    If you loved the first PvZ:GW you will love this one. This one has everything you loved about the first one, but adds 3 (6 total) more characters for both sides. It also steps up solo play. So you always have something to do.

    My son loves the first one and has loved this one so far also. I'm more of a casual shooter fan, and I really love the things EA did to drag the more casual players into the carnage. It has some single player campaigns. Though not huge they are fun for casuals. They even added a thing where you can solo with 3 AI. Which I love. They added a "backyard" with this staging area "base" for the players. The backyard is a stalemate park between both factions bases and is a fight that just keeps revving up (including all the bosses). I did this split screen with my son. We really enjoyed it. Though right now there isn't much reward for doing it. I have a feeling they will add more quest to it, which will make this an incredible split screen and solo quest area.

    They also made sure your progress in the first one moves with you. Your base has a mailbox and they mail you loyalty rewards, which includes all your unlocks you earned in the first game, a bunch of cards, and a 100k coins for your loyalty. They also added daily quest like MMO's which encourage/pay in game coins for completion. And on top of this you earn stars as you complete missions, which increases your XP earned. This will help everyone open all gear quicker and encourage casuals to get out there and enjoy the PVP.

    I really enjoy the improvements so far. The AI toons are a great addition. Though I wish they added it to Garden Ops (if no one joins). I also would like to see the AI added to split screen or the option to maybe invite your other XB1 friends to split screen GO. They have added the ability to make all matches private or invite only. So that is great if you want to only play with friends/family. If they keep adding daily/Solo quests and add more rewards to the backyard this game has a lot to offer for the price.    … Expand

    Most fun multiplayer shooting game there is atm. Graphic desing is very colorful. Gameplay is solid like a fluid. The whole very stylish cartoon like look and solid gameplay with multiple fun classes makes this game maby the best multiplayer game this year and best EA game for sure. There are little balance problems. Plants and Rose are bit too strong so thats why i give it 9/10. WithoutMost fun multiplayer shooting game there is atm. Graphic desing is very colorful.     An absolute blast to play. Love the ability to play splitscreen on the couch with friends, and being able to play any mode with or against any set up of AI was a huge plus for me. Characters are wacky, maps are gorgeous whats not to love!

    i played garden warfare 1 since the release and i loved the game so much that i played it until now (26/2/2016).
    the gw2 is a very good game but it kinda feel like a full season pass for pvz gw1 which is kinda sad.
    but i love this game and i would buy it one more time if i have to because its so much fun!!
    10/10 IGN for me!

    I personally completely regret buying this game. Although the game looks good, it is actually very boring, and just felt like endless waste of time. I had to stop after 3 hours wasted on it. I wont even gift it to my little cousins, they deserve better!

    EA has introduced the option to gamble for children in this 'everyone' rated game. Acquiring legendary characters requires the player to purchase sticker packs with the 'chance' of getting one of two sections that make up those characters. One cannot get them through skills and abilities, but only by chance. Kids are not allowed in casinos but they are allowed in this game to play the 'sticker machine bandit'. The multiplayer is the typical formula used by EA. Prestige level 8 players with oodles of upgrades are pitted against base level 1 players with basically no upgades. One incredibly lazy design garnered to make money and frustrating for some players. I have quit all of the EA published multiplayer experiences and I will be doing the same here. I like the designs and sounds of the playgrounds and characters created, but it is unfortunately infested with EAs lingering poisonous vapors. You know, that oily feeling one gets when having come in contact with some truely evil experience. I will play the next Mass Effect and Dragon Age because I still believe in the relative integrity of the lore makers, but not their multiplayer. I should add that this game is quite aggressive and violent. It is only destroying, shooting, killing. Beneath the seemingly charming surface is nothing but shooting at and being shot at whether in the backyard or involved in multiplayer. Because of the money making practices instilled in this game and introducing this to children, not being caring enough about character balance, multiplayer balance, no real single player experience, and all those invisible sloppy barriers, edges, and sandbox discrepancies I give it a 5.… Expand

    A fantastic game, despite frustrating random unlocks. The increased single-player depth makes an incredibly addictive experience even easier to pick up and play.

    looks great but super boring. hold right trigger button. no more. deeply regret the purchase this review must be 150 characters.... no not yet. ok well i'm voting for an experiment. we get what we deserve 150 yet?

