So you go into a house (loading 1-3 mins on Xbox one), you talk to a couple of NPCs, you go up to the 2nd floor (loading), talk to NPCs, go back down (loading), go out (loading), go into another house (loading) to tell another NPC what u been doing, go back out (loading)… and there goes 30-40 mins of your time. I haven't gone far into the game because of that, trying to keep up...

Other negative points: frame rate drops, some glitches, conversations are often barely interesting.
Positive: Character customization and combat is quite in depth.
Neutral: You will spend more time reading your Journal to know what do. Overall story and game design seem OK-ish.

You will find no greater RPG company than Obsidian, Pillars Of Eternity II: Deadfire is a phenomenal game designed by phenomenal people. Which is why it breaks my heart that the console versions are ported by a company that clearly does not care the state they’re in. Loading screens are constant and long, every door of every location has a 45 second to 1 minute wait time even if the location itself is only 10 seconds of play time. Achievements for the Xbox are bugged (just like the first game) meaning for Xbox gamers they are unobtainable unless patched, but everyone who played the first knows they are not going to be.

BUY THIS GAME!!! But only on PC obsidian delivered a masterpiece yet again, such a shame the company they delegate ports too couldn’t care less. Now that they’ve been acquired by Xbox game studios big hopes for the future, but for now have to drop the rating as it’s buggy and oftentimes unplayable

Pillars of Eternity II is a good game, but the Xbox One port needs more polish.

While Deadfire is still a fantastic game and one of the best isometric RPGs in recent years, it’s clearly much better suited for a PC audience. If that isn’t an option for you, there’s still a solid port here with the Xbox One version, if you can see past any of the technical missteps.
