    Obduction: The new adventure from Cyan is a First Person Adventure game; you find yourself abducted and spirited away to a far away place, you are presented with problems and are tasked with finding solutions by soving puzzles of various difficulties, however none overly so, however unless you realise the type of game you are in for this could seem a little fustrating as very littleObduction: The new adventure from Cyan is a First Person Adventure game; you find yourself abducted and spirited away to a far away place, you are presented with problems and are tasked with finding solutions by soving puzzles of various difficulties, however none overly so, however unless you realise the type of game you are in for this could seem a little fustrating as very little guidance is given from the game, clues are either found when interacting with objects and by looking around, the npc character, who seems to be the only survivor in the town will give a general indication of what needs to be done then you are left to wander and explore. The game does provide you with plenty of walking to do and plenty of things to interact with and figure out. Obduction does also provide a nice storyline to follow though not as deep and immersive as I would have hoped given the developers history but enough to keep you wanting to continue, complemented by strong and believeable acting throughout Obduction does a good job of keeping you in the game. Visually the game is very well presented, menus are simplistic and all the detail has gone into the enviroment and scenery, this is good as you will spend plenty of time walking. As you explore the town of Hunrath, you will get exposed to bright vibrant colours and deep dark tones that work flawlessly together making the area come to life while being devoid of it, well mostly anyway. The characters you encounter, both the living and holo look great Overall: I think this game is worthwhile purchase, from a brillant developer with a good history this is a game that follows on from the likes of Myst but is not held back by it and stands on it's own very well. With plenty to explore and good replay value this is a great game to pick up.… Expand

    If you loved the likes of Myst and Riven back in the day, then Obduction on Xbox One is a must-buy, if only because of the different pace and puzzle solving methods it brings.

    I still really enjoyed my time with Obduction, even despite getting severely stuck at points. It looks great, there’s a compelling tale being told and for the most part the puzzles are just the right balance of difficulty, rewarding our time spent invested in exploring the world. A little more guidance – even an optional hint system – could have kept me from visiting Google, but the fact I still wanted to continue means it must be doing something right.