    Oui, le ton très enfant en bas âge conviendrait à merdeveille aux consoles tendaube, les graphismes en 256 couleurs, ce dessin animé bien niais, tellement neuneu que je vais chier de la grenadine si je continue à "jouer" à cette "chose". Je ne suis pas un enfant, ni un bobo, ni un étudiant de gauche (pléonasme pardon), donc forcément je suis imperméable à toute la "poésie" qui dégouline.

    Attention, c'est tout de même en 60 im/s, c'est du boulot quand même. Même que c'est le Frostbite 3 sous toute cette barbouille de marmots, tu le crois ça ? Putain non, je le crois pas. Tout ça juste pour un "tower defence" à la mords-moi-le-zob aussi con que répétitif ? merde ! Et attends, je te garde le meilleur pour la fin : cette daube indé, elle coûte 70 balles !     Solid game, very good multiplayer, massive roster of characters to play, endless fun and you will have hours and hours of fun to play.

    I love this game. It got me through so mu years of high school. It definitely was it's predecessor to gw1 but that's because it improved upon the game. Variants, gun play, story, and game modes. Story mode is a bit off. But I still loved the missions. Infinity time is amazing solo, or with friends. This game is a must play.

    This game is one of the best third person shooters out. Things it aces:
    -Customisation
    -Maps
    -Characters & Classes
    -Leveling system

    This game is a full package, the 1st game was good, this one is even better. They are still sorting balancing issues with the new classes but that doesn't change the score i give it.

    Plants vs Zombies is back!!!!! Except they're on a Garden Warfare. Pick a plant and prepare to get their brains or fail and make them eat your brains.

    This game is a major improvement over the 2014 predecessor. With an interesting HUB world (limited too) new characters and creative new maps, this is a great game that you should at least check out.

    PvZ GW2 strives to be better than its predecessor and succeeds. The new characters, maps, and overall feel of the game make it feel as though great strides have been made while keeping the same sense of familiarity as the first game in the series.
    While I did not find the single player modes to be all that interesting, the multiplayer experience was excellent.     This game is a great alternative shooter, and I feel like almost anyone can enjoy it. Its gameplay is complimented by a hefty roster of charachters (115 as of December 2016) and a huge variety of custimizations to make each players charachters unique. I feel liek the game could use just a couple more maps, and I feel liek it could take a little less time to unlock a new charachter, as it often takes a while.     Recommended for people who like shooters and games with unlockable items/characters

    Amazing!!! loads of offline things to do,including missions,backyard battleground,offline garden/graveyard-ops and more.but not much difference online apart from the new characters and costumes

    I played this at my friend's house, and overall it's mostly just shooting other plants or zombies. It's really boring and I don't know why some of my friends like this game. They have become addicted to it and asked each other every day if they got any new characters.     This game is downright mediocre the new plants are boring. But the abilities are SUPER FUN! The campaign is ok and Co-Op SUCKS.

The graphics are gorgeous, the music is fun and sounds good, the variety of gameplay styles is nice with each character feeling fun to play in their own ways, and the amount of content you have in the game makes it well worth the price. This game expands onPlants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 is a very enjoyable experience, with enough content and characters to satisfy anyone who plays it. The graphics are gorgeous, the music is fun and sounds good, the variety of gameplay styles is nice with each character feeling fun to play in their own ways, and the amount of content you have in the game makes it well worth the price. This game expands on the ideas and concepts of the first game to the point where it's basically the objectively superior entry. Of course, I still like the first game more, but I cannot deny how excellent this game is. The only problem I have with this game is that the Sticker Packs, which are the main way of getting everything in the game, are quite expensive (especially compared to the first GW). Fortunately, they are still achievable without buying the coins needed to purchase them, which is a welcome surprise considering EA published this game. Sometimes the people online can be toxic players (targetting you for no reason), but if you don't enjoy that then you can host private games with AI that you can customize to your liking. The offline content is excellent, the online is nice, the game performs well with no frame rate drops or severe glitches, what more could you want?

