You control your own hero through the events of One Punch Man's First season. You start out in Character Creation, with very limited options available to you, but many more unlockable while you play. This customization is amazing, especially once you unlock a bunch of cosmetics. Once you get your character made your adventure begins, and you meet Lecture Man, who guides you through your tutorial. And thus you begin your journey as a Hero! This journey is a ton of repetitive quests, either fetch and delivery quests or defeat the enemy. And once and a while you're path crosses that of the anime's storyline. The abundance of repeating the same thing creates a slow progression. The combat is heavy and sluggish, creating even more drag. This, unfortunately, doesn't feel like it captures what the anime delivers. The game is loaded with the humor from the anime, almost too much of it, as the jokes get stale after being reused countless times. and when Saitama joins the match, it's over, as he doesn't take damage, and wins with one punch... The online combat is unbalanced, as Saitama will show up, and the game uses the stats you've built during the game, so if you aren't a higher level be prepared to get smashed. You will see all the characters from the show, and during side missions, other players avatars can show up for you to use. Definitely made for the fans, the game is fun, but can become stale quickly.

A real smack in the face to any One Punch fans. The voice acting is terrible in terms of editing especially. It would sound better if my discord narrated it. The combat is okay at best and lackluster most of the time. The fact that it takes several hours to even unlock Saitama in a fighting game about his show is asinine. Enemies are mostly just a palette swap. Character customization is cool once you start unlocking stuff. But it just isn’t worth the time. Go play Xenoverse, FighterZ, or Smash. Expand

One-Punch Man fans have a lot to be excited about with this game and should definitely check it out! Even though the game is not centered around Saitama, it does closely follow the first few major story arcs in the manga, which makes this nerd very happy. The game is also simple enough for a young child to follow and enjoy (if the parent is okay with violence and chaos, that is). All in all, I give this game a 75 out of 100 for its easy to grasp combat system, endless player customization, and the beautiful visuals.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is, unfortuantely, One Punch Man: A Game Nobody Will Play. It doesn't treat the source material with the respect it deserves and, ultimately, feels flat all things considered.

It's difficult to recommend a game as bland as One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows to anyone; even hardcore fans of the manga. It definitely has its charms but underneath the surface, an incredibly hollow experience resides.
