    The game is cool indeed, I like that gameplay type, but why the hell it works sooo badly on my xbox one x?? It always falls in freezes once the a lot of enemies in the room or on bosses, those lags enrages me to death, I always loose some hp when this **** happens. Witcher3 runs smoothly and this 2d platformer freezes to 0 fps often on xone x. In addition there also bugs occurs when you have no other choice but to restart from the beginning, i.e. one final mob in the room happens immune to bullets and it's not possible to kill him or the boss just disappears in the middle of fight and you are not able to proceed to next level. What the hell is this? Is this bad quality only on xone or the same on other platforms too? Such really nice game turned out so crapped, I hope they will issue a patch soon… Expand

The only issues I had with the game is the upgrade system and the desired power-ups are hard to come by each time you play. The rooms generate every fresh play, this definitely makes it unique and stand out from the other games in the same genre, and also keeps the game feeling fresh for much longer, so if you looking for a challenging retro inspired game with eye candy and variety Neon Abyss is sure to scratch that itch. It's fun and is a game I have no issue with recommending to those looking for something new and refreshing to play without breaking the bank. Well done Team17.… Expand

    I love roguelikes, and I REALLY wanted to like this game, but I simply just couldn't get into it. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a BAD game - it just isn't that great. It's a fine time-waster, but falls short so often that it doesn't feel very good to play. The controls feel very unpolished, aiming seems inaccurate at times, hitboxes don't work as good as they should, and jumping feelsI love roguelikes, and I REALLY wanted to like this game, but I simply just couldn't get into it. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a BAD game - it just isn't that great. It's a fine time-waster, but falls short so often that it doesn't feel very good to play. The controls feel very unpolished, aiming seems inaccurate at times, hitboxes don't work as good as they should, and jumping feels HORRIBLE. If you can get past these flaws, along with the poor level generation, there is a lot to like here. The bosses are as creative as some of the best roguelikes ever (TBOI, Enter the Gungeon) and are really fun to discover. In addition to that, the game understand what makes a roguelike fun and really capitalises on that. At the end of the dat, I don't think this was the developers fault. Platformers and roguelikes don't mix well and I hope that one day I can be proven wrong.

    Reccomendation - If you REALLY like roguelikes and are looking for a fresh experience, this is not a bad purchase.

    C'est aussi de la plateforme, car l'étron indé ne sait faire que ça : de la plateforme mongoloïde, c'est le malpropre de tout étron indé qui ne se respecte pas. Au fait et à propos, ne jouez pas à des étrons indés puants de ce sous-genre : respectez-vous !

    C'est aussi du "jeu" de tir, car l'étron indé autorise le tir sur des **** tas de pixels lards qui s'agitent ; c'est là également l'infamie de tout étron indé qui ne sait pas faire grand-chose d'autre, forcément. On l'a compris, l'étron indé du week-end est aussi chiant qu'ennuyeux et aussi con que stupide. Viens là, chèe poubelle, j'ai (encore) à bouffer pour toi ! et si t'en veux pas, je le donnerai aux chiottes, elles ne sont pas très regardantes !    … Expand

    This game is really great fun, addicting but many bugs darken the picture. A little more finishing, more bosses, more variety in the scenery and enemies would have made a great game, whereas here we just have a nice little game.

    Wow.... As a youngster that grew up playing 8 bit games on a Commodore 64 because of my 80s obsessed dad this is a 16 bit breath of fresh AIR! recommend to ANYONE that loves dungeon crawlers and platformers.

    Very accessible roguelike, great for newcomers or ones not very good at this genre (like me). Repetitive enemes, and rng powered gameplay still holds this genre back for me personally. It's priced right and a solid indie game, but also doesn't do anything really special.

    This game is really cool but it's such a BIG mistake that you cannot preview items features, as well as the weapons, very annoying, sometimes you got suisidal items but no way to remove them.

    Great item variety is it's biggest strength but also it's downfall, as the game is really unbalanced and your run heavily relies on which items you get.

    This is absolutely one of my favorite games! I have not found a rouge-like game that I enjoyed before playing Neon Abyss. From the art style to the music and variety of weapons and enemies, I can't get enough!

    The empowerment and novelty of toppling gods made me look past the fact that Neon Abyss might be a bit too easy for vets familiar with this style of play. On the other hand, this makes it a great starting point for those craving a more forgiving difficulty curve, or newcomers wanting to begin their exploration of the Roguelike genre.

    It’s not easy, but then, nothing fun usually is right off the bat. Give it time, get used to the mechanics, and Neon Abyss will take place as that frustratingly fun game in your library.