    Overall, PVZ GW2 is an excellent game that's just flat out fun to play, especially with a few friends. The amount of content doesn't feel bloated or boring in anyway, making the price well worth it. If you're into fun games where you can just sit down and have a good time, get this game. I swear that it will be worth it.    … Expand

    The game itself is amazing! The only downside are the maps. I'm not a big fan of some of the maps. I prefer GW1 maps. In my opinion GW2 is definitely better than GW1 from a game design and content standpoint. I'd rate it 8.5

    I may be biased but I always loved Plants vs Zombies the franchise and yes this game got this rating from me due to the funny characters how for once in blue moon EA doesn't have pay to win loot crates just normal and grindable loot crates. I just love how much this game has to offer for the price. Such as a Campain, multiplayer mode and much more including the secrets. Garden Warfare 2 fixes most of the issues of Garden Warfare 1 while expanding to create a game with its own character. The backyard, the town hall, the single player, private andPlants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 blew me away on launch, doing what most sequels fail to do by redefining and mastering the formula of its predecessor while still staying true to the foundation it was built on. Garden Warfare 2 fixes most of the issues of Garden Warfare 1 while expanding to create a game with its own character. The backyard, the town hall, the single player, private and solo games, and an easier party system are all great additions; and the additions of eight extra classes along with a ton of new variants really spice up the gameplay and make each side, plant or zombie, feel incredibly entertaining and much more balanced than the original game, where zombies felt like the more dominant side. Everything in Garden Warfare 1’s combat stays; the movement on all classes is somewhat slow and stagnant, not changing unless a certain variant (like Hot Rod Chomper or Metal Petal), or a movement altering ability (like Rocket Leap or Warp) is used, making Garden Warfare 2’s combat still feel very linear; but in a much better way. Garden Warfare 2 encourages you to stay in a fight once you’ve begun one; similar to GW1, which is even further helped by the fact that GW2 tones down the map sizes on most maps to be a lot smaller, which aids in creating situations where do or die fights are a lot more common; even if GW1 already encouraged those kinds of fights. The movement on most classes is still very explosive when it needs to be, with interesting new ways to move for the newer classes, such as imp’s double jump, or citron being able to turn into a ball to roll around incredibly quickly. With old burst movement options like Turbo Jackhammer still being in the game, it makes GW2’s combat still feel as rewarding and even exploitable as GW1’s; but unlike GW1, because of the maps being smaller, crazy movement is a lot less frustrating to play against as there’s less to move around on. GW1’s maps are fun to play on to see where you can move around on, but GW2’s maps are fun because they have a focus on interesting terrain and it intertwining with combat while not harming it. Moon Base Z has anti-gravity, and has a lot of interesting buildings to jump around on. Seeds Of Time wildly expands on this concept, with each point wildly changing where you fight at, from the park itself, to egypt, Rome, and beyond. GW2 nails it’s player and environment interaction, which makes most of the maps in this game outright just a blast to move around on, even if the maps are less free than GW1 in a lot of ways. GW2 masters map design, giving a similar advantage to each side for most of its points. It’s miscellaneous maps, such as Sandy Sands or Z-Tech Factory are a blast for all of their respective gamemodes as well, having fun gimmicks and solid map design that make them a blast to pick up and play, even after years of playing the game. GW2 has some oddities of its own, such as Taco Bandits not returning as a permanent gamemode, and community challenges shutting down; but overall Garden Warfare 2 still remains a masterpiece of the series, and is a must-by for anyone who loves movement-based shooters.… Expand

    Best pvz game, Chaotic multiplayer and funny story mode, i want to give 10, but the game isen't perfect, have bugs(a lot, but Harmless and funny), unbalanced characters, bad server, and the pay to win method from EA games. i.... Love this game, but is forgotten, i... Remember... The afternoons... I see gameplays from the game... every... sigle.. day.     Garden Warfare 2 makes up for most of its predecessor's shortcomings. With Solo Quests, solo and split-screen support for more modes, new characters, and the expansive Backyard Battlegrounds hub world, this sequel feels like the full-sized game that fans always wanted.

    I feel sorry for Garden Warfare 2. It’s a great game (right now the best utilizing Frostbite 3 engine) that probably will be dismissed contemptuously by those too “adult” to shoot corn kernels at zombies. [04/2016, p.38]
