    There are plenty of weapons you can obtain and you can chop and change each weapon you get which keeps things fresh and interesting for longer. There are plenty of different enemies you have to face during your time with the game and I was impressed with how creative some of the enemies were.

    Playing this game in co-op is very fun and the inclusion of an online component gives the game quite a bit in terms of replayability. The dialogue in the game tickled my fancy quite a bit because the humour that’s present in the dialogue is actually pretty funny. I liked the presentation side of the game because both the visuals and sound design enhance the gameplay in some areas. Sometimes the difficulty can be a little bit of a problem and fighting tons of enemies can be frustrating and tedious from time to time.
    Buying the different items will take a while so be prepared for a little bit of grinding here and there. Does Ninjin: Clash of Carrots do enough to get a recommendation from me? Ninjin: Clash of Carrots is a game that’s perfect to play with a friend and with the added bonus of online you won’t be getting bored of this game anytime soon. You’ll also be pleased to know that anybody can play this game because it features a very easy to pick up and play style and there isn’t really anything complicated for you to grasp. The easy to pick up and play style doesn’t mean that the game isn’t challenging though because at times the game can be rather difficult and it will cause you a few frustrating moments every now and then. Thankfully though these frustrating moments never end up becoming too severe and in the end it doesn’t stop you from returning back to the game time and time again. At the end of the day Ninjin: Clash of Carrots is a game I thoroughly enjoyed because it stays fun and interesting most of the time and the amount of variety present in certain areas means there’s plenty of replaybility present resulting in a big recommendation from me.    … Expand

    Hack and slash fans will like what they find, as will endless-runner fans and those hardcore enthusiasts out there, but at the end of the day Ninjin: Clash of Carrots is a game that struggles with its own identity too much to be fully enjoyed.

    Ninjin: Clash of Carrots starts out as a silly, colorful beat 'em up, then takes a dark turn down a surprisingly frustrating and challenging path. There is a huge arsenal of weapons and perks with which to engage enemies in both local and online co-op. New gear is constantly unlocked along the way, which keeps things interesting (until you rage quit, that is). A little challenge is fine, but in Ninjin, many mechanics feel unfair, and the later bosses' difficulty level is a sharp contrast to the rest of the game. A bit of balancing of the end-game missions would do wonders, but unless that happens, Ninjin remains hard to recommend to everyone.

    Issues with its fluctuating difficulty curve and its short campaign length to the side, Ninjin is a decent beat ’em up that does a great job at combining its varying elements together to produce such a fast-paced and chaotic adventure. The gameplay goes a lot deeper than expected, and with support for both online and local multiplayer included, there’s little to scoff at here.
