This is a short game that is part walking simulator and part visual novel. It is - as the title implies - very nostalgic, with a Japanese flavor.

I will give the game a seven because the maker tried something different. The game could have done with a bit of extra polish, though. For example, it would really have helped if the hit boxes of the story trigger points would have been

The game could have done with a bit of extra polish, though. For example, it would really have helped if the hit boxes of the story trigger points would have been bigger/wider, because it is very easy to walk past them even if you are walking on the right route. The game offers a way to reveal the (next) trigger points, but using that takes you out of the experience (a least a bit).

So enjoyable if this is a type of game you like already. If you are new to 'walking sims' I would rather recommend a title like "What Remains of Edith Finch".

Nostalgic Train paints a beautiful picture. It would just be nice to see it too.
