myself to buy it for the low price of £22. Of course I knew Multiplayer wasn't going to be an option because It's terrible and I knew it was going to be but I wasn't buying it for that and could deal with the Computer (Though the new Sim Coach mode is pretty cool for MyClub).

What makes PES Stand out from Fifa? The Gameplay in SO many ways, telling your players to make run, passing and then running, Controlling the Defense Line!

PES 2016 is inconsistently superb, but it can no longer be ignored. Football fans have a difficult choice to make this year. You can follow the money and glamour of FIFA or embrace the grassroots love of the game in PES 2016. Neither choice seems wrong to us, but neither is perfect yet either. What we do have finally though, after a decade or so of waiting, is a real contest.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 resembles more real soccer than FIFA 16, but loses on other features, like license. [Oct 2015]
