    Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Ultimate Edition is an Action-Adventure RPG. One of the finest RPGs sequels has made it to console, and contains all of the DLC as well! I don't even know where to start. Within the first few minutes of the game, it achieved one of its core goals and made me feel like I was at the Tabletop, with the DM telling me what was going on. This feeling neverPillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Ultimate Edition is an Action-Adventure RPG. One of the finest RPGs sequels has made it to console, and contains all of the DLC as well! I don't even know where to start. Within the first few minutes of the game, it achieved one of its core goals and made me feel like I was at the Tabletop, with the DM telling me what was going on. This feeling never ceased. with any encounters being mostly scripted sets, with options on how I wanted my character to react in these situations. The game has a rich history and ties directly into the first game, even allowing for the transfer of your old character. The Tabletop feeling started with the character creation when I was asked how I dealt with the events of the first game, with a handful of options, and the option to customize this history. Then the rich detail in the race and class selection, with each race and has having a subset to further hone the character into what I wanted. The scripting for each and every interaction was immensely detailed and well-acted when voices were included. The "Narrator" manages to hold the Dungeon Master tonality, and just deepened the immersion. This game is NOT for impatient people, as there is a good deal of decision making, and exploration. Combat can be set to one of two modes, Real-time with the ability to pause the action, and place commands, or Turn-Based Tactics style. Both modes require a bit of strategy, and both ways are enjoyable to use. Turn-Based feels more like the Tabletop experience I've been itching for, where the realtime feel more like a videogame to me. The game is so deep and intricate, the story can go so many different ways. Overall Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Ultimate Edition is one of the best RPG experiences I've had the pleasure to play. RPG fans and players of the first game shouldn't hesitate to snatch this title up!… Expand

    Quel dommage, quel grand dommage, car si ce n'était une liste de problèmes longue comme le bras, cette suite du premier Pilliers d'Eternité est sensiblement meilleure ! bien mieux écrite et développée et presque un monde ouvert, enfin presque puisqu'on peut naviguer sur les flots et explorer ce grand archipel comme on le souhaite... ou presque.

    Néanmoins, si l'histoire est plus intéressante -ou moins ballote- la campagne principale laisse sur sa faim et s'avère courte mais surtout très mal faite vers la fin (ou au milieu ?) de l'acte 3 lorsqu'il faut passer de l'autre côté... et là, soit il faut farmer du "bois noir" introuvable ainsi que des montagnes de fric, soit il faut s'allier avec l'une des factions en présence et parvenir à accomplir les tâches demandées, chose impossible puisqu'elles sont toutes bugguées leur mère.

    Peut-être pas toutes cela dit... mais j'ai perdu patience sur cette porte bloquée qui exige un niveau en "mécanique" bien trop elévé. Et là, j'ai dit "stop" car aucune alternative n'est proposée, en dehors du farmage de crevard ou des autres quêtes bugguées leur race (comme le vaisseau fantôme trop fantomatique... et introuvable par exemple !).

    En dehors de ça, ou en plus de ça, les temps de chargement sont comme dans le premier très nombreux et bien trop longs (de 30 s à 1 mn !) et mettent la patience à rude épreuve... de même que d'autres bugs récurrents (plantages du chargement de la carte du 'bateau', personnage bloqué après un combat, voyage qui fait n'importe quoi et vous emmène n'importe où dans la ville...).

    De toute façon, les factions se ressemblent beaucoup trop et on observe également une nette tendance à la justice sociale (pauvres indigènes patati et patata) plus ou moins geignarde même si on peut les envoyer chier... mais alors dans ce cas, lorsqu'il faudra passer de l'autre côté à l'acte 3, si vous vous êtes mis à dos trop de factions, vous serez coincés entre d'une part le farmage de bois noir introuvable et d'autre part une ou deux factions restantes dont les missions sont complètement bugguées... et infaisables !

    Le jeu en l'état n'est donc pas 'finissable', ce qui énerve énormément, presque autant que tous ces bugs, **** ou gros... Bref, Obsidian reste Obsidian mais là, c'est, que dis-je, tout est globalement bien pire que dans le premier Pillars... quelle merde !    … Expand

    POE2 is a great game with a lot of content. With an even greater number of available companions to join your party your style of play can be tailored to suit your desires. It may take some time to get used to the controls, that have changed slightly from the initial game. Currently, there are lengthy loading screen which may diminish some peoples enjoyment. Overall, well worth playing.

    Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Ultimate Edition is the definitive version of the Obsidian game that saw the light in 2018. Now on consoles it comes with all its content, the main game and its three DLC Beast of Winter, Seekeer, Slayer, Suvivor and The Forgotten Sanctum. This second installment improves everything that the first Pillars of Eternity brought us with a new multi-class system and the implementation of new and epic naval battles and crew management.

    If you don't have a high-range PC gaming, this console version is the best way to enjoy this title, with all the DLCs and patches included with no extra download required. As for the game itself, it's one of the better CPRG out there.
