Outbreak Epidemic is definitely a well-finished and polished game. Without being a wager on the technical side, it does perfectly what it is intended to do: it creates atmosphere, puts us in tension and entertains us.

Outbreak: Epidemic has a concept I can get behind, being a fan of survival horror titles. Unfortunately, attempting to stand next to the giants of the genre only shows just how flawed the end result is. Poor visuals and repetitive gameplay mean it’s unlikely to have you sticking around for long, though if you’ve enjoyed the previous entries in the series you may find some fun here too.

OUTBREAK Epidemic is a 3rd Person Action Shooter Horror Puzzle Multiplayer Game. Set in the Ever-Raining OUTBREAK world, You play as one of four Characters as you survive the darkness, filled with mutant abominations, and the undead. You can play with up to 3 people, slightly increasing your chances at survival, but spreading the already slim supplies pretty thin. Pulling in all the weapons you've become accustomed to with the other Outbreak games, you are plagued with constantly low ammo, and even less frequent health items. The gameplay is also similar to the previous titles, as you have to find codes to unlock things, to acquire the items you need to progress, almost point-and-click style. The graphics haven't seen much of an improvement from the previous titles, with nearly the same renders for the enemies, and environment. The ambient sounds keep a tense feeling, especially adding that it's always raining when you're outside limiting visibility, the sounds the creatures emit can be bone-chilling, especially when a reptile unleashes its screech in a nearly silent moment. More of a continuation of the previous titles, OUTBREAK Epidemic is a nails-hard and unforgiving game. Hardcore Horror Survival Buffs and fans of any OUTBREAK Game should check this out! Full Review »
