Potata: The Fairy Flower is a 2D Puzzle Platformer. You play as the young witch Potata, she loves nature, and the fairies. When we first meet her it's during a dream about being with the fairies. When we first meet her it's during a dream about being with the fairies. You get introduced to Potatas' mother, when you're sent on a mission to get ingredients for a potion, so you can make your sick totem Fox feel better. Then while out on this mission, you pick a flower that starts our grand adventure. I don't want to tell you any more, as the story is wonderful and writen in a fashion its easy to keep up with. The platforming here is a mixture of fairly simple to unforgiving. You will also have to solve puzzles along the way. These puzzles come with no instructions and this can cause quite a bit of frustration. The first puzzle, and one of the eaisier, was a Lights-Out style puzzle, there was a grid with a pattern marked out, and as you click a space it will either light or turn off any space to one of the four sides, and you have to light up the pattern on the grid. The relief of solving one of these puzzles is huge, and the Eureka moment can be satisfying. The animation and music go well together lending a bright and magical experience. The game is a lot fun, but not for the faint of heart, as it will challenge your skill and wit. Expand

A challenging game, despite its fairy-tale appearance.

Potata: fairy flower on Xbox One has some major issues, and most of these just come down to its design. It has interesting ideas but practically none of them are very original. Its art style is a let-down in contrast to the promotional material and very little thought has been put into the overall consistency of the world. Yes it functions reasonably well as a platformer, but doesn’t offer anything you can’t find better elsewhere.
