Nov 16, 2017I went into Nightmare Boy not knowing what to expect. After multiple playthroughs, I can say I’ve really enjoyed everything the game has to offer. If after completing the game you’re looking for something to further the replay value, some of the achievements offered challenge players to complete the game without dying, without saving or even without killing any of the little friendly slime creatures riddled throughout the game. If you’re looking for a solid, challenging Metroidvania game to fill your free time, Nightmare Boy may be just what you’re looking for!

Nov 3, 2017I love the visuals, I adore the soundtrack and I feel the huge open world that is being delivered is ripe for exploration purposes. But the sheer ruthlessness of the bosses that have caged the poor children is just a bit too much to bear, as is the struggle back from the checkpoint after they have wiped you out for what seems like the millionth time.

Oct 31, 2017A most effective metroidvania with referents such as such as Decap Attack, Cool Spot or Global Gladiatiors. But is not another game built on nostalgia, it takes his predecessor to achieve it's own personality. A solid gameplay and a beautiful art design complete a game that should be and instant classic for arcade lovers.
