How can a broken game be broken and at the same time be the best game ever made? Yes, it cheated on me, but now it loves me more than ever. Yes, NMS is asking to marry me, and this time I couldn't help, but say "Of course, my darling, I'll marry you, and love you forever".
    Tks Hello Games

No Man's Sky Beyond is the first time I've put any time into NMS since it's rocky launch in 2016. I came in with excitement as I read the community had been excited since the changes in 2018 with NEXT. Little did I realize how different and breathtaking of an experience it would be.

Controls: I play on the Xbox and the controls have issues at times and it's difficult trying to zero

Controls: I play on the Xbox and the controls have issues at times and it's difficult trying to zero on exactly what you should be looking at. Shooting in this game is not good, plain and simple. In this game only I have plenty of issues zeroing on sentinel, luckily I feel like this is a tertiary feature of NMS. Starship controls are great and feel smooth! I've combined both of them in because you spend more time out of the ship than in (not that much more though) -- (3 out of 5 (Could be alot better on the ground))

Gameplay Loop: This is where the game shines in my opinion. The main loop consists of heading to a new star system, visiting the space station and exploring the planets of said system. The best part is the rabbit holes it tends to lead you down. One moment you may be looking for a particular material and the next you may be digging out an ancient ruin for artifact worth a lot of "unit" (in-game currency. It's fun and after 50+ hours I'm still seeing new stuff (5 out 5).

Long-term Gameplay Goals: There's plenty to do but I could see how some of these goals could get boring quickly. However, getting all the materials to build an amazing base is a fun long-term goal and produces some of the most visually pleasing bases of any game I've played. Also, hunting for that perfect ship is extremely satisfying as well. (5 out 5)

Atmosphere. This one is simple. The best atmosphere I've played in, in a long time. IT'S AN ENTIRE GALAXY! It won't take you forever to realize that each planet is quite like other planets but it still feels like somewhere new, if only slightly. No loading screens in the entire star system makes the game feel like you are really traveling the cosmos. (A very strong 5 out 5).

Story. Not the greatest story but it feels very appropriate for the outended style of game it's in. It provided enough that I felt like I need to see it to the end. It's no Mass Effect but it raises a few questions that are mildly thought-provoking. (4 out 5)

Graphics. I played on an Xbox One X with a 1080p 60fps monitor and damn the game looks absolutely beautiful. I play with high quality on and do notice frame drops on occasion but get 30fps consistently. (5 out of 5)

This game is worth every penny and I wish I could go back in time and experience it with fresh eyes all over again.

I gave No Man's Sky the chance it deserves and it surprised me. This game became something wonderful. Also its story (main quest) is a beautiful script of science fiction, if you are going to give the game a chance, then stick to the main quest, you may find it gratifying, and so the game itself Expand

No Man’s Sky, now in its third year, has vastly improved in virtually every way, from the number and scale of things you can build alone or with friends to the story and progression. But in its heart still beats a vicious grind and painful monotony that’s difficult to swallow even with all the new content and quality-of-life improvements. Even so, it’s easy to be drawn to its addictive ecosystem of upgrades and exploration, and with functional multiplayer and VR capabilities in play there’s a lot to love about this space-faring exploration adventure.

Ignoring the huge hassle of powering your base and how difficult it is to use the industrial hotspots, I still enjoyed all of the changes in No Man's Sky Beyond. There's quite a variety of them so if you're a long-time No Man's Sky player, I'm sure you'll find something to enjoy. However, be warned because if you have any old bases, it might take a while to power them all up.
